Mj slammed the trunk shut giving Katie a look of suspicion and impatience. Clearly sending a message that Katie needs to say her goodbye and get in the car.
The teen only smiled sheepishly and went inside the car. Reaching to take her muffs off her neck, she shivered as a cold breeze swept its way into the car, and wiped her nose. "Why is the window down?" She signed once her aunt came into the car, strapping herself in. "It's cold and my nose is already running." She sniffed eyeing her aunt.
Mj grins, getting the keys from her winter coat and twisting them into the keyhole as she actuates the car. "Good. Cause we're going to Aunt May's house so you can spend the weekend there." She said, not even bothering to sign her words. Katie smiles knowing exactly the outcome of this weekend.

If Katie had a word for her extended family on her father's side, especially the family her aunt joined a few years ago, it would be weird, fun and colourful. There were no other words she could think of when she stepped onto the front porch of her other aunt's house. The last time she was here the front yard was surrounded by Spiderman toys and lovely flowers obviously for Peter.
She blew a stray hair that came in her face as she furrowed her brows in frustration. She knows the frustration isn't hers, hell no. She feels excited and sorta nervous spending time with her other aunt again for the weekend.
She knows it is her other half. Her soulmate--and she's already gotten used to it, them sharing their feelings like a big tidal wave crashing against the rocks towards her.
Mj pressed the doorbell as Katie stood beside her pouting slightly and waiting. Mj glanced at Katie, her blue eyes dark in the night. "Kaitlyn, try to be easy on May and give her a break from your strange attitude. You've been acting weird since-" she paused, and Katie knew where this was going-
Peter's death. Also, the first encounter she felt with her soulmate. Making her almost relive the strange bite on her hand and the painful migraine. Concussion? Or maybe it was a banging headache from studying so hard and pushing herself over her limits.
No. Katie was used to pulling all-nighters, she knew how to handle those headaches. But the one she got that day where she fell and cried out in pain, tasting blood in the back of her mouth and biting her lip to suppress the urge to vomit.
It felt like someone grabbed her head and smashed it hard into the concrete, maybe using their fist to pound instead of grabbing.
The teenager pursed her lips. But her aunt wouldn't understand that, she didn't know her soulmate was Peter till high school, yet, at the time Peter knew how to handle his injuries and keep a low cover, having Mj tend to his injuries sometimes during their study time.
This Spiderman, from watching the news and a few youtube videos after school, him being hit by a drone in the jaw her absolute favourite video, apparently doesn't know what he's doing. It's clear he's a rookie and he's fresh in crime fighting.
But Spiderman wasn't Katie's soulmate. She's not that lucky.
Mj puts a hand on her shoulder, grasping it gently and snapping her out of her thoughts. "At least try for Peter-" she starts but the girl lets out a groan pushing her aunt's hand away and glanced at her aunt with an exasperated frown.
