I'd finally said yes into being his. Oh good Lord, Ares has actually won me over and there was nothing no one could do about it. Not Gabrielle. Not even the mighty Hercules.
Everyone would probably be shocked.
After all Ares isn't the normal man that I would say yes to, but I'd decide to change everything and this was one of them. For as long I can remember Ares always had an obsession with me and maybe even a piece of my heart.
As I stood in the middle of the woods, in that gorgeous white sleeveless wedding dress, with my fingers inlaced with Ares' hair, I kissed him deeply.
Holy shit. . . I had actually forgot what it was like to kiss a God.
Especially my God of War.
Ares smirked against my lips as he slipped his muscled arms around my slender waist. Slowly, the War God broke our kiss as gently as possible.
"I'm assuming this means you're mine."
He chuckled lightly, lifting me up, effortlessly, into his arms, bridal style as we both disappeared and reappeared on Olympus, in his bedchambers.
"This is going to be fun, explaining to dear old Mommy and Daddy that you and I are married."
Ares sat me down to my feet as he walked over to his bed, patting the empty spot along side of him.
I groaned slightly as I walked over to his over sized bed, laying in it alongside of him.
"They don't know? Do you want them to know? I'm sure Zeus and Hera aren't going to be happy that you married a mortal and not some Goddess. Or at least a mortal you don't have some sorta history with."
But, oh how I curled right up into him.
"I have to tell my Mother and Gabrielle."
Although Gabrielle and I were now ex lovers, I always felt some need to tell her things that should know about and this was definitely one of them.
"You don't know if your sister is here do you, Ares?"
Ares chuckled lightly as he pulled me closer to him. Once he was satisfied, he rested himself on his elbow, his other arm draped around my waist.
"They've known for a very long that I loved you. So I kinda hope this won't be that much of a surprise to them as it probably would be the blonde."
And by 'the blonde', he meant my ex - girlfriend, Gabrielle.
"But then yet again, she always had hated me."
He rose a brow at me; not sure which sister that I was talking about.
"Which sister are you referring to, my Queen? I have too many."
"She doesn't hate you, Ares. She just doesn't understand why I've put up with the obsession. All the games of cat and mouse for years."
I looked up at him, leaning up and kissing his cheek.
"The only sister that doesn't hate me. I just need some guidance how to tell Gabrielle about our marriage."
"The cat and mouse game? If I remember correctly, I tried many of times to court you."
He huffed, kissing my forehead.
"I have no idea, Xena. She might be with Blondie. You know how close these two are, but enough about them."
Ares smirked as he hooked his arm around my waist, picking me up and sitting me on top of him.
"Now, where were we?"
Oh, he was good.
"Ares. . ."
I groaned softly, looking down at the God underneath me.
"I know where this is going but please let me find Gabrielle first and then we can. . . . You know."
I winked at him as I smiled softly. I knew Ares would do just about anything to make me happy, even if that means going on a quest to find Gabrielle.
Holding me a bit tighter to, I heard him sigh as he nodded his head.
"Alright, alright. Let's go find her."
He smiled, leaning up, kissing me on the lips deeply; not wanting to let me go, Ares slowly broke the kiss.
"Let's go before I decide to chain you up to the bed and have my way with you."
Disappearing in purple and blue orbs from his bedchamber, we reappeared back in Greece; my mother's tavern to be more significant.
