"Has anyone seen the movie yet? How was it? What did you guys think about it?" Jimmy threw the question again to the audience, and there was a mixture of 'yes', 'no', 'tear-jerking' and 'amazing'. Amara smiled gratefully and bowed her head, her hand pressed over her heart, showing her appreciation to those who had already seen her work.
"Well, I thought it was very well written. The story and the chemistry between you and Dacre was magnificent. Cate's acting was powerful and Fawad, who's new, made an amazing debut if I do say so myself. I think it's a must-watch for everyone, of all ages!"
"Thank you, Jimmy, you guys honestly have no idea how much I appreciate the love we're getting right now. I for one am in love with the whole idea of love, and especially love without boundaries and I felt like Whirlwind has pictured that beautifully. I'm just really grateful to have been a part of it." she replied, sincerely thankful for Jimmy's positive critique.
"So you'll be doing press for a month now, is that it? Then you'll be taking a break, from what I've heard. What will you be doing after?"
"Yes, press junkets for a month, just in the US, and then a long break from work, thank god. Not that I'm complaining about work, I love my job but this girl needs to travel. My friends and I, you know them, Talia, Grace and Luca, we have this customary annual trip, where we travel back home to visit our families."
"That is so cool. And you guys do this every year, together?"
"Yes, every year. We go back to Talia's hometown in Oakland where we visit her brother, then to Luca's grandparents' in Italy and Grace's grandmother's in the Philippines. After that, we head to India for my sister's wedding."
"Yeah congratulations to your sister and her fiance, we just had them here 2 weeks ago before they left for their 'pre-wedding vacation' to Paris, as they said! But wow, that sounds like a fun annual trip. Any chance I could you know join you guys? I don't mind being that unnecessary 5th wheel, so to speak." Amara giggled at the thought of Jimmy following her and her friends around, like a lost puppy but eventually agreed to him coming along.
"Alright so before I let you go, we're going to be playing a game." Jimmy announced.
"Oh no, I don't want to do this. The last time I played a game here, I accidentally admitted my crush for Dylan O'Brien. Dude would not stop teasing me about it on set since at the time I was working with him on Teen Wolf! I kept blushing and he kept laughing, it was not fun at all." Amara gushed, covering half of her face in embarrassment. The audience broke out in laughter at the girl. Jimmy tried convincing her that none of that would happen this time but he continued to laugh at the memory of Amara trying to hide her body behind her chair when she admitted her feelings.
"I'm sorry but we have to do this! Now we're going to play 'Think Fast!' and here's how it works, we're gonna take turns drawing one of these cards. Each card has 3 totally random questions on it. One person asks the question and the other person has to answer each question, as soon as it's asked and I mean immediately. It doesn't matter if the answer is right or wrong, it just has to be the very first thing that pops in your head." Amara could only nod her head with terror in her eyes.
"So I will read your questions first. Ready for this? Can we get a little lighting change here?" Jimmy asked as the lighting in the studio dimmed a little and focused only on him and Amara.
"I really can't say no, can I?" Amara jested back, silently hoping she could skip the game and head to In 'N' Out.
"No, you can't! Alright, so first question: If you could lock someone up in a mental institution, who would be?"
"Myself." At the first question answered, Jimmy and Amara already found it hard to control their laughter, before moving on to the next one.
"What facial feature attracts you the most?"
"Hands!"
"Hands?!" Jimmy questioned, while Amara contorted her face to one of confusion and realization of how stupid she sounded. She was laughing even harder than she did before and could only move with her hands to tell Jimmy to proceed to the next question.
"How many pennies would fill up this studio?"
"27 uh..bazillion! Okay, now your turn. Who did you invite to your party?"
"Steve Rogers!"
"Why did they kick you out of the airport?"
"Because I peed my pants!"
"Who can you always trust?!"
"Not the Russo brothers definitely." And with that Amara once again, burst out laughing with Jimmy repeatedly hitting his hand on his desk.
"Alright, last round, we'll both take turns asking each other 2 questions, same rules apply. Amara, are you ready? You start the questions first" the Indian girl who was still suppressing her laughter only managed to give Jimmy a thumbs up.
"How fast are trains?"
"Fast enough! What's up with Gary?"
"He's always high on weed! Why are rainbows so magical?"
"Because that's where unicorns live! Who has pretty green eyes?"
"Timothée Chalamet!" Amara shrieked as soon as she answered, covering her face with the cards she held. The crowd taunted her while Jimmy sat smugly in his chair.
"Timothée Chalamet does have pretty green eyes." he responded. Amara just nodded cooly, trying her best to brush off the fact that she was thinking about Timmy's green eyes.
"Right, he does, ah god. You always get lost in them. Majestic. Majestic green eyes. I really should shut up now. This is why I didn't want to play. " she rambled. Jimmy went ahead to close up the interview and prompted for a commercial break as asked, which left Amara, waving goodbye to the cameras and the studio, with a blush to her cheeks and a silly smile on her face.
"God, please don't let him watch this interview." she prayed to herself.
A/N: literally no one would deny that timmy does in fact have the prettiest green eyes! also his hands are my aesthetic omfg.
