Chapter 61

I look at Shawn to see him still holding my hand and crying. "Shawn, look at me." I pull his chin up. "I love you." I smile big saying this. "I love you too." We kiss each other before standing up.

That's when I notice the sky. "Oh my god! Look how beautiful the sunrise is!" I exclaim before taking in every detail of the setting right now... the fairy lights, rose petals, everything.

"The only difference is you're far more beautiful than all the sunrises in the world." Shawn says before holding me in his arms as we watch the sunrise.

Once it's finished I look at him. "What should we do now that we're engaged?" Shawn thinks for a second before replying. "We could go get into some normal clothes and visit my parents to show them?" He looks at me with an eyebrow raised. I nod vigorously before running to the door. I run all the way back to the hotel room while Shawn follows.

"Oh yeah! Pack up! We're going back to my apartment." Shawn exclaims as I go to the bathroom to change. "Can you pack up my stuff for me please?" I ask and Shawn nods.

I put on some high waisted shorts and a orange bandeau. I decide to leave my makeup. I slip my filas back on and grab all my toiletries. I open the door to two packed suitcases. I put my dress and toiletries in my suitcase and zip it back up.

I grab my car keys and toss them at Shawn when he walks in the door. "Let's go get your Jeep from my apartment." I say and he nods.

We finally arrive at his parents house. Aaliyah comes running out and hugs me, I almost fall over. "Oh my god please never leave Shawn again, Camila was horrendous." Aaliyah exclaims before letting go of me. "You won't have to worry about that." Shawn smirks before we walk in. I put my hands back in my pockets to hide the ring.

Once we walk in we follow Aaliyah to the kitchen where Shawn's parents are. "Mom, Dad, Aaliyah I need you guys to come into the living room with Lacey and me... there's something important we need to tell you." Shawn makes it sound like we're going to die. "Oh my god is something wrong?" Karen asks as we all walk to the living room. "You'll find out." I wink at her and she looks taken a back but then laughs.

Once Manuel, Karen, and Aaliyah are sitting down Shawn looks at them. "We're engaged." Shawn and I blurt at the same time. His family sits there staring, words lost. Then Karen starts to cry and gets up and hugs me. "I'm so happy for you both!" Karen says as Aaliyah screams and jumps around. "Welcome to the family." Manuel smiles and hugs us both.

"Can I see the ring?" Aaliyah asks. I show her my hand and her and Karen gawk at the ring. "Oh my god! Shawn that's beautiful!" Karen hugs her son.

Shawn has the biggest smile on his face as his family gives him a group hug.

I can't wait to be apart of that entirely.

"Well I think Lacey and I are going to head back to my apartment now." Shawn sighs as he hugs his mom and kisses her cheek. "I love you mom and dad. Love you Aaliyah." Shawn hugs Aaliyah and he leads me towards the door.

Once were in the car and get the urge to happy scream so I do. "What was that for?" Shawn chuckles. "I'm just so excited." I hold his hand in mine as he drives us to his apartment.

"Finally home!" Shawn yells as we enter his apartment. We set our luggage by the door and go into his living room and crash on the couch.

"Tomorrow we need to tell my family. I'll ask my dad to get all my siblings together at their house. I'll text my mom and aunt Lisa to meet up somewhere with Caleb and Macy." I pull out my phone and start texting everyone.
