Bentley's POV
"M-My name is Bentley." I answered, wincing in pain from the kick to the shoulder. Suddenly, I was being picked up and thrown over his shoulder.
"Well Bentley, if you scream I will not hesitate to punch you square in the nose." He grumbled, walking off in an unknown direction. I began crying, very frightened of what could happen to me.
I listened to the sounds around me and heard lots of traffic and talking. Were we downtown? Suddenly, the man dropped me and I waited for a hit that never came.
"What's wrong with you? Is you stupid or somtin'?" The man asked, and the closeness of his voice indicated that he was crouching or kneeling beside me.
"What? No!" I answered bitterly.
"Well whys you look like you don't know what's happenin'?" He asked, flicking my forehead.
"Cause I- Cause I'm blind." I whimpered, allowing the tears to drip from my eyes.
"Alright! I did me some good, then. Let's see what I can do with you." He chuckled, picking me up once more.
Without another word, I was thrown into the air and landing on the asphalt painfully. I stood up on wobbly feet and yelped in terror when a screech and the sound of a car horn seemed to be a mere few feet in front of me. I backed away, only to receive the same outcome.
That man threw me in traffic!
I tried finding my way out, but it seemed impossible. I was almost hit by several cars and nobody got out to see if I was okay.
After several minutes a siren is heard, followed by the sound of screeching tires. A car door opened and slammed closed, and then before I could even blink I was thrown to the ground and locked up in handcuffs.
What the hell is going on?
I was tossed into the backseat of the police car and driven even farther away from where I last seen Lucas.
We arrived at what I'm assuming is the police station, and then I was grabbed by the arm and brought inside.
"What's your name, kid?" The officer asked me.
"Bentley Saros, sir." I answered quietly. I heard a pen scribbling away on a piece of paper before I was brought to a room that was completely silent.
"The captain will be in here in a minute or two." The arresting officer said, closing the door and leaving me all alone. I sighed, knowing that Mom and Lucas are going to freak out. But I guess who wouldn't freak out? I was kidnapped, thrown into traffic, and then arrested.
All within a half hour!
I felt around the small interrogation room until I found a table with a chair on each side. I sat down and waited patiently for the captain to come so I could explain everything to him. Hopefully he'll understand.
The door clicked open a few minutes later, and I heard the officer gasp and bump into the wall. I looked over in his direction and waited for him to come over to me so I could talk. I heard his footsteps approach me and I listened as the huskiest voice I have ever heard spoke to me.
"Bentley Saros? Hello, I'm Officer Nikolai Blue." He introduced himself. I shivered at the power behind his voice, and silently prayed that he didn't notice.
"Hello, Officer. I would like to explain why I'm here." I answered. I heard the chair across from me slide across the floor, and then squeak when he sat down.
"Yes, I would like to know why you were obstructing traffic. Are you drunk, Mr. Saros?" He asked, surprising me.
"No, I've never even drank alcohol before! I was in the traffic because some guy threw me there! I know it sounds crazy, but he took my from my brother's car and then tossed me into the road!" I responded, just now realizing how much this story seems to sound imaginary.
"Oh, I see. Well how did he take you from your brother's car?" Nikolai asked, humor lacing his words.
"Well I opened the door and he threw me on the ground and kicked me in the shoulder." I answered.
"Why did you open the door for a stranger?" He asked, his voice sounding disbelieving.
"I didn't know he was a stranger." I answered, simply. The Captain laughed as if what I had said was the funniest thing in the world. He even slapped the table a few times.
"How do you not know if someone is a stranger or not, Mr. Saros?" He asked, after he finally calmed down from his laughing fit.
"I couldn't see him. I'm blind." I answered, which seemed to stun the officer into silence.
"Blind?" He whispered, voice trembling and sounding almost as if I had personally hurt him.
"Yes, Nikolai. I'm blind." I answered gently.
"Oh, so all of this was just a big misunderstanding, then?" He asked hesitantly.
"Yes, it was. And the worst part is I don't know where my house is because today is pretty much my first day here." I responded. His chair scraped against the floor and he walked over to me.
"Well I can drive you. If you're okay with that, of course." He said, his voice very close to my ear. I swallowed nervously and nodded my head.
Why does this man make me feel so scared?
I felt a warm, no, a hot hand on mine and I was gently pulled up. He wrapped his arm around my waist as he guided me out of the interrogation room. My skin heated up immediately, and I felt as if a pleasurable electricity was shooting from his arm and into my body.
There was a dramatic drop in noise as we walked through the precinct, and I couldn't help but think that it was because of me.
"Watch out, there are a few steps." Nikolai whispered, his nose gently gliding up my neck. I shivered at the sudden feeling and felt all of my blood rush south. If you catch my drift.
Why do I feel like this? What's happening?
I let out a breath and tried to calm myself down. Never in my life had I ever felt like this before, and it scared the shit out of me because this was a man!
I descended the few steps and he helped me get into the car. I was very surprised when I realized that I was in the passenger seat of the car, rather than in the back where all non-officers have to sit.
Nikolai got into the drivers seat and we began driving away from the police station.
"How do you know where to go?" I asked timidly. Jesus, I don't know what it is, but I feel so intimidated by him. It's almost like he carries a high aura of dominance with him.
"Well my family sort of runs this town. I know everything about it." He answered, surprising me.
"If your family runs the town then why are you the Captain of the police?" I asked, curiously.
"Well I'm not exactly a full time worker at the police station." He answered, just as we turned onto another road.
"What else do you do?" I wasn't sure why I was so interested in hearing about this guy, but I didn't try to stop the questions.
"Well I guess you could call me the mayor of this town. I run it, so I'm occasionally at the police department to see what's going on in my city." He answered. I nodded in understanding.
"How old are you? You sound young to be a mayor." I said, then realized that that could have been taken as rude.
"I'm 20. How old are you?" He asked.
"I'm 18." I answered. The car was silent for a few minutes until we pulled into what I'm assuming is my driveway.
His car door opened and then he walked around the car to open mine. His hand clasped around mine as he walked me to the front door. He knocked on it and as soon as it opened the familiar arms of my brother were wrapped around me.
"Bentley, where have you been? I left you in the car for five minutes and I get back to see that you disappeared!" He yelled, clutching onto me tightly.
"Some guy grabbed me from the car and threw me in traffic! Then someone called the police on me so I got arrested!" I answered, huffing in annoyance at my busy night.
"But everything was cleared up after he told me what happened." Nikolai spoke up, and Lucas pulled away from me. He pushed me behind him and I felt his left hand reach back to hold mine lightly.
"Who are you?" Lucas asked, standing in front of me protectively.
"I'm the Captain of the police department of Mount Pleasant. My name is Nikolai Blue." Nikolai introduced himself. His voice seemed pleased about something, but I didn't understand what.
"Oh, well pleasure to meet you. I'm Bentley's older brother, Lucas. I can't thank you enough for bringing him back to me safely." Lucas responded, moving from his stance in front of me so that we were standing side by side.
"Well, this may come off as strange, but I was thinking that maybe this weekend I could show you two boys around and get to know you. I try to know all of the members of my community. It helps everyone feel more accepted." Nikolai spoke, and fuck me if I said I wasn't turned on right now. I felt my cheeks flush, and I mentally scolded myself. I need to stop this, I'm not gay.
"Your community?" Lucas asked in confusion.
"Oh, excuse me. Yes, I am the mayor of Mount Pleasant." Nikolai answered. His voice seemed strained now, almost as if he were holding back from something.
"Look at you, Benny. First full day at our new house and you have to get driven home by the Mayor!" Lucas teased, nudging me in my shoulder with a short laugh.
"Oh hush! It's not my fault!" I whined, turning my attention back to Nikolai.
"Well, Mr. Mayor, I can not make it this weekend, as I have to begin moving my things to my new university dorm. The offer is greatly appreciated though." Lucas answered the lingering question.
"But I can make it!" I blurted, then felt my cheeks heat up even more at the sudden attention turned on me.
"Great. Do you have a cellphone?" Nikolai asked, followed by rustling. I'm just assuming he was digging in his pocket to retrieve his cellphone.
"No. I can't see, why would I have a cellphone?" I asked bitterly.
"Nikolai, why don't you come in? I must excuse myself as I was cooking dinner before you guys showed up." Lucas spoke up.
"Thank you for the offer, but as the mayor I have many duties. I can not stay much longer." Nikolai answered. Lucas kissed my cheek before he left me out here all alone with this very dominant man.
"Well, how does Saturday sound to go out and explore?" Nikolai asked, stepping closer to me. I gulped back the nervous knot in my throat.
"I'm free anytime. I have nothing else to do." I answered, honestly.
"A beautiful thing like you doesn't have a busy schedule?" Nikolai was now close enough to me that I could feel his hot breath on my skin.
"B-beautiful?" I asked, voice shaky. My body trembled slightly at the thought of this scary man looming over me. His hand reached out and caressed my cheek. The contact left tiny sparks shooting though my skin. I leaned forward slightly, my mind clouded with wanting to feel more of these amazing sparks.
"Yes, you are extraordinarily beautiful." He whispered, finally pressing his body against mine. I gasped in surprise at the intense pleasure that I felt. I felt myself getting so aroused that I'm surprised we couldn't smell it or something.
Bentley, calm down. This is a man. You're just oddly horny today. I tried coaching myself back into sanity, but to no avail.
Nikolai's arms were firmly wrapped around my waist as his head moved down and he gently glided his nose up my neck for the second time tonight.
"You smell so good." He groaned, his voice sounding so dark and husky that I seemed to come to my senses.
"Mr. Mayor-"
"It's Nikolai. Please, please call me Nikolai." He begged, continuously gliding his nose up and down the flesh on my neck.
"Nikolai, enough. I'm extremely uncomfortable right now." I said, bringing my hands up to push his chest. He released me and stepped back as he cleared his throat.
"My apologies Mr. Saros." He spoke, his voice seemingly back to normal.
"It- It's okay." I found myself saying. Even though my brain was screaming that that was nowhere near okay!
"I will pick you up at 7:00 Saturday morning for the outing. Have a good night, Mr. Saros." Nikolai said, then walked off.
I was left outside feeling very confused and scared, and not knowing why I liked having him that close to me. I liked how his skin set off little fireworks when it touched mine. But I'm not gay. So that definitely shouldn't have happened.
