The Color Blue

I didn't wanna be here, especially after I spotted the couple dancing happily around the dance floor. She was so proud of their love, so proud of the beautiful color they formed. Something I made people understand was that it wasn't Billies fault at all. But deep down I wondered why she didn't push the grey away, why she let my color of yellow dim, why she didn't color our color blue. "You're staring" I heard a voice from behind me, "why do you care?" I asked looking at the tall boy who was known for the beautiful music he made with his guitar. "Because people are staring" he mumbled before handing me a water bottle. It took me by surprise when the substance in the bottle was strong, I didn't say anything because the substance allowed my colors to dim and it wasn't an overpowering feeling. Although my colors weren't bright they were dim, they were there and made themselves known especially when I saw her and our beautiful blue was highlighted outside of the new color she formed. My heart hurt even more when our song played on the speaker and I took a chug of the bottle before handing it back to him, "where are you going?" He asked, "I'm leaving" I said grabbing my bag. "I'll come with" he said and he followed me out. Calum was known for disappearing, disappearing to write beautiful music. We stood outside waiting for an Uber when I turned to look at him. "Make me disappear" I whispered and he only nodded and took out his phone.
Although I should've called home, I should've told Conan or Maya I didn't. I tossed my phone into a lake and was in New York with Calum. Because although we didn't love each other he made the colors go away and made the grey disappear for a moment. New York was filled with beautiful colors, I loved it because none of the colors reminded me of her. I woke up and noticed the naked boy laying next to me, "cal were going to miss our fight" I mumbled and he groaned. He smiled and pecked my lips, two weeks changes a lot. It changed his color and mine. "I'm not ready to go home" he said, "why can't we stay here" he groaned. "Because you promised my mom you would take me back" I said and he rolled his eyes before getting out of bed and headed to the shower.
