"Do you hear someone? Downstairs?"
"No.." I said, pushing him to continue what I'd started.
What felt like seconds after our lips reconnected, his door swung open.
"Don I came home to check- what the HELL?!"
It was his mother.
I quickly sat up, scooting away from Adonis.
"Oh- mom..Farrah came over for homework." He said, choking on his words.
"Homework? With your shirt off? In your bed?!"
"Ma'am I-"
"I don't wanna hear it! My son has been through some horrible things, and you trying to seduce him is sick and disgusting!"
"Mom she didn't-"
"I finally let you have a girlfriend and this is what you do? I knew I shouldn't have let you date this fast little girl!"

My mom continued to yell over the phone at Farrah's mother— meanwhile Farrah and I sat uncomfortably waiting on the couch.
My mom wasn't supposed to be home for hours, and I felt horrible about Farrah getting in trouble.
Now we were here, awaiting the awkward parent meeting my mother insisted on having.
What if this ruins everything? I know my mom is gonna be more strict than ever, Farrah's mom probably will be too.
As my panic settled in, Farrah grabbed my hand.
"A-aren't you scared?" I asked her in a whisper.
"Why be afraid Don? Whatever happens, it's not gonna stop me from caring about you, it's not gonna stop me from talking to you, it's not gonna stop me from seeing you, it's not gonna stop me from fucki-"
"Shh. Farrah."
"I'm just saying. Our moms are gonna do their worst, sure. But we're gonna figure it out. We always do, right?"
"Yeah..w-we do."
"Breathe Adonis. We're fine...whatever your mom does, you're gonna be fine."

Almost an hour passed, and Farrah's parents arrived. This'd be the first time meeting her father and this first impression was...less than desirable.
"Shit." Farrah whispered, as she noticed her father walk in with her mother.
After some awkward formalities, our parents sat down on the couch across from Farrah and I.
"So..would anyone like to explain what happened?" My mom said, leading the conversation.
I was so nervous I felt ill— so I kept quiet. Farrah must've predicted this, because with no hesitation she spoke up.
