Kuroo Part 6

I walk down the empty path back to Shinzen. I couldn't sleep, so I decided to head to the convenience store and buy some water. Hopefully, I'll get some rest. As I pass the trees that lead to one of the gyms, I hear footsteps ahead.

'Who could be up this late?'

I turn the corner and saw Mizuki walking, her back facing me.

"Mizuki." I call out, getting her attention.

"Oh, Testurou...what are you doing here?"

"I couldn't sleep, so I took a walk. You?"

"I couldn't sleep either. I guess I'm a little nervous about tomorrow."

"Oh, right...Karasuno is coming." We walk together, only the sound of crickets and our footsteps being heard.

"By nervous," I imply, "do you mean telling them about us?"

"Of course," she sighs, "they're bound to tell us a lot of stuff that'll make them worry."

"That's true...but..." I turn to her.

"I don't intend to let anything, or anyone stop me," I smile, "Tokyo or Sendai...as long as we can keep in touch, I'm not letting you go that easily."

"Tetsurou..."

WHOOSH~

"Ngh!" Mizuki hugs herself.

"Cold?"

"Ehehe...a little."

"Here." I drape my jersey over her shoulders.

"Thank you." She puts her arms through the sleeves.

"The sleeves are too long."

"More like you're too short," I tease. She blushes while looking away. She really is adorable. I cup her chin, making her look up.

"T-Tetsurou..."

"...Mizuki..."

I lean forward, closing in.

"Kuroo!"

"Ah!" My eyes open, and I see Yaku and Kai looking down at me, my back flat on the floor.

"...Huh...?"

"Wake up, already. Everyone's heading down for breakfast." I slowly get up and look at my hand.

"...It was...a dream...?"

"...What's wrong?"

'No way...' I clench my shaking hand.

"AAHHH~!!/K-Kuroo!?!"

'I can't believe it...' I groan to myself. The team and I were walking to the front of the school to meet Karasuno. But I was too distraught on the fact that everything that happened was a dream. What's worse...

'I woke up before the best part!' I internally whine. Still, I had no idea why I dreamt that.

After meeting up, we went to the gym where everyone was practicing. Greeting us by the door was Mizuki.
