"Walang ibang nakatira dito." Rodrigo added with a soft voice seeming not to want anyone to hear it.

Leni suddenly recalled Berna's reasons of why she doesn't like the house. Shivers traveled across her spine as it sank to her that what she saw wasn't actually real.

She went down to the floor again and sandwiched herself between Rodrigo and Delfin. They all chuckled upon witnessing her fear to lighten up the mood.

"Biro lang!" They all laughed louder. "Si Tess yung house helper dito. Tagal na yan siya nagmamanage nitong bahay lalo na kapag wala namang tao dito. Yan siya yung nagbabantay." He denoted.

Leni glared at Rodrigo and punched his arm playfully. "Ikaw! Nanakot!"

Despite that it was a joke, Leni began to feel bothered by the house and the surroundings specially that it was already seven in the evening.

After about and hour, they all finally accomplished their task. "Pano? Uwi na tayo?"

"Oo sige. Kanina pa ako antok na antok, babagsak na tong mata ko." Rodrigo replied.

"Pa-CR muna ako," Delfin requested. "Ako rin mag-CR." Leni followed and pulled Rodrigo with her.

"Samahan mo ako." She stipulated.

He laughed because he knew she was scared. "Sige na. Takot ka lang eh."

"Hindi noh. Kayo kase nanakot eh!" She refuted.

She clung into his arms and tried not to pay attention to the surroundings as they went to the second floor's comfort room.

"Diyan ka lang ha!" She instructed him before entering the bathroom.

"Oo," he replied and stood outside.

His phone suddenly rang, it was his mother calling. "Hello ma?" He picked up.

Her mother instructed him to manage the papers for selling the house soon but the signal seemed to be making their call choppy. He walked along the aisle to find some good signal reception and settled nearby the window at the other corner of the hallway.

Leni went out and washed her hands on the sink located outside just beside the comfort room's door. Rodrigo passed by her whilst holding his phone on his ear.

She just looked at him and stood in front of the sink waiting for him to finish speaking to someone over the phone. She crossed her arms, he seemed to be serious as he listened to the person on the other line, his face was blank and he wasn't speaking, she didn't know if there was a problem.

As she was about to approach him, he entered a room. "Uy!"

She called him but he seemed not to hear her as he held his phone on his ear. She didn't want him to leave her alone on the aisle. She followed him to the room.

She twisted the doorknob slowly not wanting to interrupt his phone call when suddenly someone called her.

"Uy," he called her attention.

She turned to him in shock. Her chest pounded loudly as he saw Rodrigo from the other side of the hallway.

"Anong ginagawa mo diyan?" He chuckled. She was taken aback, he was certain that she saw him enter the room while he was on the phone.

Her words were vacuumed off her mouth as she looked at him, her body froze in startle. His eyebrows furrowed as she seemed to be frozen still while holding the door's knob.

Goosebumps rose across her body as it sank to her that it wasn't Rodrigo that she saw enter the room and it terrified her further to think that the Rodrigo that was standing from across the aisle isn't really him either.
