Harry frowned slightly, but as soon as it appeared, it vanished again. "I cleared my schedule for the day, I shouldn't be bothered as of right now," he answered shortly. It's true, I heard him tell Chelsea to cancel all his appointments and whatnot for the day.

The boy, on the other hand, didn't accept a "no" for an answer. "I understand, Mr Styles, but this is a very important business deal. The company shouldn't take this offer lightly. If no one shows up to this meeting, one that's held in our own company, it only shows disinterest and makes it seem like we're unprofessional. I'm sorry about your plans, sir, but it's the only way, I'm afraid."

My eyes wandered back to Harry. His facial expression was unreadable, but I knew just from what I've witnessed before, that he wasn't in the mood for unexpected meetings. To my surprise, he didn't lash out on the poor guy. Instead, he licked his lips and nodded to himself. "Fair enough then. Let them know I'm on my way and see if you can find Alexander somewhere. I'm not signing anything without his approval."

The brunette boy scribbled something down on his notebook and nodded in thought before looking back up at Harry. Then his eyes flickered between us suggestively. "Eden," Harry's deep voice suddenly bounced off the walls. "you can go now."

Eden turned his attention to me once more before he hummed and turned around. "Have a nice day, Mr Styles," he spoke while walking out of the door, purposely leaving the door open.

Lord, that guy gave me the chills.

Harry cleared his throat, catching my attention once again. "I apologise for his behaviour. He has quite a mouth on him, that one."

I wanted to object, stating that he shouldn't apologise for someone else's actions, but I left it at a simple nod, not in the mood to cause even more havoc.

Harry seemed to be in a mental war with himself as he tippity-tapped his fingers on the wooden desk. He looked conflicted, probably debating whether or not to kick me out of his office and attend his meeting like he was obliged to do. After another minute of silence, I signed and took a step backwards, reaching for the door. "You should attend your meeting, don't you think?"

The man looked up at me, his face unreadable like I expected. He took in a small breath and stood up. "I would apologise if the situation were to be in my hands, but these are my office hours, so I should technically be available for any type of work-related activities."

An adoring smile spread itself over my face before I could stop myself. "Harry, I understand. You have to work. Now go, they need you."

I didn't receive a smile back, but he simply nodded and walked around his desk to meet me at the door. Once he closed the glass door he didn't spare me another glance as he was presumably already on his way to his meeting.

Instead of dwelling on the fact Harry was back to his cold self, I just rolled my eyes and made it my mission to find the exit in this place.

When I reached the ground floor my eyes travelled over to Chelsea who was slowly nibbling on her chocolate chip cookie. I couldn't help but remember how Harry had to throw away his sandwich because it was completely crushed to death. I'm not one to take the blame for things I couldn't have helped either way, but I did feel kind of bad for him.

Leave it, Niall. It's none of your business. My subconscious self whispered in my head.

"Bye Chels!" I spoke after I made my decision. She waved goodbye as her mouth was still full of cookie crumbles.

Just as I was about to leave the building, my guilt got the better of me and made me halt my actions. I sighed deeply when I realised why I couldn't leave. "Fine, let's do it your way then," I whispered to myself before turning back around and saunter over to Chelsea's desk. She looked confused and surprised to see me yet again after I had said my goodbyes just moments ago. "Could you do me a favour and maybe check when Harry's meeting would be over?" Chelsea raised a brow but typed away on her keyboard anyways.

She looked back up at me with the same suspicious expression on her face. "Mr Styles should be done shortly. 10 minutes, give or take. May I ask why?"

I just shrugged and smiled brightly. "No reason. Just curious." She didn't seem to believe me, but honestly, I wouldn't if I were her either. "Thanks, Chels, I'll be back in a few minutes."

Not giving her any more details, I made my way over to the staircase and up the two flights of stairs leading to the second floor of the building. When I arrived at the cafeteria a second time that day, I immediately went up to the lunch lady and grinned. She looked perplexed. Her eyes scanned me once over in thought. She was probably trying to figure out whether she had seen me here before or not. When she snapped out of her little daydream, she greeted me with a welcoming smile. "Well, hello there. What can I get for you, dear?"

"This is going to sound bizarre, but could you perhaps give me Harry Styles favourite sandwich?" I expected her to look at me with disgust in her eyes, thinking I was some freakish stalker who wanted everything Harry liked and whatnot. Instead, I was met with a warm grin and kind eyes.

"Of course you can, hon. You see, Mr Styles likes a good tuna sandwich with a nice cup of mint tea. Sometimes he changes it up a bit and takes a green tea, but that's usually during the winter," she explained. I simply nodded my head and watched her grab the ingredients for a tuna sandwich. "Is he overworking himself again? This job will be the death of him someday. Let me tell you that," she chuckled whilst pointing her knife at me.

The smile that I had been wearing proudly on my face the entire time fell, as I came to realise how much Harry does for this company. I couldn't understand why anyone would ever skip meals in order to get more work done. I couldn't even focus if I skipped one meal, so imagine what Harry goes through every time something comes up during his lunch break.

"So a tuna sandwich and a mint tea, would that be all?" I snapped back out of my little trance and nodded. "Here you go, love. Don't bother paying, that boy has done more for me in the past year than a sandwich and a drink could ever be worth. Now go bring it to your sweetheart before the tea gets cold. That would be a shame, wouldn't it?" she beamed at me before turning back around to clean up the mess on the counter.

I wanted to correct her as she clearly assumed that Harry and I were an item, but she wouldn't even turn back around to face me. "Thank you," I spoke even though I knew she wouldn't hear me anyway.

I quickly made my way back downstairs and up to Chelsea's desk. She raised her brow once again but didn't ask me about my strange behaviour. "Would you be so kind to give this to Harry when the meeting is over and tell Alexander that I needed to be somewhere and couldn't attend our usual lunch date?"

"Why can't you give this yourself?" she wondered.

My eyes travelled from hers back to the tray I had carefully placed on her workstation. "I can't. I have to be somewhere. I'm just asking you for one favour. Please, Chels?" She rolled her eyes and let out a deep breath before nodding softly. "You're the best! Thank you so much."

An unwilling smile edged its way onto her face. "You're welcome. Do you want me to leave a message?"

I quickly shook my head 'no' and took a step closer to her. "Just tell him it's because he couldn't have his lunch as he planned on having and that you felt bad."

"Wait, you want me to tell him this is from me? Mr Horan, I'm just the secretary. He'll find it even more suspicious if I tell him I had the urge to pay for his food for some odd reason. Don't you think he'll appreciate it if he knew it came from you? You seem to get along just fine."

I sighed and stared at my shoes before looking back up at her. "Just give it to him, please. You could even ask someone else to bring it up to him, I don't care. I just thought he deserved a nutritious meal and a hot beverage. Nothing more, nothing less."

Chelsea closed her eyes and breathed in deeply before letting it all out again. "Fine. I'll give it to him without mentioning your name, although I still don't understand why."

"Thank you, Chels! You're a doll. I'll be seeing you soon!" and with that, I turned around and left the building.

Even though this was one hell of a strange day, I couldn't refrain from feeling relieved. At least I did something good today.

Harry wasn't so bad.

He wasn't bad at all.
