I went back to sleep and it occurred to me that this was what it was going to be like when the tour ends. I tried not to worry too much right now because we still have some time left together but eventually we'll have to figure something out.

Around seven, luke finally texted me which I assumed to be him just waking up or forgetting to call and wasted cell battery.

I dialed his house number and waited a little bit before someone finally picked up

I dialed his house number and waited a little bit before someone finally picked up.

"Hello, Hemmings residence." A woman answered. Before I could say anything I heard another voice but it was muffled. A minute later Luke was on the line.

"Hey, sorry I didn't plug my phone in last night when I went to bed." He said when he got on.

"That's okay. How are things down there?" I asked, walking out of the house to the patio so the boys didn't hear my conversation.

"They're great; family is all here and the boys seem to be having a good time with their families. By the way Ashton wants you to call him when you get the chance; he thought telling me would ensure a higher chance of you remembering." Luke explained." I know it's only been a day but I miss you."

"I miss you too and Ashton probably thinks all we're going to do on this break is talk on the phone and text." I replied." When we get back on tour you and I are going to need to workout a schedule for calling because I'm sure your parents don't want to hear your conversations and I know jack and the guys don't want to hear mine."

"Yeah. I didn't think about that last night when I called you." Luke sighed." I was just really excited to talk to you."

"I would've been more excited if it wasn't five in the morning." I chuckled." By the way I had a moment to think about the next time I'll need to call your house phone and if your mom picks up again, what should I tell her I am because if you haven't told her we're dating yet I don't want to Out you."

"She knows and I could ask the same question for you." He answered.

"Uh to be determined. I haven't exactly told the boys yet but something tells me they already know since it's on social media big I feel like they would've asked me about it by now." I explained. The conversation went on for a while until he had go and until it began pitch black outside.

"We'll talk later or tomorrow, I still haven't figured out this time zone thing." He told me.

"We'll talk soon." I replied before hanging up. I went back inside and the boys were watching a football game.

"Who was that? You've been talking to them since dinner." Sam asked me as I sat down.

"Just a friend." I replied." We were just catching up, haven't talked in a while."

They nodded without taking their eyes off the TV. When the game wrapped up I headed to bed, keeping my sound on in case Luke texts or calls again while I'm asleep.

Luke's POV:
When I woke up I noticed my phone wasn't plugged in and that it was in eight percent. Before grabbing the charger out of my bag I remembered that i told Meghan I'd call her and quickly texted her and told her to call the house.

I sent the text and plugged my phone in before going downstairs to the kitchen. I found my mum in her pjs watching The Morning Show while making breakfast.

"Morning sweetie, there's bacon in the oven if you'd like any." She said when she noticed me come in. I took a strip and went on to make myself something to eat. I got a bowl from the cupboard and poured some cereal. As I sat down and started eating, the phones began to ring. Before I could answer my mum picked it up.

"Hello, Hemmings residence." Mum said, answering the phone.

"Mom it's for me." I told her.

"How do you know? Who is it?" She asked me, pressing the phone on her shoulder.

"It's Meghan, Ashton's sister...my girlfriend." I replied." The one I told you about last night." She understood what I was saying and handed me the phone.

"Hey, sorry I didn't plug my phone in last night when I went to bed." I said into the phone as I abandoned my cereal and headed up to my room.

The conversation went on for hours and the longer it went, the more I wished she could continue talking forever. It was less than a day into this break and I already missed her so much; I missed seeing her smile, her voice, being able to sleep with her.

When we had to hang up I got the realization that I'd have to get used to this because when the tour ends we are coming back here and she'll be going back to LA for school.
