I'd always thought Annabeth was really pretty, and with the stories I'd heard from Luke and her skill while I'd watched her on her quest (that sounds stalkerish), I felt I would really like her if I got to know her better.

I was shaken out of my thoughts when Luke slapped me on the back of the head, "Pay attention, Percy."

He smiled at me, then turned to the guards holding the half-bloods, "Let's take our guests to the guest room. Come along, Percy!"

I had become Luke's second in command. He was 20, and I was 13, but somehow, we had a good friendship. He liked to joke around, but he also knew how to help me out. I figured he must've had past experience with younger kids, because he was always a friendly face.

Well, not always... But that's a story for another time.

I followed the group up the stairs. I thought we were the luckiest evil dudes in the world, we had five people from the other side in our custody!

So naturally, that's when everything went wrong.

Beckendorf turned around and punched his cyclops guard in the nose, which sent the monster stumbling back. In the distraction, Annabeth grabbed her knife and went for Luke, who drew his sword, Backbiter, and began fighting.

The other dude drew a spear and ran towards me.

Later, I would learn he was a son of Ares, David Smith.

I barely had time to draw my sword when he attacked.

Luke had gotten some cyclops to make me a sword the year before. It was about 3 feet long, made of celestial bronze and steel, half and half. Just like his. When he asked me what I wanted to name the sword, I said Current, like an ocean current. For some reason, the name and sword both seemed right, yet wrong at the same time.

The Ares kid looked to be about 15, two years older than me. I'd heard Ares kids were good fighters, and I had only been working for a year.

But I trained with Luke, and Luke never quit.

Somehow, I was able to keep up with the Ares kid. Maybe it was because we were on a boat in the ocean, or because of all my training.

But the battle was one-sided, Beckendorf and Grover were grabbed by some dracane and when I looked over at Luke and Annabeth, he was his sword against her throat.

"I win again, Annabeth. You have gotten pretty good with the knife though, I'll give you that."

Annabeth tried to say something back, but his sword went closer to her neck and her voice gave out. I noticed tears in her eyes.

One of Luke's sayings was, "Don't let yourself get distracted in battle, it could mean the end for you or your partners."

And those were the words running through my mind when a sword handle slammed into my forehead.

I cursed and heard Luke do the same. He handed Annabeth to some other monster and quickly disarmed the Ares kid and grabbed him.

Luke sheathed his sword and handed off the Ares kid before helping me up and returning my sword.

"Don't get distracted, remember?" Luke scolded, lightly slapping the back of my head again. "You're gonna have a nice bruise now."

He turned back to the group, but before he could speak, a paintball hit him in the stomach.

He fell back, cursing.

I grabbed my sword and watched in amazement as a horde of centaurs swooped down. Some wore strange shirts, hats, or glasses. Most had paintball guns or some other weird weapons.

Luke pulled me out of the way as a rubber arrow zoomed past me.

He went to go fight, but another paintball knocked him down again.

I went to make sure he was alright since I didn't know a good way to fight these guys without getting paintballed or trampled, and it seemed like the right thing to do since I'm a nice person.

Luke got up, still cursing, only to find that all but one centaur was gone.

I followed his gaze and saw the face of Mr. Brunner staring at me. I had been told he was actually Chiron, but I didn't believe it until I saw him.

He looked directly at me, "So it is true. Our suspicions were correct. Alas, Percy, I believe you will make the right choice when the time comes." He gave me a small smile, then before I could react, he was gone.

I don't wanna rewrite all 5 books, so I'm gonna use the main points from the Sea of Monsters and the Titan's Curse, one chapter each book. Battle of the Labrynith will have 2 or 3 chapters, and the book will end on the Last Olympian with an epilouge.

And does anyone else feel like they would really like Luke as a character if he wasn't the evil creepy dude?
