He opened the door.

And there was hazel. But she wasn't alone.

In hazels arms was a little boy, maybe 17 months old, and he was snuggled up in hazels arm and chewing on an animal cracker.

Cal stared at the baby and stared at hazel.

"Hi..." hazel smiled awkwardly.

"Hey...." Calum took a deep breath

"Can we come in??" He nodded and stepped out of the way. Hazel walked inside with her little boy and set him down.

"I...I was expecting just you..."

"I couldn't find a sitter." She looked at her little boy and cal nodded.

The little boy whispered to hazel, "fursy" and she turned to Calum.

"Would you happen to have any juice or anything??" Cal shook his head. "Okay...come on baby I'll get you some water." Hazel and the little boy walked into the kitchen and she set him on the counter where he proceeded to pick up a glass cup that was too big and dropped it on the floor causing it to shatter.

Hazel gasped. "I am so sorry!!"

Cal took a deep breath and pinched his nose.

"Maybe he shouldn't be in the kitchen..."

She nodded and took her child to the living room and set him down while cal swept up the glass shards. Hazel came back and apologized over and over again. Calum sighed. What the hell was happening right now?

"Maybe we can just met up tomorrow..." hazel said sadly and cal shook his head.

"Just sit down for a bit."

They all sat down and hazel put some tv shows on her phone for the baby, who Calum soon leaned, was named Issac. It was an awkward few moment of silence, neither of them knowing what to say. Cal wanted to ask about the kid. When he popped up? Who was his father? How the FUCK did she have a baby anyway? Maybe he was adopted?

"You know what let's just meet tomorrow."

They agreed to meet up at a cafe tomorrow. Hazel picked Isaac up and the little black haired baby waved at cal

"Bye bye!" Cal waved awkwardly. Hazel went and put Isaac in the car and then came back to Calum and grabbed his hand.

"It was nice to see you. Sorry about Issac.."

"Sorry for what?"

"Him breaking your glass...and making things awkward." She sighed. "He's...He's yours s-so I should have known it would be awkward..."

Cal paused. "He's not....he's not mine hazel. There's no way..."

"He is yours! He's one and a half and it's been over two years so yeah Calum, do the math."

"Well no because I'm thinking that if the girl I dated for 12 years ended up pregnant with MY kid I would have at least gotten a text about it!"

"Everyone tried to call you but you were completely off your face and told us all to "leave you alone" and then I've tried multiple times to call you but i guess you must have changed your number because they all went to voicemail!"

Calum sighed. "Just...I'll see you tomorrow."

"See. You don't even care so what does it matter." She walked back to her car, got in it, and drove away while Issac waved to Calum from the window until they were out of sight. Calum couldn't think of anything else to do so he called his mother. She was all he had left since none of his "friends" even talked to him anymore.

"Mom..."

"Hey cally boy. What's the matter? It's very late." Her voice was calming

"Yeah...but there's just a lot going on and I don't feel like being the only voice in my head..."

"What's going on baby? You can tell me anything."

They talked for a bit, joys words calming Calum down enough so that he could go to bed. Yes he still tossed and turned all night and dreamed of the things he had lost control of. Not that he wished to control everything in life, he knew it didn't work that way, but still...when nothing in your life is going in your favor, weather or not you understand that life isn't fair, it still begins to feel like crap.
