Hello and welcome to my entry for Margaret Atwood's Freeze-Dried Fiction Contest.
Here's how the competition works: Margaret Atwood posted a short piece on her Wattpad profile: The Freeze-Dried Groom, one of nine stories from her newest collection, Stone Mattress. She then asked participants to write a fan-fiction based on her story. She'll select a winner in November.
You can read my entry now, but I'd recommend clicking on that external link over on the side to read The Freeze-Dried Groom first. I've interwoven my story with her own and while you can read mine as a stand-alone, your experience will be richer if you read them both (preferably Atwood's first since this work is derived from it).
Thank you for reading!
This is a Margaret Atwood fan-fiction and therefore, the characters are her intellectual property.
