Jim's pov

'Why is the ground so cold' that was all I was thinking till I decided to open my eyes. To my shock I wasn't in the same place I was when I fell asleep I was in a white room with bars on one wall . The only thing that was inside the room was a pillow and a note which read.

We have taken you captive for experimentation on you
You will do as we say or that Claire nuniez will be your consequence
Once you've decided wether to coparaite (i know it's wrong) press the tile under your pillow

What did this person want from me I was unsure whether to trust them or not to. But if i didn't do what they say they might hurt Claire and I didn't want them to. I lifted my pillow and saw the padded tile was slightly more up that the rest.
I hesitated to press it but I did eventually.

"So you've made a decision I'm guessing" a man I think walked into the room with a large white trench coat and a mask on his face so I couldn't see who he was "well what is it?"

"Fine I will do as you ask..." even tho I really didn't want to I cannot bear with the thought that they have Claire

Even with the mask on I could tell he was smirking. He walked up to me and I crawled back eventually reaching the wall. He put a hand towards me as I began to growl. He rested it on my head and began... petting me?

"Good boy" he definitely was smiling now "now come on and follow me"

He led me down a couple hallways eventually reaching a new room oddly enough it looked sorta like a small lab "so..uh what do you want me for?"

"Well we wanted to know about your kind and stuff"

"You know that you can just ask"

"Yeh but we doubt that the other trolls or that man with the staff will let you"

"True.."

Wait why was I agreeing with him and saying that I will tell him about trolls . Something was definitely off about everything here.

"So shall we get started?"  I didn't want to talk so I just nodded

We did a number of tests similar to the ones you do in a doctors office

"How peculiar you seem to have a lot of similarities to human"

"Well duh I am half-hu" I cut myself off ,covering my mouth with my hands, because I didn't want anyone else to know

"Your half what?"

"Nothing sir.."

"Very well it seems that you don't trust me so that's fine"

I don't know why but for some reason that made me feel ok. After we were done with the tests he took me back to my room . Over night I was thinking on how was everyone here and back home. Did they miss me?

Claire pov

"Where is Jim has anyone seen him?" I was walking around the camp trying to find him

"Fair Claire, I'm sure master Jim is alright maybe he went to scout ahead" blinky was trying to calm me down clear as day he was failing

"No then merlin would have seen him but he didn't"

"Then maybe-"

"Just let me be..." I ran to mine and Jim's tent. I fell to my knees and began to tear up ' what is he needs me , what if he is in trouble,' a bunch of what if's clouded my mind but one stood out from the others 'what if he is hurt and I'm not there to help him '

Jim's pov

I looked at my claw

I got up to take a closer look outside of the window

"I don't wanna let go
I know I'm not that strong

I began to close my eyes and imagine Claire

Yeh I just wanna take you home"

The image of Claire began to disappear

"Hold on I still want you
Come back I still need you"

I began you tear up I missed Claire
