Y/n's POV:
I watched the sunrise from my place on the roof, letting my shoulders relax. I took a deep breath and slid off the roof, balancing on the banister before jumping down silently.
I walked through my room and into the hallway, slid down the banister, and jumped to the floor. Phil was already making breakfast and Techno was reading in a large chair in the living room. A pile of books were stacked beside him, probably already finished.
Phil noticed me first. "Good morning, Y/n!"
I smiled softly, taking a deep breath of the cooking food and my smile grew. Walking into the living room, I sat on the couch and picked up a book with a plain black cover from the stack.
Techno briefly glanced up, before looking back at his book. Now that I was closer, dark circles were visible beneath his eyes.
I lowered my voice to a whisper before asking, "Didn't get much sleep?"
A slight incline of his head confirmed my thoughts. I could tell that he wasn't reading the book because his eyes weren't tracing the words. They had stayed glued to one spot in the book, as if he was lost in thought.
My eyebrows furrowed slightly. "You seem to have a lot on your mind. Would you like to talk about it?"
His eyes widened a minuscule amount before returning to his blank expression.
"I'm just thinking about random things."
I hummed, not totally convinced but deciding not to press further. I opened the book I had grabbed and started reading.
Techno's POV:
I had to give it to her, the kid is perceptive. She was quick to notice small things that not even Phil or Wilbur would catch. In truth, I did have a lot on my mind. The biggest thing being our family friends visiting.
They weren't coming all at once because Phil and I decided that it would be too overwhelming for the kids considering they just got settled in. It was decided that they would come in pairs and a couple days would separate their visits. Once the kids get used to them, they will most likely visit more often.
I put the book I wasn't reading down and stood up. Out of the corner of my eye I see Y/n glance up from her book before returning to reading.
"Breakfast is ready!" Phil calls, plating the food. "Y/n, please go wake Tommy and Wilbur."
I noted that she tensed and bit her bottom lip at the mention of Tommy. It was oddly suspicious and sort of worrying.
Nevertheless, she marked her page, closed the book, and hurried upstairs. I shook it off, headed towards the table, and sat down in front of my plate.
"Have you noticed that neither of the kids are eating much," I asked quietly.
Phil's expression became serious, something that rarely happens. "Yeah, I did. However, it might just be that they don't normally have three full meals a day and are not used to it yet. We can't jump to any conclusions."
I nodded, closing my eyes.
Incoming footsteps alerted both of us of the kids and Wilbur coming down the stairs, putting a halt to our conversation. Wilbur, Y/n, and Tommy each took a seat. I noticed the small grimace Tommy made when he saw the food. Phil's expression said that he saw it too.
I watched as Y/n reached behind him and rubbed his back in comforting circles without looking at him. My expression softened at the interaction. It reminded me of Wilbur and I's relationship when we were younger. I glanced at Phil who had a soft smile on his face.
"So, aren't Niki and Eret coming over today?" Wilbur asked, excitement shining in his chocolate brown eyes.
I hummed and Phil nodded. I saw Y/n tense and pale slightly as Tommy repeated her earlier actions and rubbed her back. Maybe she wasn't comfortable around a lot of people.
The rest of the time was in a comfortable silence, everyone lost in their own thoughts. After everyone finished their food, we all went our separate ways to get ready.
Y/n's POV:
Tommy and I dashed upstairs to get ready for the people coming over. If I'm being completely honest, I have a 'minor' case of social anxiety, but it's not like I'm the only one.
Anyways, I said a quick farewell to Tommy and made a beeline for the bathroom. After showering, I put on one of my favorite outfits that we bought from the store yesterday and brushed my hair.
I still have time to waste, I thought, looking at the clock that read: 9:21.
I flopped onto my bed and thought about what to do to cure my boredom. An idea suddenly clicked and I jumped off my bed, almost slipping in the process. I bolted down the hallway with a large smile on my face, straight to Wilbur's room.
I knocked and waited for a couple seconds before the door swung open. He looked down at me with a confused smile on his face and an arched eyebrow.
"Hey Y/n! What's got you so excited?"
"You mentioned that you play guitar, so I was wondering if I could borrow it," I said, hands linked behind my back.
"Yeah, sure I'll go get it," He said, disappearing from my view for a couple seconds before returning with a beautiful guitar.
I gently took it from his hands, holding it with extreme care, like I would with any other guitar. "Thanks, Wilbur!"
I scurried back to Tommy's room and opened the door with my foot. He was sitting on his bed, fully dressed with damp blonde hair. I walked in and plopped down next to him. He seemed to be lost in thought because he jumped when I sat down.
"Are you okay, Tommy? You seem rather jumpy," I said, frowning.
He smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'm fine, N/n. Don't worry."
I looked down to the guitar in my hands and began strumming a soothing tune. The same one I would strum when Tommy was upset or stressed. He noticed this and a ghost of a smile graced his lips as he leaned back into pillows. The corners of my lips pulled into a soft smile and I closed my eyes.
I strummed for at least fifteen minutes before deciding to finally ask Tommy about what had him so stressed since I believed he calmed down a little.
"So, what's got you stressed?" I asked softly while continuing to play the guitar with my eyes closed.
He didn't answer for a while so I opened my eyes, curious as to why he didn't answer. I glanced over at my brother, noticing that his eyes were closed and his breathing pattern was deep and steady, indicating that he had fallen asleep.
We still have time before those people come, so he has time to rest for a bit.
I decided to stay in his room and continue playing as it helped me relax as well.
Phil's POV:
I walked past Tommy's room to find Wilbur when I heard soft strumming.
Why is Wilbur in Tommy's room? Maybe they're getting along or bonding.
I smiled at the thought of either of those. I peeked into the room and what I saw surprised me. Y/n was playing the guitar and Tommy was laying next to her. The tune she was playing was calming and slow, a perfect stress reliever in my opinion.
Wait a minute, this melody is definitely meant to relieve stress so does that mean Tommy was upset and she is helping him?
A warm smile made its way onto my face as my heart softened. Slowly, I watched as Tommy's shoulders relaxed and his eyes fluttered closed.
A/n: It's been awhile, hasn't it? Well, I'm finally back and ready to continue the story of you and Tommy. This chapter took a while because of my loss of motivation, busy schedule, and writer's block.
(I will not be using real names in this story because some MCYT's don't like people referring to them with their real names!)
I'm thinking of writing a Technoblade x OC story set in a royal AU, so please let me know if you would be interested in reading that! (I will finish this story before starting the next one)
Thank you for over 69k reads, 155 followers, and almost 3k votes!
I want to thank you all for giving me the motivation to continue writing this story! Have a good morning, afternoon, or night and eat, drink water, and relax!
