And just like that, Deceit disappeared soon on cue. The door knocked, yet no response. Another knock.

It got louder.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Yet, still no response.

"Patton? Are you feeling alright in there? Please allow me in," Logan. "I dislike the thought of leaving you alone, please let me in."

Patton slowly shuffled away from the door as he heard the door handle being shaken. Once it was pulled down successfully, Logan hurried on inside before looking down at Patton. His eyes were red and puffy, as were his cheeks. He was paler then usual, his whole body shook as though he had just seen a ghost.

"Dear Newton- What on earth happened?" Logan knelt down to the distressed other, hands on his shoulders while trying to find a way to stabilise him. Patton couldn't find the words to answer that, as much as he wanted to. It felt as though he was forced to be silent. After all, anything that wasn't supposed to be known - silence was always the answer. Soon enough, Virgil and Roman were at the door, watching as Logan was close to Patton. Virgil cursed to himself as he fled down onto his knees, sitting beside Patton.

"Holy f- Patton, listen to me." His tempest tongue got into action, trying to get himself to be heard. "I need you to follow my orders, alright? Breath in for 4 seconds.." Patton looked at Virgil, his bottom lip quivering with all lost of hope in his eyes. "You can do this.. In for 4.." And with the encouragement from him, Morality began to follow the instructions cautiously. "That's good.. Hold for 7 seconds." Patton followed the instructions again. "Breath out for 8 seconds. You're doing a good job, just keep going. Repeat it until you feel calm."

It took Patton several minutes to adjust to the breathing technique, as well as processing what had happened with Deceit. Was he just supposed to tell them? He didn't know what to do.

"Logan. Check on Thomas. Roman, you too. I'll remain with Patton until he calms." Virgil mentioned and Logan exhaled. "What if Thomas went through the same state as Patton? Wouldn't he require your assistance? I believe you delivering the technique would be more affective. Yes?" He added, looking over towards the two sides close to one another.

Virgil let out an irritated hiss. Logan was right. If anybody had to find a way to relax Thomas if he was becoming affected by Patton's instant freakout, it was him. His Anxiety.

"Fine. But you don't leave his side," Virgil growled out, looking over as Patton looked to him. "You're gonna be okay, Dad.." He whispered, before standing up. Logan instantly knelt down to where Virgil previously was, watching as Patton tucked his head under his arms and leaning his face onto his shoulder.

It pained Virgil to leave him like this, but he knew Logan was stable to keep Patton at bay. To calm down. To feel safe. The embodiment of Anxiety soon sank down, leaving the two alone. Roman was still outside, guarding the door in case anybody unwanted was to show up.

"Patton- It's acquired that you take steady breaths. Can you do that for me?" Logan asked, keeping the Moral side close to him in his arms. Although he wasn't one for dealing with emotions, he would've pushed past that to support his friends.

His best friends.

Patton could only nod as he closed his eyes tight, trying to breathe. "You're alright," Logan spoke up a second time. "You're going to be perfectly adequate."

That's what you think.

"Everything shall be okay shortly."

No it won't.

Patton sobbed onto Logan's shoulder as the Logical side could feel himself feeling more concerned then on average. "What's bothering you..?"

"I-I'm sorry.." The Moral side muffled out in sobs, clinging to the others' shirt tightly while using a free hand to wipe his tears.

"Sorry? You don't need to apologise for anything, Pat. What's got you so troubled?"

Deep breaths. That was all he had to remember right? How was he supposed to tell the others about Deceit? Was he even supposed to?

Patton pulled away from the hug before looking at him, just shaking his head.

"N-No reason.. I-I just want to sleep.." He mumbled, and Logan nodded instantly. "Of course," He stood up, helping the other before guiding him to the bed. Patton stumbled into his bed and under the sheets, and with Logan there waiting for any dramatic or nightmare-based scenario. Soon enough, he just closed his eyes.

And slept.

There was no way he was able to tell them.
Right?
