The man looks at her briefly, an emotion passed in his eyes as he encountered the same familiar hazel eyes as his, but the emotion fades away quickly like it was never there.
"You don't understand, she's ruining my family, I can't have her and my family too, I had to choose, but you are alone" She pleads with him while looking tired, like she has been fighting a battle.
"You should have aborted her, when the time was right." He says with a sudden coldness in his voice, but there was a tiny flicker of emotion as he discreetly gulps.
Shehnaaz was standing quietly, she doesn't understand anything that has been said right now, but even her little self Knew it was something related to her, something heartbreaking.
"Just go" He sighs heavily leaving the will to battle anymore. Shehnaaz's mother looks up with wide eyes filled with hope, and then she went out of the large wooden door without giving a back glance.
Shehnaaz ran behind her mother, grabbing her hand, "Mommy are we going back?" her mother jerks her hand away from her hold and says, "I'm going, you aren't coming back with me"
"Mommy but what would I do here? Why are you leaving me here?" Shehnaaz was now crying loudly as she tried to grab her mother's hand, but her mother pushes her away.
"This is now your home now Shehnaaz" She said as she opens the car door, but Shehnaaz hugs her waist while crying loudly.
"pl-pl-please, m.. Mm.. Mumma don't lea... L. Leave me..he..he.here, I want veere and D.. Di., I wil..will b.. Be a good girl.. Please.. Please" Shehnaaz pleads with her mother, she slides down at the ground on her mother's feet.
Her mother looks at her, with tears streaming from her eyes, she softly places her hand on her head.
She wished she didn't have to do this to her daughter, she wished their circumstances were different, she wished she didn't have to break her child's little heart.
She knew she wasn't the best mother, hell she wasn't even a normal mother to her daughter, she has always been cold and indifferent towards her, but Shehnaaz's love for her has always been the same, always been constant.
Unconditional.
She sobs as she thinks how much she has hurt her own daughter and how much pain she had to endure when she leaves her here. She can never forget what she has done to her, this will haunt her forever.
She pushes her away, Shehnaaz holds her feet tightly, while pleading heartbreakingly.
"please.. Don't leave me" She keeps on repeating, even when her mother pushes her forcefully, even when she drops on the ground, her face red from crying so much, she keeps on saying "Don't leave me" even when she hiccups, even when her mother sits in the car and starts it, she kept on screaming for her mother to come back even when the car drove away, she keeps saying the same words even when car disappears behind the large iron gates.
She stayed there on the ground, curled in herself while clutching her soft bunny, tears streaming down her face and she keeps on murmuring the same blasted words.
"Don't leave me" She whispers as her eyes looking at one direction, while her little body shudders with tremors.
Meanwhile her father was looking out of the tall windows of his cold castle, looking helplessly at the little bundle lying on his long cobbled driveway.
