CHAPTER 8: OH GOD...

She bit back her harsh words that she was about to spit out but Kageyama only said, "Yeah." She stood there as he walked away and received a hit by Tanaka and Sugawara, her glare caused a shiver to run down their spines and she mutters before walking away, "Fucking asshole..." He looked gobsmack as he watches her walk away from them and he saw the back of her jack when she pulled her hair up. He was in a daze as he read that words that were stitched to her jacket repeatedly and he felt goosebumps form on his skin when he realized that they weren't messing with a regular girl.

As they entered the gymnasium, they were met with multiple people practicing. They greeted each other and she glanced at Kiyoko as she stood next to her. She whispered to her with a grin, "Ne, do you think we're going to win today?" She looks at the brunette and shrugs which caused Aya to pout at her answer. They went to place their stuff doing and started to change out of their tracksuit. She placed her helmet down and tightened her ponytail before unzipping the jacket with her teeth since she was still busy focusing on her locks, she took the jacket off and folded it up. She placed the jacket into her duffle bag and pulled her track pants down, she steps out of the holes and did the same to what she did with her jacket. 

She taps her toes against the floor as she felt her shoes shift a bit and she didn't notice how everyone except Karasuno stares at her curvy figure. She placed her volleyball pads on onto her limps and smiled when she was finished gearing up, she started taping her fingers and when she finished, she grabbed a ball and started tossing into the air. Once she was satisfied with her tossing, she heard her name being called. She tilts her head as Daichi motioned her over and she walks towards him. "Is something wrong, Daichi-san?" She asked when she was close enough and he asked her and Kiyoko, "Is there anything effective you two could say to Hinata, that first year, as the managers?"

The two girls glance at each other and nod, they went over to him and smiled as they encouraged him in sync while placing their had on his shoulders, "We're counting on you." He was silent for a second until he blew a fuse which caused them both to flinch away. Aya crookedly smiled at him and they both walked away when they were called. The ball was abandoned by her on the way and she stood next to Kiyoko on the sidelines. The referee stated after blowing the whistle, "We will now begin the practice match between Karasuno Highschool versus Aoba Johsai Highschool."

She held her hands in front of her thighs as she watched how Hinata was in a panic, she breathed in and yelled with her hands cupping her mouth, catching everyone's attention, "Good luck, Hinata!" The referee blew the whistle and Aoba Johsai Highschool was the first to serve, at this point, she wondered how this boy got so nervous that he stole Daichi's receive. She faceplants as she grumbled to herself, "This boy is going to be the death of us at this point." Kiyoko heard her and snickered silently but it got worse with each passing minute. Kiyoko had to hold her back as she growled at the orange-haired male who was apologizing for his mistakes, her voice was furious as she roars, "Hinata! Get your head in the game or else!"

She was released but out of nowhere, she was met with a volleyball against her head and she was stiff as a board as it fell to the floor and everyone was silent. She picked up the ball and walked towards Hinata but she wasn't the only one, Kageyama was next to her. They both stalked towards him with their heads down and they both ignored what he was saying as he backed up. Once they were an inch away from him, Kageyama spoke, "Just wondering..." Hinata squeaks out, "Yes?" She continued on for Kageyama, "Why are you so intimidated? Why are you so nervous? Is it because the opponents are tall? Is it because this is your first practice match?" With each sentence she spoke, they both leaned closer to him.

They both raised their hand as Kageyama spoke, "There's nothing scarier than hitting a serve into the back of our heads..." They both slapped their own head as they stared at him with dead eyes and said in sync, "Is there?" Hinata answered with a frightened look, "I can't think of anything." They both continued to slap the back of their heads as they spoke in sync, "In that case, you have no reason to be nervous anymore, do you? Because you've already done it... The scariest thing possible." She placed her finger in front of his forehead as she spoke, "So now..." Kageyama roared as he pointed back to the court, "Get back to normal, you jackass!" Hinata looks at them with a surprised look and she walked back to her position as she tossed the ball back to the referee.

She rubbed her head as she glared at noting while walking back to her spot, she didn't notice how her aura was dark and intimidating as she stood next to Kiyoko who gave her a pat against the shoulder. She rolled her shoulders a bit as she looked at the roof with a blank look until she opened her eyes and her eyes dark a lot that her original eye color looked different. She watched how Tanaka glanced at her as they switched out and she stood in his position, she was dead quiet and wasn't the same girl off of the court, she was in her volleyball zone that no one could knock her out.

She rolled her neck as she heard the whistle blow and she heard how Hinata was being taunted, she glared at the two and her voice was low as she warned, "Shut the fuck up before I give you another reason to quit volleyball." Tsukishima and the turnip guy backed away when they realized that she was dead serious and wasn't playing around anymore. She backed away as she received the ball perfectly and saw how Hinata missed the quick. She heard the turnip guy stay nonsense to the smaller boy and she spoke as she walked closer to him, she was against the net as she glared up at him, "How about you mind your own damn business, Mr. Turnip head? It would be a pleasure to hear the silence if you shut that hole that is spilling shit." 

He was taken back by her and was about to retort but she walked away before he could, she sends a nod towards Kageyama who spoke as he stared at Hinata, "My bad. That toss was too high." He and the brunette walked away, they were quietly speaking for the next idea. But Kageyama froze when Hinata said, "I guess I can forgive you." He turned around and gripped his head as he had an annoyed look on his face. She snickered at his dismay and smiled as she watches the interaction between the two, catching the opposite team's attention. Her smile dropped when the whistle went and she was at the left as Kageyama got the ball in his hands. 

Without the opposite team noticing, Hinata already slammed the ball into their side and they only noticed when the whistle went off. She silently cheered and gave a thumbs up to the duo, Kageyama saw that she was impatient of getting a toss and he could see it in her eyes. As the ball was passed around, she jumped into the air when the blockers were on Hinata and she smirked when she saw the ball in front of her. Black large wings were wide open as she was in mid-air. Her calves were above the net and she slammed her hand against the ball, it went straight into the opposite court and it stayed on the ground for a second before bouncing back into the air. She huffs as she lands and cheers were heard, Hinata was jumping around her while Kageyama was asking her if it was too high or too fast and she could only laugh.

Everyone except Karasuno stared at her with wide eyes and their mouths were wide open, she saw turnip head's expression and she smirked as she taunted, "What? Never saw a girl doing a quick attack?" He was lost for words and his mouth only moved but nothing came out, she rolls her eyes and high fived the duo. He continued to send her tossed but fast ones and Hinata was the decoy, she always seemed to surprise the opponents when she slams her spike against the floor, she accidentally punctured the ball before the referee called time out for the teams. 

They went their separate ways and she rubbed her hands a bit from all the hits she got. She grabbed her water bottle and gulped the cold liquid down, she sighed in relief once her thirst was gone. She was out for this round and she started to change the tape around her fingers, she winced a bit but smirked when she saw how pink her hands were. 

She knew that they had this game but she didn't know who will arrive at the gym in a few minutes...
