Is this what I am now? I never wanted any of this...hell, what I want doesn't cange what I did, and with my own hands at that! Oh God, it's all my fault. I don't deserve him. And even if I did, he deserves so much better.
Katsuki, crouched on the ground and hands gripping his hair, watched Izuku cry over his newly destroyed notebook. Even from where he sat around the corner of the entrance gate, he could see the charred cover. Blackened pieces falling off from being burned then thrown without care in to the cold water of the fountain.
By now, he has been bullying Izuku for a good 10 years. Ever since his father left him and his mom, Mitsuki has been extra rough on him.
He still remembers when his moms scolding slaps upside the head where light and playful, strict yet filled with concern for him and his future. Now, it was like she'd get onto him for a single speck of dust on the floor, the slaps coming down on him harder and so frequent that he has a constant sting on the back of his head. When she teases him, her words have a venom in them that make them burn as if someone injected boiling water into his bloodstream. It's a lot more painful than he'll ever let on, but he doesn't think he minds much anymore.
The day his father left, he went out to play with his friends, including Izuku, right after his mother and father had their argument. He had been trying to stop them from arguing when his mother slaped him and he fell, only for his dad to reach out to help him as she screamed at him. He didn't take it though. Instead, he ran out of the house barring his teeth at everyone, tears threatening to fall but never succeeding, only calming down when he reached his friends.
They were marching down a fallen tree over a small creek, when he fell. Izuku immediately came running, offering his hand to him. He was going to accept the helping hand when he flinched, his mothers words suddenly rushing thorough his head.
"SHUT UP, YOU'RE IN THE WAY! PICK YOUR ASS UP AND GET THE HELL OUT! BEGGING IS JUST PROOVING HOW WEAK AND USELESS YOU ARE! JUST GO AWAY! LEAVE!"
Bakugou clutched his hands closed. Izuku, "ARE YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME?!" He screamed at him, pushing him to the side. "I DON'T NEED YOURE HELP, I'M NOT WEAK YOU STUPID DEKU!"
The look on Izuku's face made Kastuki's heart throb. He looked shocked, his eyes wide and glossy from how his words had hurt him.
Izuku is such a cry baby. Why is mom so nice to him and not to me? I'm her son, not stupid Deku! He's the weak one, crying just because he got yelled at! I'm stronger and better! So why does she hate me but love him?!
"You're in the way!" She says!
"You're weak and useless!" She says!Well how come she never told Deku to- "JUST GO AWAY!"
Izukus quiet whisper of "Okay Kacchan" is what brought him back to reality and out of his thoughts.
He hadn't meant to repeat his mothers words, he was just angry! He hadn't meant them!
Katsuki stood there bellow the log as Izuku got up and ran away, the laughs of the two other boys keeping him from actually thinking about what he'd done.
They seem happy, he thought, looking at the boys standing and pointing at where Izuku had ran off, smiles wide, Should I be happy too?
Unfortunately that's how the bullying started. Bakugou forcing his pain onto Izuku, only finding comfort in the laughter of the others, only to feel worse in the long run but ignoring it.
Over the years he realized how bad it was, how awful he was being to his only real friend. Even if the boy never gave up or backed down no matter what he did or said, it didn't change the ever growing pains he felt for him.
Now, if he thought about it, Izuku is probably the strongest person he knows. But, after doing it for so long and no one having told him to stop or giving him a proper alternative, he didn't know any other way to cope.
So here he is. Watching as the boy he admires cries. If he could, he would stop doing this to him. He'd stop torturing the boy with his existence, leave him alone so he can be happy, but he doesn't know how anymore. It hurts him just as much as he knows it actually hurts Izuku.
As he walks home by himself, after telling off the idiot's that follow him around everywhere, he starts thinking. Wich is never a good thing for anyone to do when they're alone.
Maybe my mom is right, I am useless. I don't belong here. I only ever make things worse, or turn them bad, or just flat out get in the way. I should just take my own advice and take a swan dive off a roof.
Shedding a few tears only to furiously wipe them away, Bakugou kicked a random can, releasing a dark green liquid from. Surprised, Bakugou walked up to the strange goop and poked it with his foot, only to have it latch on to him.
"You....you will make a great vessle."

Izuku wasn't going to lie to himself, it hurt when Kaachan told him to take his own life, even if he didn't mean it. It hurt even more when he burned his favourite notebook filled to the brim on how Kastuki's quirk works, his personality, his favourite things, just everything Izuku knows and loves about him that wouldn't put the boy in danger if someone happend upon it.
Izuku had also just been told he couldn't be a hero by his idle, the one and only Allmight. All because he didn't have a quirk. But, if he was being honest, he didn't really care about Allmights opinion in the first place. The only opinion he cared about was Kaachans.
In fact, the only reason he even idolized almight is because Kacchan once told him that almight is the best and, if Kacchan says he's cool he must be!
Ever since his best friend had started bullying him, Izuku had allowed it. He'd stop him from hurting others, but didn't really care much if Kaachan caused him pain, because he understood.
He found out about the Bakugous home life when Katsuki had missed school the day after he'd first been pushed away.
Izuku went to give him his home work and notes for the day, and had seen what the boy was going through. Mitsuki, his mothers friend, had been holding a bottle and slammed it next to Kaachan, breaking it in the process. Katsuki just sat there, face stoic, taking every word that came out of her mouth like a champ. Only to smile at the end when she sat on the couch, falling asleep.
Throughout that scene, Izuku didn't see a rampaging Mitsuki and a noncaring Katsuki. He'd looked at their faces, their eyes.
Aunty looked less mad, and more sad, regretful, pained. Her brows closed together with an arch in the center as if afraid, her eyes glossy and red, the rims looking to be puffed and uncomfortable.
Katsuki though, he's what had Izuku entranced. His hands would twitch anytime her voice would raise any louder or if she'd take a step closer. His brows would pinch for a second in what he thought to be fear only to go back to a calm resting position just as quikly. His eyes glossy as well, but the look in them was different. Out of all the emotions he knows his friend was feeling in that moment, confidence and determination were dominating them all.
That was the first time he thought his friend was pretty.
Izuku stood stock still, too immersed in the moment to notice the boy stand up and walk to the side of the couch, brushing Mitsukis hair out of her face.
All he had said was, "Goodnight mom. Get some rest." The quiet whisper seemed so fragile to Izukus ears.
When Katsuki started to head towards the door, Izuku panicked, and sat the envelope with the work sheets and notes on the porch and ran.
Ever since that day, he'd stopped him from doing anything to other kids and just let Katsuki do as he pleased to him and him alone. He knew how much he was hurting. Izuku had gone through the same, just a lot earlier than Kachan. He barely remembered his father now and didn't really care either. His mom is all he needs.
Ah, I got lost in thought again. Izuku thought as he made his way down and out of the building.
So, instead of dwelling on the words Allmight said, he simply ignored them and continued to journey throughout the city. That is, until he heard explosions and saw the newly crowed street.
"DIE!!!"
Izuku new that scream. He shot his head around, only to see the slime monster that had encased him previously, attempting to consume Katsuki. His body moved before he could think
He ran.
Izuku didn't know what came over him, but he forged on anyway. He was terrified. That ugly slime was hurting Katsuki, his Kacchan. As he got closer to the villian, his fear disappeared and was gradually replaced with anger. Why aren't the heroes doing anything?! He cant breath!
"Hey, kid! Stop where you are! It's to dangerous!"
Izuku turned his head and glared at the hero who was just standing there doing nothing to save the only person other than his mother he cared for. He kept running, not seeing the man flinch at his gaze.
Think! He yelled in his head. He was only around twenty feet from the villian when he finished a half decent plan, quikly taking out pencils from his backpack and throwing them at the villians eyes, successfully hitting the vulnerable organ. He quickly ran towards Katsuki holding out his hand.
Their eyes met.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He couldn't breath. His desperate attempts at freeing himself with his explosions were proving fruitless and he was starting to lose hope on getting out. That is until he locked eyes with Deku.
In the split second his mind caught up with the situation, he felt conflicted. At first, he was angry, his mind screaming Why is Deku here?! Only to then be replaced with worry.
With all the explosions he was setting off, he might hurt him, But why is he so God damn close!? He's gonna get himself hurt anyway!
Then Izuku reached out for him, the desperation that filled his eyes sending a chill down Katsukis back. He reached out, brushing only fingers at first, but then there hands collided.
"Kachan! Aim your explosions at his eye!"
And he did. I have too much trust in this nerd, he thought as the slime began to recede from his arms.
"Good! Now, on three, aim behind you. Dont stop setting off those explosions!" Izuku said, planting his feet in the dirt and grabbing hold of under Bakogous arms.
"One,"
Katsuki aimed.
"two,"
They locked eyes once more, focusing only on the other, to caught up in there moment to even bother with thinking of the other people around.
All they really needed was eachother anyways.
"three!"
Katsuki let his quirk do it's thing, the villian violently convulsing with each new blow. Slowly, the slime came off, it receeded until it only clutched onto shoulders and the lower half of his legs.
But even with it only barely clinging on, Katsuki started to panic. His vice hold on Izukus arm strengthening. He held on with everything he had.
Even though he didn't want to admit it, he was scared.
