His mouth parts slightly, as if he can't believe I'm standing right in front of him. I stare back wide eyed, in just as much shock.

"What are you doing in my room?" He breaks the silence, playing it off as if he doesn't know me. His room?

My eyes dart quickly between him and the girl before I finally muster enough stability to push between them and get past, "Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt." I growl as I walk hurriedly down the hallway.

"What's your problem, bitch?" The girl's voice echoes with annoyance.

I stop dead in my tracks. All of my anxiety and fear suddenly disperses, anger taking its place. I spin around on my heals but don't take another step. I look to Colby first, who seems to be trying to fathom the whole situation.

My eyes land back on her, my hand impulsively clenching harder onto the bottle, "Watch who you're calling a bitch, cunt." I snap.

She releases his hand and begins stomping up to me. I don't move. Colby rushes behind her, desperately trying to calm her down. He manages to wrap his arms around her waist and grab her in a strong hold that lifts her feet off the ground. This earns an abundance of loud threats to come from her mouth as she screams and wiggles to break free.

Footsteps start coming from the stairs, and within seconds a group of six or seven people is surrounding us trying to figure out where the yelling was coming from. Sam was one of them.

"What the hell is going on?" His voice strains with fear and confusion.

I just keep staring right at her, "This why you couldn't answer my texts?" I direct the question towards Colby. This only makes the girl lash out more.

"Get her out of here!" One of the guys demands Colby. He is struggling to keep hold of her. One of them approaches him to attempt to help him carry her outside, but she manages to break from Colby's grip just before he gets to her.

Before I know it she is right in front of me, and I feel a sharp slap to my face. The bottle drops from my hand and shatters across the floor. With my hand now free, I swing. My fist connects with her cheek and she stumbles back, creating just enough distance for everyone to rush in between and separate us.

More people filter up the stairs. I hear Morgan's voice amongst them. She calls my name several times.

When she finds me, she takes me from whoever was holding me back and pulls me downstairs.

Her brows knit as she stares at me in panic. Three guys follow soon after, all carrying the girl out the door.

Sam and Kat rush to me, all three of them asking if I was okay and what happened at once.

Everyone in the house buzzes with curiosity, several people approaching with the same questions.

"I owe you a bottle of whiskey." I smile lightheartedly at Sam.

His face shifts from worried to relaxed, and he starts laughing to release the stress.

"Dude," he giggles, "You hit her hard!"

"You hit her?" Morgan gasps, "I can't believe I missed it!" She yells, smiling proudly at me.

"Y/N, your face," Kat points out. I can still feel the sting, I'm guessing she scratched me.

"She hits like a bitch," I smirk, earning a chorus of laughter from the group.

After everyone calms down, we all go back outside and sit by the pool. Even after everything went down, Morgan and I both agreed neither of us were sober enough to drive back home tonight. Devyn offered to let us sleep in her and her boyfriend, Corey's room. While we were outside I met the rest of the roommates, they all apologized to me for what happened. All but Colby, who no one has seen.

It's now hitting 2am, and the amount of people here decreased quite a bit, making it slightly more enjoyable.

As I'm staring into the water, from the corner of my eye I see two legs next to me, lowering down into the pool. A thick tension fills the air, denser than the water. A hand extends to me, holding an ice pack. I know who's hand it is by the rings on his fingers.

"Don't need it. Maybe she does though." I comment, my tone a mixture of bitterness and amusement.

My feelings for him begin to surface again with the lack of alcohol in my veins. I keep reminding myself I barely know him, and I shouldn't be so attached. But I can't help but feel hurt.

He reaches up and tucks my hair behind my ear to look at my face. I keep my eyes fixed on the water, afraid that all of my emotions will come crashing onto me at once like a truck if I look at him.

I feel the cold as he gently touches the ice pack to my cheek. While it actually helps, the fact that he is the one holding it makes me feel sick.

"You know.." he speaks cautiously, "You're a real cock block."

Without hesitation, I reach over and push him into the pool. The splash only causes little attention from others. I stand up, glaring down at him as his head breaks the surface, "You know, you're a real asshole." I grimace.

He slicks his hair out of his eyes and glares at me. Before I know it, his hands are locked around my ankles and he yanks me in.

I fall forward and crash down into the water, feeling weightless for a few seconds before I push myself up out of the water. Kat and Morgan are staring at me. They don't speak, but the look on their faces says "Oh shit."

"Heyoooo!" Sam's voice travels through the air, getting louder as he reaches the pool before launching himself in. This creates a chain reaction, both Kat and Morgan jump in after.

They all laugh as they splash each other. I push my way up to Colby, glaring daggers into him, "Fuck you, Colby."

"Fuck you, Y/N."

Colby's heavy arm is wrapped around me as I wake up in his bed.

Son of a bitch.

His soft snores whisper in my ear as his face is buried in the crook of my neck. I slowly lift his arm off me and climb out beneath the covers, not even stirring him from his sleep.

I pad across the hardwood floor over to my pile of clothes, sighing when I discover they're still soaked. I step into the closet and remove one of his tshirts from a hanger, slipping it on. It's big enough to cover my ass, reaching my mid thighs.

I look back at him for a second before I open the door and walk out into the hallway. I follow a few voices I hear coming from downstairs.

Sam, Kat, and Corey look to me as I stumble into the kitchen.

"Rise and shine." Sam smirks, holding a cup of coffee out to me. I generously take it, desperate to relieve this headache.

"She bite your neck too?" Corey raises his eyebrows. I stare back in confusion before taking my phone out and using the camera to see myself.

I slap my hand over my mouth when I see the three large hickeys painted on my neck.

Kat giggles, and the guys just smirk.

Heat rises to my cheeks, and they all start laughing at my flustered state. Kat leans closer to me, "Guess you got over that guy."

"Kat, he is the guy." I sigh, taking a seat on one of the stools and taking a sip of the coffee.

"What?!" She gasps, louder than I'd prefer. I try shushing her, but she already grabbed Sam and Corey's attention. They get nosy and start asking her what I said.

"How do you know Colby?" She questions, propping her elbow up and holding her head with her hand, as if she's trying to piece things together.

"You know Colby?" Sam joins curiously.

Oh my god.

I roll my eyes and grunt, "I met him at another party two weeks ago. We've hung out a few times." I answer simply.

Corey jumps up and down, his mouth shaped like an "o". "That fight makes so much sense now!" He exclaims with the same excitement as if he just cured cancer or some shit, "Y/N was claiming her mans!"

I cup my hand over his mouth to muffle his words, "No, no, no! It wasn't like that I didn't even know-"

"Oh wait!" Sam chimes in, "You're the one he was talking about! He said he and Jake went on a date with some girl and her friend at a bar!"

Their glee over the whole situation that has been taking a tole on me is becoming overwhelming. I can't conjure up a response.

He told them about me?

Sam pulls his phone out of your pocket, "What's your Instagram?" He abruptly changes the subject, though I can tell it still has something to do with the conversation.

"I don't have one." I admit.

This appears to be the most shocking news of the morning by the look on all three of their faces.

"How do you not have an Instagram?" Kat gawks with pure confusion.

"I'll make one when I get home." I laugh and roll my eyes.

Little did I know, it would be the key to unlocking many of the questions I've been asking myself.

Ooooo lots of drama this chapter hehe. I have an issue of falling for toxic men so I'm basically just channeling it into this story lol. But will there be a happy ending? Who knows ;)
