A week has passed by, he never wanted to live so aimlessly, hanging onto his stance, hurting her and mostly himself almost everyday! 🥺
Around a late evening..
"Di..?! Light chali gayi hai kya?".. Niyati calls Sana to check on the power from the washroom..
"Haan baby.. generator will start in a while.. wait kar.."
After a good while..
"Areh Di.. why aren't they restoring the power yaar?! Anyway pass me a charger light.."
"Haan haan.. rukh.. lati hoon!"
"Yeh le..jaldi se bahar aaja..late ho raha hai na?!".. Sidharth's mother is coming over and he is not yet informed about it..
"Haan haan baas 5 min..lekin Di yeh light ko kya hua?"
"Pata nehi.. let me check..you come out fast!"
Sana tries connecting the intercom but fails to get through..
"Yaar..yeh intercom bhi nehi chal raha hai..! Kitna andhera hai..!"
"Di.. kuch pata chala..?".. Niyu comes out..
"Nehi na!"
"Arehh Di ssshhhh ruko!!".. Niyu stops her from speaking further..!
"Can you hear this?!"
"Haan yaar..kuch shor hai na?!"
"Haan Di! I am sure kuch gadbad hai! Security ka number hai aap ke paas?!"
"Haan but I am not sure iska shift kab hai..!"..replies Sana..
"Koi na.. aap number lagao..!"
"Haan karti hoon..!"
She dials the number..
"Haan ji Madam aap log kaha ho?!"..the security receives the call hurriedly..!
"Ghar par hai.. yeh light ko kya hua?!"
"Areh Madam, 6th floor mein aag lagi hai, zyada faili nehi hai abhi tak..lekin hum 5th floor tak sab ko evacuate kar chuke hai aur 6th floor k upar jo bhi hai sab terrace par ja rahe hai..aap log bhi flat bandh karke jao, jaldi!!"
"Kya?!! Aap log pagal ho?! Ab bata rahe ho mujhe?!"... She starts fumbling in fear..!
"Hum log baas call laga rahe the sabko ki aap ne call karliya..ab time waste na karo Madam.. please jaiye upar! Aur jab tak hum na kahe niche maat ana!"
She keeps down the phone hurriedly and holds her sister's hand being all terrified..!!
"Kya hua Di?!"
"Niyu..humein nikalna hoga abhi.. 6th floor is on fire! Hurry up baby...take your phone and power bang..I will look for the key..!"
"Oh My God!!".. Niyati starts shaking vividly in fear..!
"Kuch nehi hoga baby!! Main hoon na..! Chal..!".. she holds her hand into a tight grip and walks off the flat immediately..

On reaching the terrace..
"Tu theek hai na?"..she keeps checking on her sister repeatedly..🥺
"Haan..haan Di! Aap ek kaam karo..aunty ko inform kardo..aur jiju ko bhi.."
"Haan..! Karti hoon..! Tu ghabrana nehi..fire brigade is on the way.. everything will be fine..!".. she holds her into a hug to comfort her fear.. ❤️
"Di main theek hoon..aap call karo aunty ko.."
"Hmmm.."
She dials the number..
"Haan beta? I am almost there.."..she receives..
"Aunty..actually there is a huge problem here.."
"Kya hua bachha?! Sab theek toh hai na?!"
"Haan main theek hoon lekin woh kya hai na our 6th floor is on fire, although it hasn't spread much lekin humlog abhi terrace par hai! I am extremely sorry Aunty! I know it's very awkward!"
"Hey Bhagwan!! Ruko main abhi Sidharth ko call karti hoon!"
"Nehi nehi Aunty! Sidharth abhi ek bohot hi important meeting mein hai..meri baat huyi thi unse kuch der pehle! And if he gets to hear this, he will loose it completely! Don't worry at all Aunty! Fire brigade is on the way, I am sure they will sort it out soon! Main aap ko updates deti rahungi!"
"Nehi beta! This is serious! Main baas pahauch hi rahi hoon..tum log wahi ruko..! I am calling you back!"...she cuts the call and dials Sidharth's number immediately..
Sidharth is fully occupied and obviously not responding therefore she tries calling Mr. Agarwal..
"Haan ji Madam..?"
"Mr. Agarwal aap abhi isi wakt Sidharth ko jaake phone pass kajiye! It's an emergency..!"..his Mom almost trembles in fear!
"Madam sab theek toh hai na?! Sir is on an international call..meeting chal rahi hai!"
"Mr. Agarwal didnt you hear what I said?! it's an emergency!"
"Theek hai Madam..I am calling you back..!"
"Hmm.."..she hangs up and dials Sunil's number thinking of an alternative in absence of Sidharth..

Mr. Agarwal, on the other side tries communicating with Sidharth but he seems to be fully indulged in a serious conversation. He is just too hesitant to interrupt but has no options left either! So he gathers all his courage to knock on his table..
"Sir..?!"
Sidharth hints him to stop..!
He calls him again.."Sir..?! It's an emergency!"
Sidharth turns his face around..
"Sir..Madam called..she asked you to call her back right now..it's an emergency she said!"
"What happened?!"...he murmurs..
"I don't know sir! She only asked me to convey this message to you!"
He turns back to the camera..
"Excuse me for a while Gentleman, I need to call my home..it's an emergency.."
He dials her number..
"Sidharth?!"
"Haan Mom..what happened?! Aap theek toh ho na?!"
"Beta main theek hoon..lekin tu abhi k abhi Sana ko call kar..her building is on fire..!"
"What?!!!!"..he feels an immediate jerk inside!!
"Haan beta..tu call kar usko! Pata nehi kis halath mein hai! Mujhe mana kar rahi thi, bol rahi thi ki tu important meeting mein hai, but I had to call you!"
"Mom she is fine right?!"...his voice starts shaking..!"
"Abhi tak toh theek hai..tu phone kar usko!"
He hangs up and looks back at Swati and Mr. Agarwal being totally perplexed..!
"I have to go..you guys take it over from here..!"...he literally rushes out of the cabin..
He calls her up..
"Hello..?"..her voice shakes...she is too scared to face his fear, for a fact she is aware of the reaction she will witness now..🥺
"Just tell me that you are fine and you will be fine!!"...his vulnerability is finally speaking for his reality..❤️
"I am absolutely fine baby..fire brigade is here..it will all be sorted now! Baas Niyu thodi si darr gayi hai..trying to calm her down..that's it!"
"Aabe drive fast!!"... He screams at his chauffeur..!
"Sidharth calm down! Listen to me!! It's all good now! Thodi der mein hum niche chale jayenge..aap shanti rakho please! I am fine baby!"
He starts loosening the knot of his tie..his anxiety level is reaching heights now!
"Hello...? Sidharth are you there?!"
"Just be on the phone with me.. don't cut the call!"... It is taking a toll on his brain, he is just thinking and overthinking about the chronology of all incidents now!
"Haan haan I will not cut it! Lekin talk to me na!"
"Sidharth..? Are you there?!"
"I love you!"...he feels like he failed in the last one last week and he was not even willing to rectify it! It was never because he didn't feel it but because he swore that he would never say it for her sake only and a man is nothing if he can't keep his promises to himself!! 😥
A curved smile takes over her face, tears clog in her eyes and suddenly everything else seems very invisble to her!
"Tu sun rahi hai na baby?! I love you, a thousand times more and I will never apologize for it!"....his voice almost breaks!
"Ab mujhe kuch nehi hoga! You will get to see your Sana in a while...relax! And yes, I love you too!".. 🥺❤️
