𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲:
"Old man, why do we have to go on such boring missions?" Naruto frowned being the baby he was, "All we have been doing is east missions that anyone could have done! I want something more exciting and dangerous!"
Well what Naruto said was true. All they have been doing was saving cats that were lost and pulling out herbs from the garden, such simple tasks for ninjas. Sakura, Sasuke, Misa and Naruto, all four of them were urging to do an exciting mission that would seem much more interesting unlike the boring ones.
"Don't ask the Lord Hokage such things. You kids are still beginners. Beginner Genins like you are supposed to do mission ranks of D. Experienced Genins are supposed to mission ranks of C and Chunis go on mission ranks B. Jonins and the ANBU go on mission ranks A and S. Even with Misa's weak body, do you think I can send her with you?" yelled Iruka scolding Naruto and his fatherly instincts kicking into place.
"Don't drag Misa's sickness into this. She is strong I know that!" protested Naruto huffing angrily.
Sasuke's eyes widened when he heard that Misa had a weak body. That pretty much explained as to why she couldn't control her powers much. Well not like he cared about that. He wanted Misa for one thing. He just needed her to restore his clan.
"You two stop it. Alright then, I will give you a mission. That's to escort a certain person safely to his destination," the Hokage state's, "Come in."
The four kids cheered in triumph as they expected a Hugh ranked princess or some noble to enter but were extremely disappointed when they saw an old, drunk man standing against the doorframe. Kakashi too was disappointed since he had been sick of doing all these low ranked missions. After all he was Jounin, he was trained to do high ranked missions.
"This man is Tazuna. You will have to accompany that man who is a master bridge builder to the Land of Waves," The Hokage introduced the drunkard to the kids.
"Tsk, kids are guarding me? Are you sure we are the people who wouldn't have to guard that pale girl?" mocked Tazuna laughing at Misa and chugging on his beer bottle.
"Shut your trap, old man. Don't disrespect her; at least she's a proud shinobi who can protect herself unlike you who needs protection from us. Who the hell you are even?" Sasuke argues immediately defending Misa who smiled thankfully at him. Kakashi then smacked Sasuke's head yelling at him to not disrespect their client whilst Sasuke paid no heed to those words.
"Hmm I see, Sasuke is developing feelings for Misa. What an interesting thing, will they end up in love or in a heartbreak?" thought the Third Hokage.
"We have to escort a drunken old man?" How boring," Naruto whined laying on the floor.
"Who is dumb looking shorty?" inquired Tazuna snickering at Naruto who laughed too not expecting him to be the dumb looking shorty Tazuna was referring to. Even worse he never expected him to be the shortest boy in the group even shorter than Sakura only beating Misa by two inches and Naruto was the only one in the room with a dumb looking face. When Naruto realized that he tried to attack Tazuna only to be held back by Kakashi who begged Naruto to not kill their one and only client, "Anyways shall we depart? I don't want to go to my village late!"
The four kids and their assigned teacher left the gates of Konoha escorting Tazuna to his respective village and destination. The sun was burning brightly in the sky with not a single cloud visible with a light shade of blue painted in the sky. Misa rolled up her long sleeves of her kimono feeling a bit of the heat at the rays of the sun that directly hit her pale skin. Sasuke gritted his teeth trying to push away Naruto from his way. He wanted to be closer to Misa so why the hell was Naruto annoying him by walking in between him and Misa? He desperately needed to be closer to Misa so he could feel the sweet fragrance emitted from her pale, delicate skin. That scent that consisted of flowers, blossoms and honey, how he'd like to feel it again but that damned Naruto was in his way. Kakashi silently smiled at Misa who was in her own world staring at the forest and the world outside the gate of Konoha. He knew Misa had never been outside the gate of Konoha unlike Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. The Hokage has actually prevented her from going out because when Naruto and Misa were in their mother's womb, Naruto had been sucking all of the important energy from their mother not even leaving a single bit for Misa. Due to that reason Misa was a little weaker than a normal human being. However there was nothing stronger than her will power and determination to be a great shinobi. Misa had never thought the world outside the village was this beautiful. There were different types of flowers and animals she had never seen in Konoha.
"You are from the Land of Waves right?" interrogated Kakashi.
"What about it?" asked back Tazuna.
"Kakashi-sensei, are there ninjas in the ya country too?" Sakura voiced her doubt.
"There are no ninjas in that country but the culture and customs of other countries may be different, hidden villages and ninja do exist," explained Kakashi but Misa being Misa didn't understand a single word of what he said. Sasuke noticing her doubt proceeded into explaining what Kakashi had said in simpler manner.
"Misa to many countries that exists on this land, the existence of ninja villages is equivalent of the country's military powers. That's how they are able to maintain the relationship with neighboring countries. On a small island like the Land of waves where it is difficult to be influenced by other countries there is no need for a ninja village. Ninja villages act differently from country to country, informed Sasuke trying to bear the urge of squashing Misa's chubby cheeks that turned even rounder when her mouth shaped in to an 'Oh understanding Sasuke even better than she had understood Kakashi, " Anong countries that have a ninja village, the five countries of fire, water , lightening, wind and earth occupy a large mass of land and their powers are immense. They are known as the Five Great Ninja Powers of which the dear land of fire is Konoha, our village and hometown. Each of the above countries have their own leader who is only allowed to carry the name of 'Kage". Hokage, Raikage, Mizukage, Kazekage and Tsuchikage, they are known as the 'Five Kages."
" Wow you are well informed Sasuke," Misa praises the boy who smirked in response. He was of course extremely proud to be praised by Misa, " Now that I check your eyes, they are so beautiful Sasuke."
Sasuke get a jolt in his heart followed by a tinge of excitement. Misa was so naive, she didn't realize the beast she was provoking. Kakashi noticed the blush evident on Sasuke's face and realized if he didn't interfere Sasuke would have done something inappropriate. Kakashi swiftly slipped in between Misa and Sasuke, grabbing Misa's hand in his raising his eyebrows as a sign of warning Sasuke not to do anything rash and shatter Misa's innocence. He knew Misa was just complimenting Sasuke but he was even sure about the fact of the growing attraction that Sasuke had for Misa. Sasuke was an avenger who just wanted to revive his clan. Did Sasuke really think that Kakashi was going to let Sasuke do as he pleased with Misa? Kakashi distracting Misa from Sasuke started a conversation with her ignoring the inner battle he was having with Sasuke who gave Kakashi a death glare since he destroyed the lovely moment he had with Misa. The boy clicked his tongue wand walked forward ignoring Kakashi.
" A water puddle!" exclaimed Misa trying to jump into it only to have her arm roughly grabbed by Kakashi, "Kakashi-sensei why?"
" Do you want to dirty your clothes?" If we get late from our journey we'd have to stay in the village and you'd have to wear those clothes. Don't be reckless Misa!" Kakashi scolded the young girl who hugged in annoyance whilst Naruto snickered at the sight of Misa getting scolded for the first time.
Suddenly Kakashi pushed away Misa to the corner whilst he got bind with shuriken- laced chains by two enemy ninjas. They pulled on the chains and ripped Kakashi apart making blood splatter on the floor. All Misa could do was stare at the scenery in horror. How could he just get killed like that? It didn't even take a moment for him to die. Were these ninjas going to kill her and the others too? Misa felt a fearful tug in her heart as Naruto and Sasuke pushed Misa behind them with Sakura protecting the girls from trouble. The enemy duo turned on Naruto who had visibly frozen up in fear, planning to attack him but luckily Misa pushed Naruto making him evade the ninja attacks. The two enemy ninjas grabbed their shuriken laced chains and tried to strike Misa who felt like her body had grown heavier and couldn't move or evade the attack.
"Misa, watch out! You bastard get away from my sister!" barked Naruto angrily.
At that point she couldn't even remember even a single technique she had learned in the academy. Fear laced her whole body, she didn't want to die but the bloodlust coming from the two men were too much for her. Sasuke rapidly took action. He jumped high in the air and took aim at the chain throwing a shuriken and a kunai at it piercing the chain to the tree. The twin ninjas tugged on the chain only to get smacked by Sasuke who threw Misa over his shoulder and dashed back to safety. The two enemy ninjas separated their ways, one going for Naruto and the other going to attack Sakura who was protecting Tazuna. Sasuke dashed back in front of Sakura protecting their escort and the girl whilst Misa was still on his shoulder helpless. The enemy approached Sasuke pointing his sharp claws towards Sasuke's chest in hopes of piercing his heart but Misa thankfully used her power in time thinking upon the situation.
"Ice shield," she declared as one shield made of ice appeared before them making the man's arm stuck in the ice while the same thing happened to the guy in front of Naruto. Sadly Misa's technique didn't last long. The ice dissolved into the floor leaving the two men smirking at what had just happened but they didn't get to smirk for any longer since Kakashi appeared and defeated the enemy duo effortlessly tying them up against the tree.
"Misa, Sakura are you alright?" asked Kakashi making the two terrified girls nod their heads. Sasuke tolled his eyes muttering that Kakashi was such a show off. Naruto stood in the corner realizing that he hadn't been able to do anything to protect their escort. Heck, he couldn't even protect his owns sister. That was the time Naruto understood the difference between him and Sasuke. Gritting his teeth, Naruto decided he was going to surpass Sasuke.
"Hey are you alright, Mr scaredy cat?" Sasuke mocked with his signature smirk.
"Naruto don't move. Your scratch on your wrist it has been poisoned," added Kakashi whilst Misa rushed to her brother tearing a pet of her kimono and pressing it to his wound. Sasuke saw the scenario and rolled his eyes once again. He wanted Misa doing it for him after all he was the one who saved her but there she was tending to Naruto as if he was her savior. What a joke.
"Sasuke thank you for saving me," Misa expressed her gratitude by bowing her head a bit. Sasuke simply raised the girl's face and flicked her forehead making it a bit red while Misa rubbed her forehead pouting only for their discussion to be interrupted by Kakashi who jumped in to it.
"Misa so you know how I suspected it was an ambush?" Kakashi distracted Misa's attention from Sasuke who once again clenched his fingers in rage. Kakashi was interfering with too much with his plans, "I used the body replacement technique to the initial attack. I was ready since the start because I saw the puddle. Puddles don't form on sunny days, stupid. That is why I asked you not to jump into the puddle."
"Why did you take so long to help young man?" Tazuna yelled shivering.
" I could have defeated them quickly but I had to know who the it target was. The target was you," Kakashi pointed out, " If you told us that you were being hunted by ninjas the mission would have been B-ranked or even higher. A different team would have been assigned, look at them; they aren't capable of defeating Jounins and Chunins at the moment."
"Nii-san what are you doing? Please don't hurt yourself," screamed Misa rushing to aid Naruto who had been plunging a kunai deep into the wound.
"Misa I vow today that I will become stronger and stronger and become better than the Hokage and I will protect you from any harm. I will never run away from a mission or fight. You won't have to depend on Sasuke after that," declared Naruto lettuce the blood flow out soiling the ground, " I took out the poison."
"We will see about that, Scaredy-cat," teased Sasuke before walking away from Naruto whose hand was getting treated by a panicking Misa who couldn't stop the wound.
"How stupid can you get Naruto? I'm pretty sure this is going to hurt afterwards," Kakashi scolded Naruto grabbing Misa's cloth and wrapping it around Naruto's wound tightly.
"Is he going to die?" wept the innocent girl to which Sasuke and Kakashi tried to stifle their laughter and Naruto boasted about how it would take much more to kill him.
" Hmm I see the wound is already closing. This must be the power of the demon fox inside Naruto before looking at Sasuke with Misa and Sakura accompanying Tazuna, " I have to stop Sasuke getting closer to Misa. He'd just use her to revive the clan and break her completely but Misa's too fond of Sasuke."
He then looked at Misa who was laughing at Naruto who was putting up Sasuke, " No, no those two can't ever be together ever. Misa can never be with Sasuke."
