'And even if you stutter, I still find you a pretty nice guy. They are just jealous.'

'Jealous? Because I stutter?'

'No, because you're a handsome guy and they aren't.'

I blushed. 'I'm not handsome.'

'You are.' I saw the slight pink blush on his face getting redder. I suddenly realised how close our faces actually were. We stared in each other's eyes for a few minutes. I didn't know for sure, but I could have sworn his face came a little closer, he seemed like he wanted to hug me. Suddenly we heard the door opening. Clay cleared his throat and quickly moved away from me. So he did indeed come closer. Why? I couldn't say I minded though. I liked being in his presence, it calmed me down.

'Are you alright, George?' The teacher walked closer to us.

'Y-y-yes.'

Clay grabbed my hand and made sure she couldn't see it. He rubbed his thumb over it again and it calmed me down.

'Do you two want to come back? I made clear he needs to stop acting like this and the others are introducing themselves. Might feel good for you to know them a little.'

'Fine.'

Clay and I stood up. He was blushing. I didn't really know why, but I left it like that. We walked back into the classroom. The boy rolled his eyes as soon as he saw me and I quickly sat down.

'Go cry to your mum,' he whispered.

'Shut up,' Clay said.

The introducing round continued and fifteen minutes later everyone told something about themselves. The teacher introduced herself and everyone just started talking with each other. They gave us our schedules for the week and most of my classes were the same as Clays so I was very happy about that. We only had school for 2 hours today. This class was to meet our new class and the next class was some explaining about the finals we had to do this year.

'George?'

'Yes?'

'After school, would you like to hang out?'

'S-sure.'

Clay smiled. 'Yay.'

The lesson continued slowly, I was constantly scared but I luckily didn't have to talk anymore. The lunchbreak had started and Clay walked with me.

'Come, this way, George.'

I nodded and walked behind him. We sat down on a bench and I grabbed my lunchbox, my mum left me a note.

"I love you, George. Good luck with your first schoolday. You can do it, love mum"

Clay smiled.

'W-what?'

'I don't know, it's kinda cute.'

'What is?'

'The note.'

'Do you not think I'm c-childish?'

'It's cute.'

I blushed. 'I d-don't see m-my dad very often so I'm with my m-mum all the time.'

'That's sweet of you. I-.'

'Hey, George.' I saw the boy who bullied me come closer. Apparently his name was Peter.

'W-what?'

'I want to say I'm sorry.'

'Oh, t-t-thanks.'

'What? Can you speak a little louder?'

He was just here to bullying me again.

'I s-s-said-.'

'What?' He came closer and hit my lunchbox out of my hands. It fell onto the ground and my sandwich fell down on the floor.

'Oh sorry, I couldn't hear you. Maybe you should try and speak a little louder and better.'

Clay stood up. 'What the heck is wrong with you. That's his food.'

'It's still his food. He could lose some weight though.'

I looked at my legs and arms. Was I fat?

'What the heck? He is not fat at all, he is very thin.'

'Maybe he has anorexia, he would throw away his food anyways.'

'That's n-n-not t-t-true.'

Clay pushed him away. 'Leave, you freaking idiot.'

Peter left and Clay picked up my sandwich. I felt like panicking. My mum prepared that for me.

'I can give you my food, George. I'm not that hungry. I ate two sandwiches this morning and some cereals.'

'N-no n-need to.'

'Hey, calm down, George.'

'I-.'

I felt like crying, but I didn't want to again. I stood up and walked away. I couldn't be with Clay, he would think I'm weak if he saw me cry again.
