"If you give Lana the cookie her focus won't be to torment you and push Ben closer to Zoe. Her main focus would be her lover."
"That actually makes sense," Evie boasted, "Who would be her lover?"
"I nominate Carlos."
We all looked over at Jay. He had a small smirk on his face. "What? Think about it. Carlos has the hots for the princess and she's kind of returning the favor so makes sense."
Mal rolled her eyes. "As much as it hurts me to say this but Jay is right. She's taken a liking to you."
My heart skipped a beat. This was going better than I thought it would. Mal got up from her be to grab her spell book.
"Come on, we have to make these cookies today. I'm not taking any chances. We only have two days until Ben's coronation and anything could happen."
The three of us followed behind Mal. Last time we went to the kitchen it was late at night, but I had no idea how we were going to get into the kitchen when it's still daylight. People were still scared of us. They looked away as we walked past them.
"Isn't that Lana over there?" Evie pointed out.
Sure enough it was her. She was sitting in the courtyard with a girl. That was until some guy approached them both. He was making them laugh. But, he had his eyes locked on Lana as she continued to write in her notebook.
"I know him. That's Queen Merida's son, Markus. He's in my first period class."
"Cute." Mal said as we continued to walk in the opposite direction of where they were.
"Isn't he?"
I rolled my eyes at their comments. Jay noticed and nudged me. "Relax."
How could I? That oversized tool was flirting with Lana. But, it seemed like she was paying him no mind. I could be wrong. I barely even know this girl yet I'm getting upset over the most littlest of things. I continued to follow my friends to the kitchen, but Mal stopped us.
"We all can't go in there together. There's still staff in the kitchen. I'll be lucky enough if I could get in bake these cookies get out without being seen."
"What do you want us to do?" Evie asked.
"Just wait here for me." With that being said Mal walked off.
Evie spotted Doug sitting further away by himself and she perked up. "I'll just be over there."
She hurried off to catch up to Doug.
"I don't think we can do that. I completely forget we have tourney field practice in an hour." Jay complained.
I didn't realize what time it was, but Jay and I had to hurry to the locker room to get changed. I sprinted after him and watched as he lifted himself up on to the picnic table that Lana and her friend was sitting at. I realized it was Grace. Since when did that become friends? Jay almost nearly took Markus' head off flipping over him.
I on the other hand decided to be simple and just ran past the picnic table. I didn't bother to speak because I didn't have time. But when I ran past I did see that Lana was shaken up a bit by Jay's sudden entrance. I was able to take a quick glimpse back to see Markus back flat on the ground. Both Lana and Grace went to his aid. I rolled my eyes.
Nice going Jay. We did make it to the locker room in just enough time to change for practice. The other guys on the team were all here nearly dressed. Ben was talking to Chad before he noticed us rushing in.
"There you guys are. I was starting to get worried." He joked.
Chad on the other hand ignored our presence and left to go talk to some of the other guys on the team. Ben sighed before closing his locker.
"He'll warm up to you guys eventually. I promise."
"Whatever man. Let's just get ready before coach starts yelling" Jay said going straight to his locker.
We were all quick to change and head onto the tourney field. It was the usual practice, nothing special about it. I was distracted anyways. Too busy thinking about Lana.
Hopefully Mal is able to make those cookies.

Dylan sat up in his temporary bed finally awakening from his episode that had occurred yesterday. His head was still hurting, but it was nothing compared to before. He had no idea what could've triggered it.
Every-time there was an episode, something always triggered it. He had no idea what it could've been this time. He hasn't notice Zoe asleep in the chair next to his bed. Assuming she didn't tell their younger siblings which was a good thing because they need them worrying.
That or they came to visit while he was still asleep. Dylan didn't know what to think. He was scared that it would happen again. He didn't know who's voice that was in his head and he didn't know what the voice was trying to tell him, but he hoped it never happened again.
