"To complete the reject, Audrilina Woods, you have to agree to this. After you agree to this, we are free to mate with someone else," Alex said in a monotone, with an emotionless mask. He looked so calm... so reserved.

Exactly the opposite of me. Silent tears streamed down my face during the whole thing, and still, his mask didn't even show the potential of cracking.

Obviously, the whole rejection didn't affect him as much as it affected me.

Who was I kidding. He was the one who rejected me.

If agreement to the rejection was what he wanted, then he damn right wasn't getting it.

A new sense of confidence burned through me, as I looked into his eyes. I held my head high, and I told him bravely, "I, Audrilina Jean Woods, do not accept the rejection. For the love of God, Alexander Drew Beaut," I said, spitting out his name like it was venom on my tongue, "How could you be so heartless? Without me, there is no way you can get a heir to the Alpha line, unless you mate with a filthy human. Do you think you can get other wolves pregnant? I think not," I smirked.

I had nothing against humans, don't get me wrong, I was just furious at that careless asshole.

"I rejected you because your wolf is not strong enough for me. Either than that, you're okay. You're the Beta's daughter, so you're ranking is quite impressive. It's not that you're ugly. It's just that you're too weak. My chosen mate will be Pepsi Dean, the strongest wolf in the pack. But Audrilina, I'm speaking for you now, if you don't reject me, you'll have more pain, you know that. Choose you choice, Audrilina."

I knew. I knew very well. The compliments he made didn't faze me at all. There was just that one sentence, repeating over and over again in my head.

"I, Alexander Drew Beaut, do not accept Audrilina Jean Woods as my mate."

"I, Alexander Drew Beaut, do not accept Audrilina Jean Woods as my mate."

"I, Alexander Drew Beaut, do not accept Audrilina Jean Woods as my mate."

"Okay," I replied, my voice oddly calm, although my heart was breaking. "I'll reject you. But the thing is, Alex, there will be a day, where you'll regret ever rejecting me as your mate. And I'm going to wake up every single day, and go to sleep, thinking about this rejection, and plotting my revenge against you," I said. "Oh Alex, you think I'm being overdramatic, don't you?" I cooed.  My look immediately turned deadly.

"The thing is, I'm not overreacting, or exaggerating. Watch. Your. Back," I told him in a low, dangerous voice, spinning on my heel and walking out of the cafeteria, satisfied at his dumbfound expression, and the fact that I had rendered him speechless for the first time that day.

The unshed tears in my eyes threatened to spill, but I held them back, telling myself I had to be strong.

I sprinted back home and changed into a sweatshirt and cotton pants scribbled my family a note.

Mom, Dad, understand me. Please don't try and find me. I know what I'm doing. I got rejected by my mate today (Alex Beaut), and I can't do this anymore. I can't wallow in my own sadness and humiliation. You know this isn't me.

I love all of you guys so much, and that will never change.

Forever in your heart,

Audri

Sealing the note with a few of my tears, I placed the note on my desk, and walked around the house, scavenging for all the money I could find.

Mom was going to be waiting with a kitchen knife when I got back.

If I got back.

I hope they'd be fine without me.

Grabbing a compass off the dining table, I started running north to the Black Night pack's territory, knowing chances of not getting caught was slim. When I officially stepped foot in their territory, I went to the nearest Walmart and bought some stuff to make-do for the things I had left at home, which including a cell phone, clothes, make up, hair dye, shoes, food, a tent, a sleeping bag, and a few flashlights, with some extra batteries just incase. Also, a portable mini stove and towels.

Heaving, I struggled along, trying to find a decent place for me to have my temporary home at.

God, I hated to admit it, but Alex was hell right.

I was weak.

I set up the tent clumsily, placing the things I had bought here and there. I needed to use the hair dye for disguise, but tiredness overtook me, and I drifted into a deep slumber.

*End Flashback*

"Alpha, I sense a wolf here in the tent," a voice not-so-discreetly whispered, making me toss and turn.

Wait.

Alpha?

I immediately snapped my eyes open, and I searched for the source of the voice.

"Don't move, Danny," a deep, baritone voice interrupted.

Sighing inwardly in irritation, I stepped up from my bed quietly, walking to the door.

Boy, whoever was at the door was going to regret it.

You never woke up Audrilina Woods without a valid excuse.

"Should we charge, Alpha?" the lighter voice said in a questioning tone.

That is when I decided to open the flap. I guess the move was unexpected, because the next thing I knew, was that there were two big bodies piling in the front of my tent.

"Hello," I said pleasantly, trying to act oblivious of the hilarious scene in front of me. "How may I help you?"

The guy who I assume was the Alpha asked, "Do you know that you're trespassing on the Black Night's territory?"

I replied with a calm nod, although I was dying of fear inside. "Yes, Mr. Alpha, I ran away from home, and headed north. I assume you are the Beta, so that means we are equals. I am Audrilina Jean Woods, daughter of Beta John Woods of the Silver Moons pack."

"She is the runaway from the pack," the Beta mused. " Should we give her back, Alpha?"

"NO!" I yelled, tears building up as I thought about the humiliating scene that had unfolded at the cafeteria. "Please don't take me back there. Alex Beaut rejected me on my 18th birthday, there is nothing worse than taking me back."

My name is Audrilina Jean Woods, stray werewolf, and I ran away from my pack.
