She was sweating, panting almost.

She'd have a whole year to do what she pleased with him.

"I'd like to bring to your attention that just yesterday, this young man caught a 10 hour plane, to join us on campus for the next 12 months," she placed one of her hands onto the timid boy's shoulder, and tapped it assuringly, "So we've taken into consideration possible mispronunciations, and the after effects of it. So, if you would like, Junseok here doesn't mind you calling him 'Johnny', as his offical English name."

Soobin taps Remi's leg, "Too bad you're leaving, Johnny is cute," she winks.

Remi rolled her eyes.

"Now, for our half of the program," the principle smirks, "I'd like to welcome to the stage, our adored student who will be missed by all."

Remi stopped breathing.

"I call upon Remi Choi to join us."

Caught, like a deer in the headlights.

Everyone around her turned to face her, waiting for her to stand and make her way to the front.

"You're up," Soobin said jokingly, sending her another tap on the knee, and a comforting wink.

She stood up slowly, holding her short skirt down, and awkwardly weaved her way in front of the students in her row, trying not to flash the guys in the process.

One boy in particular—that she had developed a huge crush on over the last few years—made seething eye contact with her. He sent her a side-smile, and checked out her uncomfortableness, which was oddly entertaining for him.

He was tall, brownish blonde hair that was decently long, hanging to his neck, and swaying in all directions. He had tan skin, large hands, he always had cool shoes, and dressed very well outside of school. His face was often nonchalant, but Remi always found character and emotion in it.

He was so handsome.

And his eyes were the most endearing thing about him.

She fake-smiled, and made her way up to the front slowly, focusing everything she had on not tripping over her own two feet. It was scary, every single eye was on her, alone.

Although, she was short, so luckily, many couldn't quite see her head over the sea of students.

She finally made it to the top of the stairs, and stood just to the left of the teacher. She held her hands behind her back, and fumbled with her fingers.

She was blushing hard, and her crush could see it.

"Remi here, as you know, is very academically inclined, if you recall back to the awards night where she received almost every award we handed out," she laughs, attempting to make a joke, but when no one laughs, she continues, "Rina is fluent in Korean, and incredibly familiar with Japanese, too. Speaking three languages almost fluently at her age is very impressive, so it's no surprise that she has chosen to study abroad for her last year of school."

She taps her on the shoulder, in which she responds by cringing.

Remi was smart, but also the human embodiment of the word 'angsty'.

"Miss Remi will be travelling from Sydney to Seoul, South Korea, this Friday. For you, that means that you will have the chance to catch up one last time this afternoon, and I expect you all pay her a visit and bid her your goodbyes. She will not return until late December, and then she will have completed her schooling journey completely."

Her friends Soobin, Malachi, Lucas, Milla and her crush, Jayson, shout out her name from the back of the room.

She looks down to hide her blush, sending them a small wave.

She loves them so much, and was going to miss them more then anything.

"How about we wrap up with you saying something in Korean for us?" she principal smirks, while impulsively shoving the microphone into her face, "Anything!"

Remi slowly leans in, "Uh, ani?"

"No"

"Isn't that 'hello'?" the taller lady asks Remi.

Remi looks up to her, a dumbfounded expression, "Aish." she whispered under her breath, and then let out a deep sigh.

Junseok giggled quietly from the sidelines, covering his mouth.

The principal saw him laugh, and felt like Remi was insulting her, which she was, but was glad that nobody except for Junseok could understand.

"Alright, then, let's wrap this up," she said anxiously, looking back to her crowd of confused students, "Good luck in Korea, Remi!"

Remi walked over to Junseok and decided to introduce herself to him for the first time, before there would be no option.

"Anneyeong-haseyo, januen Remi-umnida," she smiled, "Illumi mwoyeo?"

[Hi, my name is Remi. What's yours?]

The boy gasped, obviously shocked by her decent pronunciation, "Ah, you can speak Korean well! You already know my name," he laughs awkwardly, "It's nice to meet you, Remi."

"Back to you!" she giggles, "Your English is very, very good."

He scratches the back of his neck, "I didn't expect it to be so hard in Australia. There's lots of words I don't know, like 'mate', or 'bro', or 'dude', and 'cunt-"

"No!" she shouted, quickly covering his mouth, "No, no, try not to say that too often."

He laughed, "Oh okay, sorry. I'll try to remember that."

She smiles, letting her hand fall back down to her own hip, and she looks out to the sea of students, before the teacher dismissed them all, and everyone began forwarding out the doors.

Remi and Junseok bow politely to one-another before they part ways and walk off in opposite directions.

On her way to the carpark, Remi was stopped what felt like every five feet.

She had students that she never spoke to coming up to her, showing her in kind words and hugs, while begging to take pictures with her.

She didn't understand why, but let it slide.

She also had countless amounts of teachers stop her and wish her the best of luck on her journey, as she was wandering into the next chapter of her life. She was polite to everyone, but got tired of all the human interaction very quickly.

When she finally made it to the carpark and thought she had a second to breathe, and look out for Soobin, she was stopped by someone else.

This time, someone beeping at her from their car.

She looked to where the sound had come from, and saw Jayson, her crush, in the drivers seat of his cool old fashioned car. He was looking at her, resting his arm on the window. She met eyes with him, and he casually flicked his head, telling her to come over.
