"Suga-san?"
You looked up as soon as you heard your name called. You instantly recognized the male that had poked his head into the gym.
"Konoha-senpai?!" You grinned as you stood to bow in greeting to him.
"Oh! It's been a while, huh? You look good, as always," He chuckled as he walked over towards you. Once he had reached you, the two of you started to stretch together as you chat a bit.
It was nice to see him. He was one of the boys that you had ended up talking to from Fukurodani and he was a pretty good player as well. The two of you caught up on what they two of you had been doing the past two years. You told him about how the nationals went in your third year as well as what you were planning on doing in the future. It wasn't even the slightest bit awkward between the two of you, sure you weren't as close to him as you were with other guys, but he was easy to talk to. Conversation flowed effortlessly as if you had been best friends. Of course, being his usual self, he didn't hold back with slipping in a few flirtatious remarks here and there.
It really wasn't anything new. The first time you had met him, he was the same. Of course back then you had Noya and Tanaka that would rush in and whisk you away to protect you. But, you didn't mind. Konoha was a nice guy and you being quite dense normally brushed it off as a joke or that this was just how he normally acted to everyone.
Soon the other boys had joined the two of you in the gym and you all started to get warmed up. It felt good. The four of you were doing some cardio to get your bodies warmed up to practice when another male had entered the gym. Your back was to the door so you hadn't noticed, but as soon as Chikara had looked at the other male his eyes widened in surprise. You furrowed your eyebrows at his expression as well as the other boys' expressions and turned towards the direction they were all staring.
At the entrance of the gym stood the spiky brunette male with a smaller yet muscular stature. You gasped a bit and smiled brightly, "Iwaizumi-san! You made it!"
That resulted in all the boys to then look at you with confused looks, which you ignored for a moment to walk over to Iwaizumi. You grinned brightly at him and grabbed his wrist to pull him towards the boys. He seemed a little shy or maybe awkward since he didn't know anyone. Once you had grabbed a hold of his wrist, his face started to redden and he allowed you to pull him. This didn't go unnoticed by Chikara and a sly expression flashed across his features. Being your friend for so long, he gained the ability to tell when guys had fallen for you. And there was no doubt in his mind that Iwaizumi was one of those guys, he was also sure that his attraction towards you ultimately resulted in his involvement in the team.
"Guys, this is Iwaizumi-san! He was the ace of Aoba Johsai back in high school, he's agreed to be apart of our team!" You grinned happily as you let go of him so he could greet the other guys. "Iwaizumi-san, this is Konoha-senpai and Akaashi-san. Oh you also know, Chikara."
Iwaizumi took deep breaths to calm his heart before he looked to each of the males that you had pointed out to him. He bowed in greeting to all of them and smiled softly, "I hope we can all work well together..."
The boys smiled at him and nodded their own greetings before the five of you returned to warming up. After a short while all of you started to do some spiking practice as a form of warm ups. Unlike the other guys, Iwaizumi didn't know about your background in volleyball. He had heard rumors that you used to play in middle school and that you were pretty good, but he had never actually seen you play. So he was a little surprised when you were on the opposite side of the net to receive their spikes. Part of him was also a little nervous that he would hurt you if he had spiked it too hard. But, it surprised him even more when Chikara and Konoha had spiked at seemingly full power towards you. To top it off, you had received all of them perfectly.
