He looked at me. “How much did you hear?”
I didn’t reply and looked at the front of the room. He, roughly, grabbed my elbow and gritted, “How much?” A burning sensation scorched on my skin; It was kind of in a good way.
Still, I shot daggers at him. “Let. Go.”
“Not until you tel-“
“Dalton, let go of her.” Will butted in, growling. I legitly mean he growled; like how I would.
“Why don’t you make me?” Dalton argued, squeezing my elbow more. He was pressing his finger right into the soft spot. I bit my lip to stop from whimpering. I will not show him he’s hurting me.
“Don’t make me get Cole.” Will stated.
A few seconds later, Dalton released his hold on my arm and turned to the front of class. Why would getting Cole make a difference? Last I knew, Dalton could beat the shit out of Cole. Not that he would since they were best friends. Well, before I left… I'm not so sure now. And I’m not calling Cole a wimp, but Dalton’s just a bit taller and has a little bit more muscle.
I looked down at my elbow, observing the damage. I could already see the purple bruising form around my elbow. Awesome. Luckily, it won't be there after class.
“Are you okay?” Will asked, quietly. I looked over at him to see a worried look on his face.
I nodded, making a small laugh. “I’m fine.”
Mr. Tate walked into the classroom and ordered, “Calm down, students.” Mr. Tate is what some girls would call the “eye candy” teacher. I don’t see it. I mean, yeah, he has rich dark brown hair that falls a bit in front of his brown eyes, and a jawline that could cut diamonds. But, still, I don't see it.
He grabbed his clipboard and began roll call. He didn’t look away until he got to my name. “Ms. Pendery?”
I smirked. “I’m back. Miss me?”
Mr. Tate chuckled, retorting, “Tons, Ms. Pendery.”
“Please, Mr. Tate, it's Cass.” That made Mr. Tate chuckle some more and he ran his hand through his hair, ruffling it up some more. Then he went back to finishing roll call. Hey, don’t judge. He’s my favorite teacher here.

“Yo, Cass, will you help me with tonight’s homework?” Will called after me down the hallway.
I turned around with a devious grin. “You mean, like a study date? I don’t think Cole will approve.”
Will’s cheeks turned bright pink and he shook his head. “No, I just don’t get this binomial crap.”
I laughed, pushing his shoulder. “Of course, Will. Just come on over.”
He laughed and glanced at the ground before back at me. “Thanks. Better head to my next class. What do you have?”
I looked down at my schedule. “Uh… English.”
“Oh, hey! So do Cole and I. Walk to class with me?” Will gestured towards up the stairs where the English department was, which is on the second floor.
I just laughed. “Don’t mind if I do.”
Will and I walked next to each other down the halls and I kept getting weird looks from people. Well, I should say guys. They just kept starring. I didn’t change much, and I don't recognize most of the faces.
I looked over at Will and whispered, “What is up with the guys staring?”
Will shrugged. “I don’t know. Some guys might actually find you attractive.”
