His voice was kind of soothing in a way. I felt like I was getting tired? I didn't want to fall asleep in the beginning of detention so I told him...
"Dude shut up I don't want to hear your stupid book."
Travis stared at me for a second, looked back down at his book and read louder.
"Oh my god I hate you Travis"
"Ugh well what do you want me to do here!?"
"I don't know just shut up!"
Travis went silent. I'm surprised he listened to me he never listened to anyone..
But then of course he started talking again he couldn't be quiet for more then 5 minutes.
"UGH IM SO BORED" -Travis
"That's not my problem."
"Well it is now your the one who got me stuck here!"
"Well you were being annoying!"
"No I wasn't!"
"Yes you were-"
I was cut off by a teacher walking through the door.
"Boys stop fighting before I call your parents/parent!"
Travis instantly went silent.
"Call my parents I don't care" I said. I knew knew saying that was stupid but I really didn't want to be here.
"I care!" Travis said
"Okay well I don't!"
"Ugh Larry do you have to make everything into a fight!"
"Guys calm down now."
We both shut up
"You guys have been fighting like this for months and I am tired of it!"
...
"Since clearly detention teaches you nothing you either have to, clean the basement of the school or get along and be buddies for the next high school field trip!"
"WHAT NO THATS UNFAIR HE STARTS EVERYTHING!!!" Travis said
"Travis choose one or I'm calling your father."
"Fine.."
He looked over at me.
"Well which one are you going to choose?" He whispered to me.
"The basements disgusting I guess we can go with the field trip."
Travis didn't look amused but he looked at the teacher and said.
"We pick the field trip.."
