"Miss, Annalisa is looking for you in the TV room."
"OK sir," I replied,"And sir, don't call me miss. You can call me Thea,"I told him with a smile.
"Dear Thea, don't call me Sir. I am Maurice. You're making me older kiddo." We laughed because no offence, he was old.
"I will also call you dear Maurice," I happily replied.
"That would be nice of you," he said. I nodded, "It is nice meeting you in person."
"Same," I answered. I continued descending down and I could see the kitchen which was more like an open floor but well hidden from the living room to the left. The dinning was just near the kitchen. I couldn't see the TV room except for the living room. I was just walking.
"Dear Thea, do you know the way to the TV room?" He asked. He had noticed that I had stopped moving when I reached down.
"No."
"Turn look at your left, ignore that part and look left. There are sliding doors. That's the way to the TV room."
"Thank you."
"Welcome."
I went to the left and it was like a pace for hanging out. There were books which I took note that I will check out later. There were also some family pictures. I peeked and there was a family portrait of D-man's family. I admired for a second and I decided I will check later. I knocked on the door and the doors were slid.
"The movie is almost starting Thea," she said while pulling me inside the room. The dominating colour was black but the ceiling had stars shining. It had a set up of a movie theatre but much small with almost six seats.
"Wow," I said.
"Wow too," she loudly said, "Thea, you look so adorable in glasses. You look like you are fifteen."
"Thank you," I said. I also can't believe that I am seventeen, "what are we watching?" We walked to the front seat.
"The Lion King."
"It's the one that came out when we were at camp," she said while taking a remote.
"Yes... I never had time to watch it on my phone and I prefer the TV," she said. I would also prefer watching on this 55 inch TV.
"You just know Anna," I said while throwing a popcorn in my mouth that Anna gave me.
"Let's enjoy the movie."
"Yeah."
***
"Spirit, watch the heavens open,open.
Spirit, can you hear me calling, calling." Anna was singing along. "Beyonce nailed the songs," she said happily."They are good especially Already," I said. That one is my favourite song.
"I know right. The beat just gives me the energy."
"That's true." Music speaks guys!
"Yeah."
We continued watching. I already know how the movie goes. If anyone has never watched The Lion King before, you missed a huge part of your childhood. It was classic.
"Sup guys. What're you watching?" Few minutes later, I heard D-man asking while sitting to my left. I was startled a little.
"The Lion King," I replied.
"And it looks like I beat you on watching the movie with Thea," Anna said while her eyes still on the TV.
"I know about that and hey, that's not cool," he paused,"You guys never watched it at camp?" He asked.
"We had phones after every fortnight. Once. Who would waste time on watching a movie than making my own videos," Anna answered.
"Or read a novel online," I also answered. I looked at Anna who shook her head and looked at D-man who also shook his head and mouthed No.
It clearly showed that they would choose a movie over a story. I would choose the novel of it.
"I get you people. D-man you have already watched it? Besides the animated one," I asked to freshen up our talk.
"20th July. That's when I watched it," he said as if it was the most important day in his life.
"It was in cinemas," I said.
"I got my own ways to watch it."
"Don't say -"
"No. I never told Kelvin to facetime me on the premiere day and face the camera to the movie," D-man interrupted his school.
Anna just nodded but we both know we were not convinced.
"Let's mind on the movie," I said.
"Already on it," Anna agreed.
"Whatever," D-man said while taking out his phone. "By the way, you look nice in those glasses and outfit. I should really join the fashion world."
"You already in the age- in the estate agent industry. The estate agency. Derek when are you checking out that penthouse because I like how luxurious stuff?" Anna said.
"D-man, you are in the property business?" This whole time I had been so stupid. Fuck agency books for filling my head with suspicious clues.
"I know right so unbelievable of me. It's okay Parker, Anna will show you some of my designs later. Right Anna?" D-man eyed her sister.
"I will be glad to show you Thea," she said at his brother. I nodded. There eyes showed that they were fighting. Siblings go.
***
We were almost done with the movie when we heard the door opening. We looked back and I accidentally bumped my head with someone. I think it was D-man because I heard his groan.
"Are you guys OK?" Anna asked us.
"I hope I don't get a bump," D-man said.
"Same," I said while rubbing my forehead.
"I am sorry Dear Thea."
"Its okay dear Maurice," I said.
"I don't know if my head hurts more or I never got a sorry from Maurice. And you guys are in the dear titles?" I remained silent before my laugh betrayed me.
Anna just chuckled.
