After all, the two of them were a third of the reason that Maryland had been hurting so badly that night.

"While I admit that seeing Maryland break down like that was more than difficult, it's been a couple weeks. Sure, I'm not expecting the topic of West Virginia to be an easy one to bare, but come on? It just so happens that the best way to deal with that is sleeping with your admiral? No one else buys into my theories, but I bet you anything, they're Night battling." She said.

Souryuu blinked.

And despite herself, she pressed the issue.

"Really?" Souryuu found herself unable to turn away the theory.

"Mhm." Hiryuu said proudly. "One hundred percent. Sendai's sure of it." She said.

Souryuu's expression of surprise morphed to one of doubt.

"So.. we're taking Sendai's word now?" She asked, arching a brow as she continued to get dressed. Hiryuu bit her lip a moment at the question, scratching the back of her head somewhat.

"I mean when you put it that way, I guess it sounds crazy?" Hiryuu admitted. "But I mean, if Admiral Johnson and Maryland are night battling, isn't that a good thing for you?" She asked, glancing at Souryuu. The green themed carrier only blinked somewhat.

"Wha- Hiryuu, how is Admiral Johnson and Maryland night battling a positive for me? In anyway?" She asked, a hand going to her hip for a moment. Hiryuu rolled her eyes as if it was the most obvious answer in the world to anyone looking at the situation.

"Missouri?" She asked with confusion. Souryuu blinked. Hiryuu sighed. "Look, it's pretty obvious." She said. "Look, What pennant number is Maryland?" She asked. Souryuu frowned a moment as she thought about it.

"46." She eventually answered, leveling a hand at Hiryuu. The carrier nodded at the answer.

"Missouri's." Hiryuu inquired

"63." Souryuu replied, this time without hesitation. Hiryuu nodded at that.

"Exactly. Look, if Maryland and Admiral Johnson are having night battles, then that's good for you. Because when it comes time for Your own night battles, the first thing Missouri's gonna do is go to her predecessor and get the what's what on night battling so that she can better-" Hiryuu tried but was stopped when a now luminescent red Souryuu slapped a hand over the carrier's mouth, all but glaring at the woman.

Hiryuu only offered a smug grin in response.

"Shut up." Souryuu hissed, her reddened complexion easy to make out, even amongst this lighting. Hiryuu only laughed at that as she slowly pulled Souryuu's hand from her mouth, her smug expression still doing very bad things for the other's nerves.

"Hmmm, has someone already been thinking about this?" She inquired. "Has dear Souryuu already been changed by the Americans in ways that even I haven't even noticed? Has Souryuu become... lewd?" Hiryuu asked in shock, holding a hand in front of her mouth in mock surprise, her eyes widening in both amusement and smug.

Souryuu scowled as she tossed her pillow at Hiryuu, the Carrier cackling as the caught the object. "Shut up." Souryuu grumbled.

"Oh what would dear Houshou think? When she learns that one of her most precious and innocent charges has fallen off into the sea of depravity and sunk beneath the waves?" Hiryuu asked. Souryuu rolled her eyes.

"Like she's one to talk." Souryuu huffed. "She's been just as corrupted as Akagi or I has." She tried. Hiryuu arched a brow.

"By.. Langley?" Hiryuu asked for a moment. "You actually think that Langley, the most motherly carrier only base second only to Houshou, is somehow corrupting Houshou within?" She asked. Souryuu shrugged.
