I didn't stay in though. I wanted to know where Tiffany was, so I walked outside in the yard. The territory was huge and if you wanted to find anyone, probably you wouldn't. Then it hit me. I walked towards the guest's house, my home-studio. And there she was. Sitting there all grumpy and silent, picking the strings of an acoustic guitar I had there. The door was opened so I just stayed there and knocked, to draw her attention.
"Babe?" I said.
Then she took her eyes from the guitar and looked at me.
"Are you alright?" I asked and approached her then sat on the couch right next to her.

She let the guitar on her stand. Her hands were crossed on her stomach now and she had a slight look of frustration in her face.
"Yes..." She said.
I brought my arm over her shoulder and hugged her, without saying a thing.
"Did she leave?"
"Hyoyeon?" I asked. "Yes."
"Okay."

She was jealous. I smiled at her, telling her that there was no need for jealousy. After all Hyoyeon was my best friend since childhood. I never liked her romantically. Ever. And neither did she. We have always been buddies through the difficult and the easy times. It was the strongest friendship I had.

"I have an idea." I said and kissed her cheek. "You got to meet my friend, so now you will introduce me to your friends as well."
"Fair enough." She said and put her head on my shoulder.

Silence filled the little room for a bit.

"You know..." I took the courage to talk about something that made me nervous and sad. "The police arrested my father today for fraud. He's serving surely time in prison."
"Good. After what he has done to you all these years, I want to see him behind bars. You don't deserve such treatment, Taeyeon."

The sweetest woman in the whole world. That's what she was to me.
"The trial is tomorrow morning and my lawyer suggested I be there, but I really don't want to see my father. Ever again."
It was a hard decision to make.
"Do you want me to come with you?" She said and held my hand. I instantly felt stronger. I gave her a smile right after.
"No, it's okay. I told him that I don't want to show up. My father would probably like to see me there. He's that twisted."

After that heavy conversation we had our lunch in a more calm atmosphere, with no wine included this time, and then we went to bed. It was such a tiring day at the company. But at least, at the end of the day, we found justice for our case. The mansion legitimately belonged to us and nobody else. My father was about to be present in tomorrow's trial and then serve time in prison. I didn't care about anything else. I only needed justice.

I felt inner peace. Lying next to her, meant the world to me. I didn't need anything more than waking up and sleeping next to her. She was my strength and I couldn't imagine myself without her anymore. My king-sized bed would always have a side for Tiffany.

After she did her night routine, she lied on top of me, teasing me again just to cheer me up. And she did it.
"Are you sleepy?" She asked.
"No, I'm thinking..."
"Of me?"
"I always think of you." I admitted. That was the truth after all. Tiffany was always on my mind. How could a woman do this to me!

She placed some kisses on my face. She wouldn't let me breathe.
"Hey, hey!" I was protesting and laughing at the same time. I loved it.

When Tiffany laid next to me, I remembered what had happened at work that morning.
"So, I didn't ask you. How was work today?" I was trying to imply something we both knew.
"Good." She said.
"Oh. Okay."
"I mean... it was way better after I ate you up."
"Oh my god." I started laughing and my cheeks turned red from embarrassment. "I couldn't fucking concentrate after this."
"Yeah. Me neither." She said and gave me a peck on the lips. "Goodnight, baby."

"Goodnight, Tiff."
"Don't call me that way..."
"We're not friends..." I mimicked her voice and closed my eyes. I felt asleep straight away.

My shift at the company started at 4 p.m. I was so lucky to have a free morning. To be honest, I did showed up at the court, but sat in one of the back seats, because I didn't really want my father to see me there. It's been a long time since the last time I saw him. His face war more wrinkled and old. After the charge that the jury gave him, I was so satisfied that there was nothing else to do here. I left the court, did some shopping and grabbed a coffee.

On my way home, I bumped into Yuri. Bad luck I guess.
"Oh, hey Taeyeon!" She pretended like nothing had happened between Hyoyeon and her.
"Don't hey me. I know everything."
I was so pissed off about her attitude, that didn't even stay there to talk to her. No need to after all. We used to be friends when she was in a relationship with my friend, but now I despised her so freaking much. I quickly texted Hyoyeon to inform her about my unfortunate meeting with her ex.

I went home with some groceries, I did some chores and even hired a gardener to take care of our front and back yard. The territory was so big, that I couldn't handle it all by myself, although I had some gardening experience from my mother's house. How I loved my new place though. I wanted to take care of it, because I was planning to spend all the future years of my life there. I was so tired from all this housework, that I had completely forgotten about work. Thankfully, the company's van honked outside the mansion. It was time I went to work.

I found Hoseok and Namjoon in the studio, working on some rap vocals. Man, they sounded so good, especially when they were rapping together. They practically looked like a couple. My imagination! They told me to come in and finished with their recording. It was about time we complete my sub-vocals. We were real quick.
"Do you remember, saying how insecure you were about your vocals?" Said Hoseok. "Man, listen to this. It's a miracle,  Taeyeon!"

I was blushing. I had to admit that the outcome was way better than I expected. My voice wasn't that bad after all.

"So..." Namjoon signed us to come near him. He had something to tell us. "I'm having a party at my place tonight. Nothing formal. Just a gathering for the company members."
"Yeah, nothing formal... although you've practically invited 200 people!"
Okay, that party sounded serious and I was really interested to attend it. That way, more artists would get to know me better and perhaps suggest me a collaboration withing the year.
"You can bring your girlfriend too." Said Namjoon.

I choked.
"M-my what?"
"Oh, my bad... I meant Tiffany. I thought you were an item."
"Oh my god, Namjoon, you made her blush." Hoseok started laughing.
"She's... just a friend." I lied. I had to actually.

"Okay, then. You can bring your... friend along." He rephrased his former sentence.

A company party would be great and a party with Tiffany would be even better, so why not. I couldn't wait to text her or, even better, tell her by the time she got home in the evening.

"11 p.m. at my place." He added.
"Okay, okay." I said and looked at Hoseok, who was already looking at me, still laughing with the misunderstood.

But it wasn't a misunderstood and I actually needed to play safe, in case I went to the party with Tiffany. Would she agree with me though, to tell people that we were just friends... that lived together?
