I was laying across my bed cuddling the stuffed duck I got from Fred, texting in the new group chat I'd created. It seemed easier than texting everyone individually to say the same thing over and over.
"I've done it!" Shuri smile running into the room, I quickly sat up curious to know what had her so excited.
"What?" I laughed, tossing my phone to the side to give her my full attention.
"I have a design." She explained with a wide smile on her face. She quickly grabbed my arms pulling me to my feet and we both ran to the lab while laughing.
Displayed on the screens was a sketch of a purple suit with lighting details and four different masks.
"Woah, Shuri this is awesome." I exclaimed, hugging her as she began to list all the things she hoped the suit would do.

"Violet!" Harry yelled as I walked into the common room after meeting with the twins and Lee.
"Hi, how are you Har?" I greeted with a smile. I'd missed him while I was home.
"I saw my parents." He whispered and I looked at him confused.
"Harry..."
"No, it was in a mirror. But I swear they were there." He explained, I nodded but I was still confused. I knew that was probably all the explanation I'd get from him so I moved on.
"Then I believe you. How was your Christmas?"
"I got presents this year, like real presents." He smiled happily I held back a disappointed sigh. It was common knowledge among our friend group that Harry didn't have the best home life, but no one ever really wanted to question the boy about it because it always brought bad panic attacks.
"That's really great Harry. I'm happy for you, you hungry? I was gonna head to the Great Hall for lunch in a few." I explained and he nodded
"Ok, I'll be back I'm going to drop this off in my dorm." I smiled holding up Shadows cat carrier. She had run off somewhere with Lee as soon as she saw him.
⚡️💜⚡️
"Harry, I thought you said you were hungry?" I whispered confused, noticing he was just drinking water.
"What? Oh yeah I am." He smiled.
"Are you going to eat then?" I murmured softly, trying not to bring attention to our conversation.
"I forgot..." he mumbled and the rest of his sentence was too quiet to hear but I had an idea of what he said.
"You can eat when you're hungry here. No one is going to stop you." I smiled and he nodded happily as he started to pile food on his plate.
"Have you been taking your potions?" I asked after a moment. He glanced at me for a moment and I knew the answer before he even responded.
"I ran out." He admitted in a whisper as if he was hoping I wouldn't hear him.
"Why didn't you go get more from Pomfrey?" I questioned.
"I...you usually did it for me and I didn't want to bather her because I didn't know where she kept them so I just waited for you to come back." He sighed in defeat while focusing on his food. I grabbed his hand reassuringly while smiling at him.
"I'll ask her if they can be delivered to your dorm next year." I offered causing a smile to make its way across his face.

It's been a few weeks since the term started and it was nearing Ron's birthday. I was currently sitting in the courtyard reading when Fred walked over to me and sat down.
"Everything okay, Freddie?" I asked when he laid his head on my shoulder before letting out a sad sigh.
"Cedric broke up with me." He murmured sadly.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I know you really liked him. Did he say why?" I asked and he sighed once more.
"I asked him if we could stop sneaking around, you know he wouldn't even let me tell Georgie? I just wanted to hold his hand in the corridors, maybe wish him luck before his quidditch matches, or even just give him flowers sometimes. You know, couple stuff. I wasn't asking for a lot, but he kinda made me feel like I was." He mumbled with tears in his eyes.
"And he didn't want that?"
"He said he wasn't ready for a public relationship, and that he felt like I was forcing it on him. He said it was bad enough that you knew, even though I told him you'd never tell anybody. He just...he made me feel like I was too much when all I wanted was basic stuff." He cried and I looked around, gently running my fingers through his hair.
"Do you wanna talk about this somewhere else?" I asked softly and he nodded so I grabbed his hand pulling him behind me. This was a private moment that nosey ears didn't need to hear. Especially if Cedric didn't want people knowing about him and Fred. The guy might be a jerk but he doesn't deserve to be outted by the rumor mill.
I lead Fred inside an empty classroom and locked the door, placing a silencing charm on the room.
"Okay, no one can hear you. You can continue." I smiled reassuringly before we both sat on the floor. He took a deep breath, laying his head in my lap and playing with the rings on my fingers.
"We had been together for so long, I even told him I loved him but he...he didn't say it back. I should have known!I thought maybe he wasn't ready, but what if he just didn't like me? I mean, what if I was just a placeholder until someone better came along? That's how he treated me anyway." He mumbled sadly as his eyes began to water again.
"I'm sorry Freddie, Cedric is a jerk. You even told me he never cared about your prank dreams and he never listened to you interests. I know you probably don't want to he it but you guys never really worked out." I whispered, he nodded agreeing with me as I ran my fingers through his hair again.
"I wanted it to, I wanted it to work so bad." He sighed wiping his tears.
"I know Freddie, I know. He was all you ever talked about for months." I muttered sadly. Cedric was a jerk for doing this to Fred. I felt awful for him.
"Thanks for letting me talk to you Violet." Fred whispered after a moment of silence and I smiled leaning down to kiss his forehead.
"Of course Freddie."

"Ron! Ron! Wake up!" I yelled hitting him with a pillow as he slept on the couch in the common room.
"What? What? I'm awake stop hitting me." He said shielding his face with his arms. I tossed the pillow to the side once he sat up, grabbing his gift off the table.
"Happy 12th birthday Ronnie!" I smiled handing the box to him. I'd asked Shuri to send me another box of macaroons last week. I couldn't figure out what to buy him and then I remembered he's said he loved the once I shared with him after Christmas.
"Thank you!" He smiled hugging me and accepting the box.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!" Several voices yelled running into the common room. Soon Ron was tackled to the floor by all of our friends, with a wide smile on his face.

"Look at you playing with your cards. Pathetic! We've got final exams coming up soon." Hermione groaned looking at Ron as we all sat in the great hall.
"I'm ready! Ask me any question." He smiled confidently.
"All right, what are the three most crucial ingredients in a Forgetfulness Potion?" She asked looking down at her notes.
"I forgot." He lied, I knew he was lying because we studied for potions together last night and he'd gotten that answer right.
"And what, may I ask, do you plan to do if this comes up in the final exam?" Hermione asked.
"Copy off you two?" He joked gesturing to Hermione and I.
"No, you won't! Besides, according to Professor McGonagall, we're to be given special quills bewitched with an anti-cheating spell." Hermione pointed out and I laughed.
"That's insulting! It's as if they don't trust us!" He joked
"It's as if they don't want us to learn from one another." I added sarcastically and he nodded as Neville suddenly came hopping into the Great Hall with his legs stuck together as a few other students laugh at him.
"Leg-Locker Curse?" Ron asked
"Malfoy?" Harry asked once the boy was close enough. However Neville was quick to shake his head.
"Parkinson, though Malfoy offered to do the counter curse which was strange." He explained, struggling to sit down as people around us were still laughing. I quickly moved to help him and he sent me a tankful smile.
"You have got to start standing up to people, Neville." Ron stated firmly.
"How? I can barely stand at all!" He pointed out. Seamus quickly jumped up with a confident smile on his face and his wand gripped tightly in his hand.
"I'll do the counter-curse!" He offered with a smile.
"No, that's all I need... you to set my bloody kneecaps on fire!" Neville protested worried. Seamus slammed his wand on the table, his smile disappearing immediately and being replaced with a look of anger.
"I don't appreciate the insinuation, Longbottom. Besides, if anyone cares to notice, my eyebrows have completely grown back!" He got up storming away revealing that a chunk of hair was missing from the back of his head.
"I found him!" Harry smiled, handing Ron the card from the chocolate frog he had just eaten.
"'Dumbledore is particularly famous for his defeat of the Dark" Wizard Grindelwald in 1945–'" Ron read confused, glancing up at Harry.
"Go on." Harry nodded proudly.
"-for his discovery of the 12 uses of Dragon Blood, and his work on alchemy with his partner Nicolas Flamel!"
"I knew the name sounded familiar. I read it on the train that day." Harry explained.
"Follow me!" Hermione smiled excitedly and we jumped up following her out of the Great Hall.
"Hey, wait, where are you going? What about the counter-curse?!" Neville yelled, I ran back with an apologetic smile on my face.
"Sorry Nev." I mumbled waving my wand in three clockwise motions as a purple light admitted from the tip and Neville legs were free. He stumbled a bit as he stood and I immediately grabbed his arm.
"Thanks Violet." He smiled as I looked around at everyone who was still pointing and laughing.
"Don't you all have some studying to do?! Shows over!" I yelled and everyone quickly turned away. I pocketed my wand running to catch up with the Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"I had you looking in the wrong section! How could I be so stupid? I checked this out a few weeks ago for a bit of light reading." Hermione explained dropping a large book on the table in front of us as we sat in the library
"This is light?" Ron asked shocked
"No, Comic books are light, if I ever had to read this I'd just wait for the movie." I joked
"If you two are quite finished?" Hermione asked and we nodded
"Here it is, 'Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone!'" She read quickly.
"I'm sorry?" I questioned unsure on why this was useful.
"The what?" The boys asked in unison probably wondering the same thing.
"Honestly, don't you three read? 'The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will turn any metal into pure gold and produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal.'" Hermione explained.
"Immortal?" Ron asked shocked.
"It means you'll never die." Hermione explained mistaking his shock for confusion.
"I know what it means." He scoffed seemingly offended by her confusion.
"'The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel, the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday.' That's what Fluffy's guarding on the 3rd floor. That's what's under the trapdoor...the Philosopher's Stone!" She explained
"Lovely." I mumbled
