"Is it that serious?" I asked, a smile played across my face while I walked over to him.

"Yes, these pants are exactly what I was looking at online and I want them and you're gonna get them for me." He smiled a big grin at me and punched my arm lightly.

"Do I look like I'm made of money?" I asked.

"Of course not, it'd be weird to have a giant hundred dollar bill as a best friend." He paused and thought for a second. "Actually, it'd be really cool."

I laughed and grabbed the skinny jeans that he wanted. I took a glance around to see if I wanted simmering. I saw the CD rack and decided to browse it.

I made the mistake and asked Donny if he wanted anything else and I watched as his eyes lit up. He rummaged through the jeans and found a pair of red and checkered skinny jeans. Then he destroyed the shirt section until he found a black shirt that had the smiling emoji riding a skate board and a grey one that said 'Mess with my food and I'll mess with your face." He thrashed the hats until he found one that matched with the red skinny jeans and one that matched the grey shirt.

I sighed in relief that they didn't have shoes in the stores because he would've wrecked that too.

"Are you done?" Donny called to me already at the register. I felt bad for the check out girl because she was eyeing the clothes, and the completely trashed store.

My eyebrow twitched as I walked over to him. I placed the pair of jeans that he originally wanted on the counter so she could ring them up.

As she went through the pile of clutter she eyed us and smiled. "It's so sweet that you're buying all of this for him." She said. Her brown eyes never looking away from us.

"Yeah, if I didn't he would have complained about it for the next month. I only have to learn that lesson once." I sighed and I saw him grinning from ear to ear.

"Awh," She cooed.

She finished with the clothes and told me that the total came up to a hundred and five dollars. If looks could kill Donny's head would've exploded. He didn't stop grinning as I paid the bill and gathered his stuff.

"So how long have you two known each other?" She asked.

"Five years. We met in seventh grade." Donny answered.

"Awh, and how long have you guys been together?" Her smile for wider.

I knew it didn't click in his head, but my eyes got wide and my voice was yelling. "We're not together!"

Her smile began to fade as I pushed Donny out the store and towards my bike.

"She thought we were dating?" Donny asked.

I didn't answer him. I couldn't just wrap my mind around it. I sighed and didn't think about it again. I didn't want to think about it anymore. Donny is my best friend and I couldn't think of him I'm any other way but that.

He took my silence as a yes and smiled playfully. "If you're in that much of a rush to get me in bed then I should suggest that a bathroom is right there for a quickie." He winked and I got a little annoyed by his comment.

I elbowed him in his gut and let out a small growl, he found this more funny than I did.

"Ouch, that hurts." He said, still smiling,

"Good." I muttered.

"You know we could also do it on the floor, in front of everyone so they could watch." He laughed and I elbowed him again, this time a little harder.

"Shut up, Don." I said.

Donny rubbed his side and kept quiet. We made it to my bike and I put the bags under the seat, put on my helmet, and got on. He did the same and wrapped his arms around me as I started the bike.

I tried not to think about how she thought that Donny and I were together, but couldn't stop myself. How could she even think that Don and I were gay? We're both straight, that I knew. I never thought about being with a guy, but I didn't want to think about that. I liked girls and girls loved me.

We stopped at a red light and a red jeep pulled up beside us. I looked over as the driver rolled down the window.

"Fuck you fags!" The driver yelled at us. He looked a little older than us, looks like he was in college because he had a fraternity sign spray painted on the door

In the back I could see his friends flicking us off and drinking beer. I grew furious but instead of bashing their heads in like I should've done I let out a long breath as the light turned green.

I took off as fast as I could so I could be away from those fucking idiots. I felt Donny hold me tighter as we rode. Knowing him he shrugged off the comment and laughed to himself.

I pulled into Donny's neighborhood and he relaxed his hold on me. I pulled into his driveway and parked. We both got up and took of our helmets. I saw that Donny was looking worried and I knew it about me.

"Dude, I'm fine." Was all I could manage to say but I knew that I wasn't fine. I was far from fine. I was pissed.

"You don't look fine." He tilted his head to the side. "Wait!" He tilted all the way to right. "Now you look fine."

I couldn't help but to laugh at his stupidity. He always knew how to make me laugh when I wasn't in the mood.

"Seriously dude. It's not a big deal. A few people thought we were dating, so what? We both know that we're not so why get worked up about it?" He gave me a reassuring smile with his head still tilted.

I smiled back at him. "You're right. Now get your expensive shit and go in the house. And you better take of that crap."

"It wasn't expensive to me. It's free stuff." He grinned.

"Screw that, it was expensive. Take care of it or you'll end up at the bottom of the ocean." I narrowed my eyes at him,

"Yes honey." He winked, grabbed his stuff and ran into the house before I could say anything to him.

The sad part was that made me smile as I got on my bike. Sometimes he's knows how to cross a line, but sometimes he knew how to uncross it too.
