I woke up to seeing my newly free, and already injured demon hedgehog. Who was still asleep, his back facing me. His also newly long, and fluffy quills were almost in my face.
Yesterday was a huge day for him. Finally gotten out of the supposed computer he was sent to be trapped in. Having his whole appearance, and body change to a more older, mature look.
But also, running through a forest for hours, encountering a rather angry mother bear, and sustaining large, deep gash wounds all the way down his chest, and the right side of his face.
And somehow, having enough energy to run all the way to me, saving me from getting hit by a car I didn't see. That's when almost all his energy was gone.
But I know one thing for sure, he was going to be sleeping for a good long time. And while he is out, I best getting working on what he loves to steal from me.
My bacon, and pancakes. Specifically the bacon. Hence why I call him my, well... Was the midget bacon stealer, now I suppose it would be... The towering bacon stealer.
Imma have to work on what to call him...
Getting up, and out of bed as quitly as possible, letting the sleeing demon sleep. And walking into my kitchen, to fix our favorite breakfast meal. Getting all the equipment, and foods needed to make it.
I was expecting Exe to soon get his butt out here, or teleport out here once I was in the middle of cooking all this.
I was also going to be expecting a few... Visitors soon as well. It would be no surprise that the would know he would come back here, and they would most likely come here to take him away again.
I wasn't going to let that happen again though. I wont let others take the one I came to love away, despite all his twisted attempts, and death he has cuased.
I know most, or everyone would say he deserves it, but they can't really see that, and understand he has changed.
I'll make sure to slam it into their tiny mind though. Make them understand he means no harm anymore.
The only harm he could do now was just heavily insult someone, or accidentally scratch them. Those claws he has are not to be messed with.
But he can easily hurt someone, or... Protect someone.
Either way, I'll do my absolute best to prove, and show those hero's that he has changed.
Anyways, back to cooking! Everything was almkst done, and ready to eat, or for Exe, to devour.
And I pretty sure he could take larger bites, and rip meat with extreme ease now with his new sharper, and longer fangs.
"Well now, that a heavenly smell I haven't had the pleasure of smelling in two years." The said devilish hedgehog said, leaning on the fridge with a smirk.
"I'm sure you missed it didn't you?" I asked with a slight smile on my face, just now making two plates.
"Oh, I missed more than just your food. That should be obvious." He said walking over to me, thankfully he could walk mkstly normally despite his injuries.
"I could name a whole list of what I missed when I was locked in that Chaos damned computer... But I will spare your ears and cut to the chase. You are the one thing I missed most, top of the list. No if, ands nor buts about it." He said, pulling me in a rather tight, yet warm hug. Right when I finished making the plates.
"I missed you too Exe, so much..." I said, returning the hug back, resting my head as lightly on his chest.
"But, that's enough hugging for now, I've been starved for years!!" He suddenly said, taking one of the place, and making his way to the couch. Leaving me to stand there with rather wide eyes.
"Why you jackass." I said, taking my plate, and walking to the recliner. Giving him a glare, as I sat down and ate. His plate was already halfway gone of food.
"Sweet Chaos it feels good to taste, and rather less eat something so good again." He said, continuing to devour the plate of food with ease, I was already beginning to eat my food.
"I'm sure it does." I said, rather absently minded.
"But I know something that tastes better." He said with half lidded eye, and with a sharp tooth smirk, looking at be with his dimly glowing red irises.
"Really now? And what may that be?" I asked looking kver at him, already done with his plate.
He set down his plate on the table, before quickly lunging at me, gently pulling my head towards him, as his other was around my lower back, as he kissed me gently, yet passionatly.
"You~" He said with a rather... Hot grin.
And to break the sudden moment, there was a knock on the door. Exe looking over at it with a slight snarl.
"I'll get it. I'm pretty sure its, the hero's. But I wont let them take you again, trust me." I told him quietly, getting up, placing my plate on the table.
"I hope you can convince them..." Exe said in a quiet whisper. While I opened the door, revealing Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Silver and surprisingly this time Shadow too.
"Boys." I said, nodding my head to them a bit.
"I suppose you were expecting us weren't you?" Sonic asked.
"Yeah, I suppose you lot are here to take him back to his cage?" I asked with a slight glare.
"No, actually."
"Were here to question you and him actually." Silver said.
"Wait really?"
"Yeah, I saw how Exe was acting around you. In a way I never would thought that he could have, clearly he has changed. But were here just too make absolutely sure." Sonic said.
"Well, at least I don't have to cuss you all out now." I simply said.
"Well... Come on in, I suppose." I moved out of the way, letting the five in my living room. As I made my way to Exe, cause I know he was going to think they were going to take him.
I could already see his muscles tensing up, and the slight snarl turned into a larger snarl, his ears were pinned to his head, as he began growling, ready to claw the shit out of them.
"Easy now Exe. They aren't here to take you away, that only want to question us. Nothing more." I told him quietly in his ear, as he loosened up a bit. But he still held a slight snarl.
"Fine..."
The other five boys took their seats on the couch, barely having enough room to fit all of them. Shadow, and Knuckles resorted to standing however.
"Alright. So first question I have for you is what in the world happened to you? What could of done that much damage to you?" Silver asked first.
"Well, being on low energy, and getting lost and a forest would eventually get you being attacked by a angry mama bear." Exe said rather sarcasticly, sitting down in the recliner, as I stood next to it.
"Yeesh... You get beat up a lot don't you?" Sonic asked.
"I would very much not like to talk about it. Thank you very much, but since I'm older, and way more powerful I dont expect anymore humiliating losses. Especially from the likes of you two." He said, point at Tails and Knuckles.
"I mean... You did deserve it." Knuckles said, as Exe growled at the echidna, while Tails only kept quiet.
"I understand you would never forgive me for all the death I have caused. But can't you see that I have changed?" Exe asked Knuckles.
"Ahem. I advise we try to not bring such things up. For both your guys physical safety, and Exes mental safety." I said.
"If you say so, but I may, I have been wondering about this. During the fight where we were first going to take you away, did you really hold back?" Shadow asked up.
"Yes. I truly did as much as I could. But back then I was still recovering from my first wound. And I was also trying not to hurt you guys to the point it would cause extreme damage."
"But, if anyone was to come after Y/n. They must have a death wish." Exe said rather quietly, as a smile crept onto his muzzle, showing his long, sharp, teeth.
"Almost like any of us if someone was trying to hurt our girls." Knuckles said.
"Expect for Tails, and Silver." Sonic said, him and Knuckles chuckling.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Silver said.
"I mean... It is kinda the truth... I couldn't dare to hurt someone like that." Tails said.
"You did impaled Exe in the eye with a cross though." Knuckles said, and shit was about to go down now, immediately feeling Exes muscles tense up again, but he went stiff with his one eye wide open in rage.
"Uh-oh..."
Exe suddenly disappeared, only to punch Knuckles in his eye. Ironically in the same on he almost lost from Tails.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa now!!" Sonic said, leaning away from the sudden action, as Exe slowly walked over to Knuckles, who was holding his now bruising black eye. Looking down at him with a heavy glare.
"I will not allow you to remind myself of such humiliation, embarrassment and pain. You best be lucky I did take yours out as well." Exe said in a rather low, threatening voice.
"Yeah, we don't talk, or mention any of those moments. There just... Too much for him." I said to the other four.
"I see now... That and Knuckles did kinda deserve it a bit." Silver said, as Knuckles got up again. Exe walking back to the recliner.
"What makes you say that Silver?!" The slightly enraged echidna said.
"You did causing Exe quite a lot of pain when we first came to get him. Not to mention just being way too harsh on the guy." Sonic said, listing off a few main reasons.
"Hey! He deserves to be treated like that! After all he has, and could of done! He shouldn't be trusted, and loved." Knuckles said harshly, crossing his arms.
Exe gripped tightly on the recliners arm rest. Try his best to sustain his newfound rising anger. I tired to calm hi down by petting his quills.
"Again. I understand you would never forgive me for all the death I have caused. But can't you see that I have, and trying changed?" Exe asked Knuckles.
"Hmph. Not good enough for me." Knuckles said. Exe let out a rather vicious growl.
"Was being impaled by a cross in my eye not good enough punishment?" Exe asked in a dead, threatening serious tone.
"What about being punched off Angel Island by you?"
"Being humiliated by being out runned by Eggman, and then stomped on twice by his giant robot, and sent into outer space, with a bleeding wide hole through my whole body?"
"Or, being trapped within a computer for two years, away from the one I truly love?!"
"Is than not enough for you?! I have learned from my many painful attempts, and began to change!! Is that not enough for you to understand?!" Exe yelled out, the blood streaks under his eyes darken, as red tears began to slip from his face. His breathing was heavy, and quick.
"Can't you just see that I am doing the best I can to change what you, and the rest of the world sees me as?"
"I am more than just some creepy knock-off, that commits mass murder. A demon. But you, an many others make it feel like I can't change what I am... No matter how hard I try..." Exe said, going into a more quiet, shaky voice, as his blood tears ran down his muzzle faster.
"Why can't you just see that..." He said, before covering his un-bandaged side of his face with a hand. As small, almost inaudible sobs were heard.
I immediately started to comfort him, rubbing his back, his head, quills, shoulders, while shushing him.
"Shh... Its all right Exe... They might not be able to see, but I do." I told him, and many other similar things. As he leaned his head into my midsection, still covering his face.
"Is he... Alright?" Tails asked up.
"Yeah... He's just very emotional, and frustrated when those kinds of topics are brought up." I told the younge fox, having one arm around Exes back, and on petting his quills.
"He has truly change, and this is proof." I said.
"I honestly didnt think he really had emotions... Besides rage." Silver said.
"I think most of us thought that." Sonic said.
"Oh, he does. But he hides them as much as he can, and tries to be fearless, and terrifying. But... So much pain, and events happened to him, it kinda broke that fearless, and terrifying mask." I told them.
"Okay, well he is still terrifying to some, but the fearless one. Yes."
"Well... I do believe we have an decision. He can stay here with you."
