"Y-you kept me w-warm," I said looking away, "s-so I don't m-mind."
I heard a sigh of relief slip from Mikhail as he sat up again, resting his head on the bed and looking up at me before looking away, there was an indistinguishable red on his ears and parts of his cheeks.
"T-that... was probably the best sleep I've had in a while," he confessed awkwardly.
"M-me too," I agreed.
I didn't have any nightmares last night. I usually would...
"U-um anyway, I-I'll just go and..." he shot up and grabbed some clothes and disappeared into the bathroom. Moments later he came out, shaking his head as he left the room.
I showered and dressed after that, when I went out to the dining room, I notice that Mikhail and his older self weren't there.
"They've gone out to do a job," my older self popped out of nowhere and passed me a cup of coffee, "there are some skiers stranded off course of a slope, one of them is injured so they're stuck."
"The on-site search and rescue are also heading that way, but they'll take too long with the amount of gear they need," Mitch added on, "come on. Come sit down and have some breakfast."
I nodded and did as told before realising something.
"U-um... H-how can we u-understand you?" I asked, "I-I know I d-don't know French."
"That'll be my quirk," Eleanna replied, "anyone I have a clear image of will be able to understand anything they read or hear. I took the liberty of getting some images of you all now and 15 years ago, so you've had my quirk affecting you since you landed in France."
"Now that's impressive," Mirio said, "your range is really amazing."
"We have a lot of guests visit from all over the world," Mitch replied, "she has plenty time to practice. Now, how about you tell me about your time. To be more specific, the date, the time, what was going on."
"D-date was Sunday 1st S-September. I-it was probably around 10pm," I said, "a-and we were a-at Musutafu d-docks... Dealing with t-the Sato family."
"Who were trying to put body controlling drugs into everyone," Nejire added on cheerfully, "speaking of that drug, is it out of Mikhail?"
"Yeah, older Mikhail took him to the hospital yesterday morning after we dropped him back off at their apartment," my older self replied, "anyway, back to the time thing—"
Mikhail's PoV (the younger one)
"You think we're close?" I asked as we paused our climbing of the mountain.
We took the weird chair lift things up to the highest point we could and ended up hiking the rest of the journey.
"Hmm.." my older self looked around and then pointed down, "yeah. Look here, ski tracks. We shouldn't be too far behind. Come on."
We continued walking through the snow, following two skiing indents into the forest again.
"I have a question for you, little me," my older self glanced over his shoulder to me, "what do you think of Tamaki? Like him?"
"Sure. He's my friend," I nodded.
"I mean... On a bit of a deeper level that that," he said, "you know... romantically?"
I stopped walking and stared at him before rolling my eyes.
"You tell me," I said, "you were me fifteen years ago. You tell me because hell if I know. My only experience of love was... Those four years. A dumb thirteen, fourteen, fifteen and sixteen-year-old dating one guy who ended up being my emotional downfall."
"Fair enough," he nodded before turning to me, "you like him. You like him a lot but it's that experience with... uh him that's confusing you. What we had during those four years wasn't even a relationship, it was toxic and really bad for our mental wellbeing. It messed up our picture of what a relationship should look like and because of that you're confused."
"Wow. Is that really the issue I got?" I asked, "an unhealthy idea of what a relationship should be?"
"Yeah," he nodded, "I like to call it the relationships for idiots 101."
"I'm no idiot," I glared at him before beginning to walk again.
"Academically? No. Romantically? Hell the fuck yes," he rolled his eyes as he walked beside me.
"Wow... and you kiss your husband with that mouth, I'm disappointed," I shook my head with a small laugh. He laughed as well.
"I'm being serious, though," he said before sighing, "it takes us so long to act on our feelings because of him."
"Why am I suddenly getting told about all of this?" I asked.
"Because..." he looked away, "if you haven't figured it out already, Tamaki and I... And you... Get married."
Whoa now—I'm hella oblivious to miss that obvious point.
"Hey—" he stared at me as I looked away, "oi—you oblivious son of a bitch! You didn't know did you?"
"I—uh—I won't tell you anything of what I did and did not know," I huffed.
"I... don't remember being this oblivious," he rolled his eyes before humming, "tracks are getting messy here. We need to be quicker. Come on."
We started to sprint.
"I have to warn you of something," he shouted to me as we ran, I looked at him and gestured for him to continue, "Watch out for Aysen."
