A/n: I love the mommy issues chapters more then I should.
T/W: Mild cursing
"Is there something wrong? Did the school call you or some-" I stand up and walk over slowly, my arms crossed.
"N/n, sweetie I think You need to sit down for this." Her tone changes, it's sweet, nurturing, worried...
"Mom?" I responded in a worried tone.
"Y/n just sit down." She guides me to my bed with her hand attached to my shoulder. She takes the chair from my desk. Sitting opposite of me as she takes a deep breath and clears her throat.
"Fine..." I finally give. My frustration seeping out of my words.
"Honey, I... I can't do this anymore-" She doesn't look me in the eyes, her head is tilted downwards and her hands fall limply from her lap.
"Do what?" I respond strictly, a stark contrast to her choice of voice. I lean forward from my spot on the bed.
"Let me finish." She looks up at me, her eyes are slightly glazed but I couldn't give a fuck. "I leave early to get to work on time and get home late. I never did this before and we both hate it. Everything has turned upside down lately and I know it's taken a toll on you. It's taken a toll on me too. I didn't want to tell you at first but it's inevitable. I got the promotion which also means a different workplace..So now, the best thing for the both of us is to move."
"What!" I stand up, she stands up slowly and lands her hands on my shoulders. "You can't do this now! You turn my world upside down and decide the best thing is to make it worse!"
"Y/n you're not listening to me. We have to. Neither of us can go on like this. Do you really want me to just leave you here, by yourself?"
"I won't be! I have Dad a-and Pops and-"
"Sweetie, I'm sorry but you're my kid, my responsibility. I can't just dump you into their laps and tell them to take care of you. I know you spend time there often but legally I just can't leave you-"
"I'm leaving!" I stand up and start to the door but not without hearing her thunderous voice.
"Y/n M/n L/n! Get back here right now!"
"No!" I storm out of the room grabbing my jacket from the desk. Knocking over my notebooks and papers. I reach the front door and escape to the outside world. Not exactly sure where my feet were going to take me next. However one thing I knew was that the tower was a perfect refuge. I headed to the subway and found myself only a few blocks away. I exited the subway and reached the top of the stairs. Still a bit tired from the run here. I wiped my now dry tears and approached the front door. Employees could be seen walking around and staring at me intensely.
"Ms. Y/n, it is nice to see you, are you searching for anyone in particular?" Friday asked, a bit more human than normal. The inflexions in the animated voice and emotions could be heard lingering in each nuance of the words. I scanned the crowd speedily, not exactly sure what I was doing here. "Ms. Y/n?" I could so easily hear the whispers and see their eyes so vividly following my every movement. How my jacket unnecessarily scratched and prodded at my skin. The rapid beating of my heart as if it was attempting to escape the confines of my chest.
"I-uh.. I um- I don't know anymore..."
"Y/n! What're you-fiică your crying.." (Daughter) Dad slowly approached me. "N/n, come here. What's going on inside that head of yours?"
"I don't wanna go.."
"You're not going anywhere. Not if I have anything to do about it. Come on..."
We walked into a private section of the penthouse via the private elevator. The ride up was silent, but not awkward or uncomfortable.
"Wanna talk about it?"
"My mom wants us to move. I don't really have a choice in it..."
"What!" He lets out a deep shout. "But I- we don't-"
"I don't wanna leave you dad, or pops, or Auntie Nat... or Peter or Mj and Ned.. I don't wanna leave."
"We'll get this all figured out. Listen to me fiică I would move mountains for you. I promise you I won't let you leave without a fight."
"Promisiune?" (Promise?)
"Promisiune. Voi face tot ce îmi stă în putință pentru a te ține lângă mine."(I will do everything in my power to keep you by my side)
Pops entered moments later, as if we called for him.
"Friday said N/n was- Y/n what's wrong?" His eyebrows tilted downwards.
"Uh..." I began but quickly lost my voice.
"What happened?"
"Her mom is making them move..." Dad softly explained.
"What. Do.You. Mean...?"
"She's been pushing it off for a while, I think. I-"
"No, your not leaving, we won't let her just-"
"Well there's nothing I can do about it..."

Sooner than I wanted they had gathered together. They aka my Dad, Pops and... my Mom. They decided to use an empty office space located in a more isolated section of the penthouse. We walked in and sat down. Me in the furthest corner curled in a rather large chair for an office. Pops leaning on the table, Dad sitting opposite of him with my mom at the other end of the table sat at the head.
"Can we just.. Talk about it?" Dad asked.
"As long as you two remain civil I don't see why not.."
"Why?" Pops asked.
"I got promoted. And I can't keep leaving Y/n for such long hours."
"Then we could take care of her when you're gone," Dad suggested.
"Look I appreciate the concern but she's my daughter. I was the one who raised her, bathed her, changed the diapers and cleaned after her. And I don't think this environment is safe for her. It'll be a good change. Some safety away from the chaos of New York."
"She has us, hell even the rest of the avengers if she gets in trouble-"
"Well look what happened. She got fucking kidnapped, stabbed for christs sake. I just think a change of scenery, a new environment will be best for her."
"Mom, that's what you said the last time we moved.."
"Well we're heading back! Don't you want to see Cami, or Lizzie?" She tried to persuade me.
"Of course I do but what about Peter and Ned and MJ... what about the life I finally built here. Dad and Pops, Natasha for crying out loud. She's like a cool aunt and Wanda is like the sister I never had. What about them?"
"Y/n you're just a kid-"
"Exactly I'm a kid. I shouldn't have to move on a whim whenever-"
"I'm giving you till the end of june. It's not like I'm pulling you out mid semester. Just after their wedding too. You'll be able to do that then say goodbye."
"Look, M/n. Why won't you let us, let me be able to help out. Maybe share custody if that's what it takes."
"Y/n... let the adults talk please?" My mom asked and had me leave.
I walked out of the office space and towards Peter's room. Finding both him and Ned there, building the final parts of a star wars themed lego set.
"N/n, I didn;t know you were coming over. Wait-what happened with your mom? Did she do something?" I shrugged my shoulders in a pathetic attempt to say yes and no.
"I uh, I-we're. She wants to move. Once the wedding is done and stuff." I sniffled slightly even though I tried my best to hide the fact I was on the edge of tears.
"Wha- but what about us? About your Dads? Ned? MJ?" He questioned as he rushed over to me holding my arms in his wrists. Also on the edge of breaking down.
"You're joking..." Ned asked. I shook my head no. "But... where are you going?"
"Back. Back to Portland.. She tried to convince me. You know about my old friends living there. Cami and Lizzie. I miss them yeah but it's gonna end up the same with you guys here.."
"We'll figure something out. Convince her to let you stay!" Peter practically denied.
"Pete.." He dragged me over to his bed where they had previously sat.
"Here's the plan..."
