It's good to be back, and with a new story. Not going to lie, I had no intention to write this story before finishing Deku: The Sharingan Hero, and this was originally one of the two fanfic ideas that I first got back in June 2020, before I officially became a writer. But after a lot of requests, temptations, and most importantly, a challenge from The Great Papaya Man himself who will also write a Kurama jinchuriki Izuku fan fiction, I just had to do it. Now don't expect this to be a copy paste from DTSH. No. I'm doing things differently here. I'm kinda trying something new and see how it goes.
Okay, some important facts here:
-I don't own My Hero Academia or Naruto, I'm just a fan with a fanfic idea that I want to write that's all.
-No Harem. The pairing has already been decided, and it's Momo. She's also part of this new experiment I'm doing.
-Izuku won't get OFA. And for the manga readers, yes, I know how to keep him relevant in the story.
-And lastly, less angst than in Deku: The Sharingan Hero.
-Also, Izuku is slightly different than his canon self. Emotionally, he's more like his mother but he got his rational side from his father. He looks a lot like his father, but his hair and eye color are from Inko. His face is a bit different, too. For example, his eyes are more like Inko's.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fourteen years ago, the Nine-Tails fox suddenly appeared in the peaceful city known as Musutafu. Its tails lashed out, smashing buildings and bringing destruction on the city. The Heroes rose up to defend the city but many were killed along with the innocent people they were trying to protect. Children, women and elders. None was spared from the wrath of the Nine-Tails fox. Only one Hero stood fearlessly in front of the beast, prepared to end this whole mess.
"Oh, no... I was too late." The yellow haired man spoke as he scanned the area around him. He tried to rush here as fast as possible to the point where he didn't even bother changing into his Hero Costume, but alas, the damage was already done.
He then noticed from the corner of his azure blue eyes the dense sphere made out of positive black and negative white Chakra that was heading towards him.
"A Tailed Beast Bomb." The Hero narrowed his eyes as he waved some hand seals and pulled out his special three bladed kunai. Special markings began to spread out, seemingly absorbing the sphere of Chakra before teleporting it away to a deserted island. Shortly after, the Hero's eyes widened in shock as the scale of the explosion was so big that he was able to see it from where he was, which was dozens of miles away.
He regained his composure when the roar of the beast snapped him out of his confusion. The Nine-Tails growled again as he stared directly in the Hero's eyes, ready to face his opponent.
"I'm sorry, Kurama. I was too careless." He said, addressing the beast as his grip tightened on his kunai. "But I promise you that I will stop this madness and save everyone, including you as The Yellow Flash, Hisashi Uzumaki."
And with that, the Hero and the Nine Tails fox engaged in a death battle that ended with the Hero sacrificing his own life to capture the beast and seal it in a newborn baby. And the name of that baby was Izuku Midoriya.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Present Day:
Izuku Midoriya stood in his middle school uniform in front of Aldera Junior High. Now as a teenager, he had green spiky hair and large, somewhat circular green eyes. Another thing to notice though is that he had three whisker markings on his cheek. A unique trait that no one else seemed to have aside from him. He had just arrived at his school, Aldera Junior High, after witnessing this morning the debut of the new Pro Hero: Mount Lady, and taking notes on her Quirk in his Hero Analysis Journal 13.
...
...
"Since you're all third years, it's time for you to think seriously about your future. I'll pass out handouts for your future plans, but... you're all... pretty much planning to go into the Hero course, right?!" The teacher pointed out with enthusiasm.
"YES!" The class shouted back and cheered except for Bakugo and Izuku. The latter didn't want to get everyone's attention as it always came with trouble whereas the former looked annoyed.
"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful Quirks! But using your powers in school is against the rules!"
"TEACH! DON'T LUMP US ALL IN THE SAME GROUP. I'M NOT GONNA BE STUCK AT THE BOTTOM WITH THE REST OF THESE REJECTS!" Bakugo pointed out, much to his peers' anger who began to protest. "YOU ALL SHOULD SHUT UP LIKE THE EXTRAS YOU ARE!" Bakugo cut off his classmates.
"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to UA High, right, Bakugo?" The teacher questioned the ash blonde haired student. The rest of the students were surprised since UA is the best Hero Course high school in Japan, as well as the hardest to get accepted to. However, they knew that if someone had what it takes to make it to UA then it must be their talented classmate, Katsuki Bakugo.
"THAT'S EXACTLY WHY YOU GUYS ARE JUST EXTRAS! I ACED THE MOCK TEST! I'M THE ONLY ONE AT THIS SCHOOL WHO COULD POSSIBLY GET INTO UA. NOT ONLY WILL I SURPASS THE NUMBER ONE HERO ICHIRO UCHIHA BUT ALSO ALL MIGHT AND HISASHI UZUMAKI AND BECOME THE GREATEST HERO THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER SEEN! MY NAME WILL BE INSCRIBED ON THE LIST OF TOP EARNERS!"
"Oh yeah, Midoriya wanted to go to UA, too, right?" The teacher announced, brushing off Bakugo. As much as the man knew that Bakugo was talented and blessed with a great Quirk, there was no way he could ever surpass The Yellow Flash Of Japan nor All Might, the previous Number One Hero. This made Midoriya flinch in his seat and look nervously at Bakugo.
Oh, no! Here we go again. He mentally thought, knowing already what's going to happen to him.
Instantly, the whole class laughed at their teacher's words. They thought it was so funny that Izuku, the Quirkless kid was thinking that he could ever get into UA.
However, Bakugo, his bully, immediately fired an explosion at Izuku's desk and proceeded to threaten him with his explosions. "OI, DEKU! YOU'RE BELOW THE REJECTS! YOU'RE A QUIRKLESS LOSER! HOW CAN YOU EVEN STAND IN THE SAME RING AS ME, YOU DAMN NERD?!"
"No, wait, Kacchan! I-I just want to be a Hero too, and I always wanted to go to UA so... so I'll just give it a try and do my best. B-Besides, I don't understand why you're so angry... If I'm below the rejects, then by your words, there's no way I'll ever pass, right?" Izuku nervously said.
Hearing this, Bakugo's eyes narrowed and smoke began to appear from his hands. He knelt down and grabbed Izuku by his collar, "Don't try to be a smartass, you piece of shit. You're a Deku, and without a Quirk you'll get crushed in the test. UA will never accept a useless nerd like you." Bakugo growled while Izuku just remained silent.
"Bakugo, I need to resume my class." The teacher groaned, ignoring the helpless Izuku who was getting bullied by Bakugo which was nothing new.
"Tsk..., give it a try? The hell you can do anyways." And with that Bakugo released Izuku and went back to his seat...
...
...
The school's bell rang, meaning that it was the end of the school day. Everyone began to pack their stuff and leave, but Bakugo decided to further torment Izuku. He was still mad at the nerd. And so, he stole his Hero Analysis Journal 13.
"What's that? Quirkless Deku wants to become a Hero." One of Bakugo's lackeys teased Izuku and laughed.
"Seriously? This must be the best joke of the year." Another lackey laughed at the green-haired boy.
However, Izuku ignored them for he was far more concerned about his notebook.
"Give it back, Kacchan." Izuku firmly said. He spent a lot of time working on this notebook and didn't want anything happening to it.
Bakugo frowned, not liking the way Izuku was speaking to him. Seems like the nerd was still refusing to learn his place. "Or what?" Bakugo challenged him with a smirk.
Izuku stayed silent, not daring to speak another word before Bakugo suddenly burned the journal with an explosion and threw it from the window. Izuku just screamed in panic as he saw his latest Hero Analysis Journal being thrown away.
"If you wanna be a Hero that badly, there's a quick way to do it. Believe that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life and take a last chance dive off the roof!" Bakugo harshly said without a care.
"Maybe he should also wish to be born with parents." One of the lackeys snorted and laughed.
"I know, right? Man, I'm sure his parents abandoned him because they didn't want to have a Quirkless kid." The other lackey added and laughed with his friend as the two walked away with Bakugo.
Meanwhile, Izuku just looked down on the floor in shame. Mocking him for being an orphan has always been his weakness, his sore spot. Ever since he was four, he knew that all men are not created equal but this... It was just too much for a fourteen years old kid. Why? Well...
You see, in a society where more than 80% of its population had a Quirk, Izuku was one of the few without any superpower. He was Quirkless. This made him a social outcast, deemed worthless, and being a constant target for bullies, especially from his former best friend, Kacchan, who gave Izuku the insulting name Deku, which simply means Useless.
However, that's not all. Izuku was even more unlucky than Quirkless people. He was an orphan, a child with no parents. He had no siblings or other family members. Worse yet, he had no friends. Izuku Midoriya was all alone in this world.
But even with all of that, Izuku didn't despair. Ever since he was a kid, he wanted to become a Hero. And while it was no secret that he was a big All Might fanboy to the point where his entire room was decorated with All Might's merchandises, Izuku's real idol was someone else. He wanted to become a Hero like the man who was the Number One Hero before All Might, The Yellow Flash, Hisashi Uzumaki. The man who sacrificed himself to save the entire country from the demon fox. Till this day, everyone respected that man. They always spoke good about him and honored him by building a great statue of him in Musutafu. That's what Izuku wanted to be. He wanted to be a selfless Hero who saves everyone like The Yellow Flash. He can also do it with a smile too like All Might. And just then, maybe people will start to respect him more and acknowledge him for what he is, and stop looking at him as the Quirkless useless kid.
After picking up his Hero Journal which he fortunately managed to find. Izuku decided that he'll take a shortcut to be able to return to his home faster. Bad days like this one always made him want to go back home as fast as possible. Not like anyone was waiting for his return, but at the very least he would be able to work on his Hero Analysis Journal earlier than usual and also have more time to exercise. Izuku wasn't dumb, he understood that a Quirkless boy like him had no chance to pass the UA exams and become a Hero if he doesn't train his body. And so, he has been training his body since the last month.
"Midoriya!"
Izuku jerked his head to see old man Tejime, the owner of Ichiraku Ramen, waving at him and inviting him to come and eat.
The green-haired boy opened his pocket money and smiled before he nodded at the man and took a seat.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite costumer. What do you want, my boy?" The old man asked.
"The usual."
"Ah, then one bowl of Miso Pork Ramen is coming right away." The man excitedly said. "Kaede, boil the ramen please." The man asked a young woman working with him who Izuku knew as Tejime's daughter.
As Izuku waited for his order, he began scrolling through his phone, trying to see the latest news about Pro Heroes that he missed during school today.
"Hmm, nothing much happened here today aside from this morning's Villain attack..."He kept scrolling, reading more about Mount Lady. "Hmm, so it's true. She can only increase the size of her body and not specific parts. She would definitely have trouble in big cities like Tokyo... Wait, what's that? They used a piece of her hair to make her Hero Costume in order for the suit to expand with her when she uses her Quirk? That's amazing." Izuku continued to mutter to himself and take some notes in his burned journal, courtesy of Bakugo.
Tejime stared at Izuku as he prepared his ramen with a smile. The boy's passion for Heroes was something Tejime respected and even admired, contrary to many other people. That is because Tejime was once like Izuku. His parents died when he was very young, and he always dreamt about reopening his grandfather's shop, the Ichiraku Ramen. And so, he started to work at different ramen shops, learn different recipes on top of the ones he had learned from his grandfather's and gather some money. Once he had enough money, he reopened the Ichiraku Ramen and fulfilled his dream.
"Long time no see, Tejime." An old man in his mid-fifties spoke. He was tall, standing at 6'7 feet. His eyes were brown, hidden by his sunglasses and his hair was grey and spiky, styled short with some bangs hanging forward. He was also wearing a light blue shirt along with black pants.
"Now that's someone I didn't expect to see today. I see you haven't changed at all, old friend." Tejime spoke.
"Really? But I have some wrinkles though." The man replied.
"Not as much as me. But I guess we're growing old, huh, Sorahiko?"
The man identified as Sorahiko nodded before turning to Kaede, "I still remember when she was just a child and used to pull on my hair. But look at her now, she grew up to be a lovely young lady. Time sure flies quickly." He said causing Kaede to smile sheepishly. His gaze then shifted towards Izuku, "Now that's a new face I haven't seen before. What's your name, young man?" Sorahiko asked but Izuku was too invested in his notes that he wasn't aware of what was happening around him.
"He's my favorite customer. Our one and only Hero fanboy, Izuku Midoriya." Tejime proudly announced.
Izuku's ears caught his name, and so he quickly closed his notebook, looking around to see who called him, "Huh? D-Did someone call my name?"
"Midoriya, I want you to meet my friend here, Sorahiko Torino. He asked for your name but you were too invested in your Hero notebook."
Izuku quickly turned to face the other old man and jumped out of his seat before he started to quickly bow and apologize, "I-I'm truly sorry Mr. Torino. I d-didn't hear you earlier. I'm Izuku Midoriya. N-N-Nice to meet you, sir." The boy was a total stuttering mess.
"It's okay, kid, don't sweat it. And call me, Sorahiko. No need for formalities. It's okay if I call you Izuku, right?" The older man asked.
"Of course." Izuku replied as he took back his seat, glad that he didn't offend the older man.
"I see that you're somewhat obsessed with Heroes, and I'm interested in this little hobby of yours." He pointed towards the notebook. "You write here info about the different Heroes you see, correct?"
Hearing this, Izuku smiled. It was very rare for people to take interest in his Hero Journals. "Y-Yes," He grabbed his notebook and began to show Sorahiko some pages, "On the left side, I write about their Quirks, applications, uses, strengths, and weaknesses. Whereas on the right side, I like to draw a sketch of the said Hero, write down some info about their support gear and how it amplifies the use of their Quirk and/or how can that said Hero improve more." The boy excitedly explained.
Nevertheless, Sorahiko was shocked to hear and see all of that, but he didn't let it show on his face. He broke down the Quirks in such small details like that, and even covered their weaknesses and how they can improve. The boy is very perceptive. He even wrote about support items. And to think he wrote 13 volumes of those journals. Can you see this, Hisashi? Your son has inherited your genius. The old man gave a faint smile. "I see. That is very impressive, Izuku. But after seeing so many Heroes in your life and writing about them, can you tell me what does it mean to be a Hero?"
Izuku looked surprised for a moment, not expecting this question from Sorahiko. "W-What does it mean to be a Hero?" He put a hand on his chin and began thinking as Tejime placed a bowl of ramen in front of him. "Hmm, I guess a Hero is one who can follow or lead others into any darkness and work together to overcome that darkness and make it out the other side. When everyone is running away, a Hero must walk towards danger, look at the foe and simply say Bring it! no matter how strong that foe is and put people's mind at ease. That is because it is the duty of a Hero to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Tell them that everything is fine as long as he's here, as long as he and his other fellow Heroes are here to protect them. Finally, I like to believe that a Hero is someone who's selfless. That it's not a matter of being forced to help others, it's a matter of wanting to help others." At the end of his speech, Izuku was happily staring at his bowl as he was already getting hungry.
To say that Sorahiko was shocked would be an understatement. The understanding Izuku showed on what it means to be a Hero is something that usually takes many years to grasp and understand. Heck, many Pro Heroes still do not understand. But somehow, somehow, this fourteen years old kid does. It was unheard of.
Tejime and Kaede had stopped working as well. After hearing the full conversation and the young boy's answer, they were staring at him with wide eyes along with Sorahiko whose jaw was hanging a bit.
This boy... Such a deep perception and insight at such a young age! Sorahiko mentally said with wonder. "T-That is exactly what being a Hero means. But w-where did you learn all that, Izuku?"
Izuku furrowed his brows as he slurped his ramen. "Huh? I already told you. I learned all of that after careful observation. Ichiro Uchiha, All Might, and the many other Heroes helped me understand this. But only one Hero managed to immensely influence my thinking and help me reach this conclusion..." Izuku resumed eating his ramen.
"Well, who is he or who is she?" Sorahiko asked. He and the other two adults were eager to hear his answer.
"It was none other than Hisashi Uzumaki, The Yellow Flash. A-After reading about his life and what he did, h-he became my idol." Izuku cheerfully said before his expression turned more serious. "And I don't know if I can, but my dream is to become a Hero just like him. Even though I'm Quirkless, I've already decided to give it a try and do my best."
Wow, it's surprisingly much easier talking about becoming a Hero when Kacchan isn't here. The green-haired boy thought.
Quirkless? Sorahiko repeated in his head as he brought a hand to his chin. I never took this into account, but maybe that might not be a bad thing per se. If anything, it makes things easier for us... But wait minute, if he's Quirkless than how in the world is he holding Kurama?! Unless... No way! Could it really be?! The old man turned to look at Izuku again and was about to tell him something when-
*BOOM*
Sorahiko was cut off by the sound of an explosion.
"What's that? A Villain Attack?" Tejime asked in confusion as he and the others went out to check what's going on.
*BOOM*
Another explosion occurred from the same place.
Sorahiko narrowed his eyes, "Judging from the smoke and the number of explosions, it might be the case."
Meanwhile, Izuku began to hear a buzzing sound in his head that he knew as his danger sense. Ever since he was a kid, his head would always ring when he's in danger as if his mind was alerting him. At first, he thought that it was a Quirk, but when the doctors in the orphanage told him numerous times that he's Quirkless, he brushed it off as a sixth sense or a gut feeling. It happened subconsciously and Izuku had no control over it.
However, this time it was different. The buzzing sound was so loud that it was giving him a headache. He clutched his head in pain, gritting his teeth as his headache was getting more and more painful.
I don't understand. Why here? I'm far away from that explosion! Izuku thought as he was confused as to why his danger sense was activating when he's safe. Unless...
Sorahiko looked at Izuku and noticed the painful expression on Izuku's face. "Izuku-" But before he could continue, he watched as the boy ran off to the direction where the explosion came from.
"Midoriya, you forgot to pay!" Tejime shouted, but the boy continued to run, ignoring him.
"It's fine, Tejime. Here..." Sorahiko said before he gave him a few hundreds of yens and ran after Izuku.
Speaking of Izuku, the boy was now in front of a large crowd. The buzzing sound in his head was still there but it wasn't giving him the same painful headache anymore. He walked towards the crowd and tried to move between them to get a closer look at what's happening, only to see a Sludge Villain going off on a rampage and causing a lot of trouble.
"-Why aren't the Heroes doing anything?" One of the people asked.
"-They can't. Apparently, the Villain caught a junior high schooler. It's been like that for a while." Another person replied.
As Izuku was hearing the crowd chatting among themselves, he started to get an idea about the situation the Heroes were in.
"I see. So, it's a hostage situation, and the Heroes present here are having a hard time dealing with it. Mount Lady can't help without causing collateral damage, Kamui Woods is at a disadvantage because his Quirk is weak against fire, DeathArms is having a hard time charging in and dealing with the Villain, and Backdraft is busy, trying to put out the fire... The others seem to be the more inexperienced sidekicks, and they too are having a hard time dealing with the situation, so they're at least trying to keep the Sludge Villain from escaping and/or injuring the other civilians. Still, if DeathArms takes some sidekicks and try to create a distraction for Kamui to switch in and save the hostage, they would be able to deal with this situation much easier. Also, how come did Kamui Woods never thought of getting an anti-fire Quirks support item till now." Izuku assessed the situation and tried to see how the Heroes could possibly deal with the situation at hand.
"I bet they're just waiting for a Hero with a more suitable Quirk to come and-" Izuku stopped when he saw the Villain causing more explosions, except that the explosions were not coming from the Villain but from the hostage. "Wait a minute... A junior schooler, explosions, a hostage that is fighting back!" His eyes widened in realization. His suspicions were confirmed when he saw Bakugo's face, who looked like he needed saving. At least from everyone's perspective minus Bakugo. Izuku just kept staring at him in shock until their eyes met.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flashback To Ten Years Ago:
Today was the first day for Izuku in kindergarten. It was the first time he ever went outside the orphanage, so naturally he was a bit nervous. He also wasn't used to dealing with kids his age as the majority of the kids in the orphanage were much older than him. Ultimately, he decided to mind his own business and play with his new All Might action figure.
"Woah! Is that the new All Might action figure?!"
Kid Izuku looked up to see an ash blonde haired boy with crimson eyes, looking at him excitedly. "Y-Yes." He nodded.
"So cool! Can I see it?" The blonde kid asked.
Kid Izuku grabbed his All Might figure with both hands and gave it to the kid, who immediately started to inspect it and play with it. He pressed a button, "HaHaHa! Have no fear! Why? Because I'm here!" The toy spoke causing the two kids to look at it in wonder.
"All Might is so cool, right? He defeats all of the bad guys!" The kid commented with a bright smile.
"And he saves everyone with a smile!" Kid Izuku added with a bright smile too.
"I'm Katsuki Bakugo. What's your name?" The kid now identified as Katsuki asked.
"Izuku Midoriya."
"Guess you and I are now friends, Midoriya." Kid Katsuki smiled and extended his hand to Kid Izuku.
"Yes." Izuku returned the smile and took Kid Katsuki's hand.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Izuku could never forget that day. It was the day when he made his first bond. He knew things were different now. Bakugo hates him, and he... he somewhat hates the explosive teen too. But till today, Bakugo is still the first and only person with whom he shared a bond. And seeing his ex-best friend getting hurt like that, seeing him suffering like that, seeing that painful expression on his face. He had to do something. If no one was here to save Bakugo, then he shall do it because he refused to stand by and watch him die.
*Music: You Say Run -My Hero Academia OST*
And so, without hesitation, Izuku rushed towards the Villain. He couldn't even hear the Pro Heroes shouting at him to step back.
"IDIOT! STOP! STOP!" DeathArms shouted in a pointless attempt to stop Izuku.
Meanwhile, Sorahiko was still trying to find Izuku among the large crowd. He had lost the boy earlier and was trying to find him, "Seriously, just where did he go?" He asked himself but quickly got his answer when he saw Izuku running towards the Villain, "Oh, shit!" Sorahiko cursed.
"Huh? What's that? A brat?" The Sludge asked himself when he saw Izuku running towards him.
"Deku..." Bakugo weakly muttered.
What am I doing? I ran in without a plan? How am I even supposed to save, Kacchan? Izuku hastily thought as he ran.
"Die in an explosion!" The Sludge Villain shouted as he aimed to use Bakugo's Quirk to kill Izuku.
What do I do? What do I do? What do I do at a time like this? Izuku thought in panic. If he doesn't do anything to stop the Villain from attacking him, he'll die. But just then he remembered the notes he took in his journal. Page 25!
"Take that!" The green haired boy shouted as he quickly threw his backpack towards the Villain, and with some luck, a textbook slammed right into the Sludge's eye, causing him pain and stunning him. "Kacchan!" Izuku yelled as he tried to free Bakugo.
"Why are you here?" The explosive teen asked.
"I don't know! My legs just moved on their own! I just had to do something because..."
Bakugo just kept staring at Izuku with wide eyes as he spoke.
"...Because you looked like you were asking for help."
At that, Bakugo felt the Sludge Villain gaining control over his body again. He tried to resist him but it was no use. "Stop it!"
"Don't get in my way, you brat!" The Sludge Villain angrily said as he was about to fire another explosion to kill Izuku.
Everyone was horrified as they watched this. The people were in panic. The Pro Heroes were trying to reach Izuku as fast as they can but it seemed like they were not going to make it. Sorahiko also used his Quirk to get to Izuku as fast as possible. He couldn't let the boy die here. Not on his watch. He couldn't fail Hisashi again!
However, it was too late. No one was fast enough to save Izuku, and the boy himself felt like this was the end of the line for him. He was about to die. But even before his death, Izuku was only concerned about saving people. He didn't pay attention to the incoming explosion and instead, he just kept staring sadly at the unconscious Bakugo.
I'm sorry, Kacchan. I couldn't save you and got myself killed. Looks like you were right. There was no way I was ever going to become a Hero without a Quirk. But still, dying like this isn't so bad either. Those were Izuku Midoriya's last thoughts before getting engulfed in the explosion. The explosion was so huge that it managed to knock back the Pro Heroes along with Sorahiko.
"NO!" Sorahiko shouted in anger and frustration. Once again, he was too late to save someone. He couldn't save Hisashi and Inko fourteen years ago, and today, he couldn't save Izuku.
Many of the civilians screamed and yelled after the explosion. And when the smoke cleared, the Pro Heroes were scowling as there was no trace of Izuku. However, what happened next left them all stunned.
The Villain smirked, happy that he got rid of the pest. Seriously, what's that stupid kid think he's doing trying to attack me like that? Is he trying to play Hero? He thought.
"Hey."
The Sludge Villain quickly turned around, shocked to see Izuku alive. For someone who just got hit by an explosion, Izuku looked pretty well. In fact, he was doing too well. His school uniform was torn and his face and body were covered in burns and blood, but if one looked closely, they would notice that the wounds were healing. However, there was more stuff going on with the green haired boy. There was a layer of red and wispy Chakra covering him. His nails and canines had grown longer and sharper, his whiskers were now thicker and his eyes had turned red with his pupils becoming slitted.
"Give him back." Izuku said in a very cold tone.
"Give him back? He doesn't belong to anyone. Don't be arrogant, brat. Just because you dodged my attack doesn't mean that you're a Hero." The Villain mocked him.
Izuku snarled as he stared dead eyed at the Sludge Villain who grew terrified once he saw Izuku's red eyes. "Give him back or die." The boy's killing intent was all over the place, putting fear in the Villain's corrupted heart.
"N-No... S-Stay away from me." The Sludge Villain said as he took a few steps back, but Izuku kept walking towards him. "I said stay away!" Panicked, he tried to attack him with a slimy tendril, but with a quick swipe of Izuku's hand, the Sludge Villain's arm was splattered everywhere.
Sorahiko was astonished and also happy to see Izuku alive. He let out a sigh of relief before his expression turned serious again. It's just as I expected. Izuku is able to hold Kurama inside him despite not having a Quirk because he has Chakra. But still, this is a bad situation and he would definitely be taken for questioning later. I have to find a way to get him out of this mess. If people find out that he has Kurama inside him, there are going to be those who'll try to kill him and those who'll try to use that power for themselves. Sorahiko thought as he watched Izuku's fight before he quickly pulled out his phone and called a number.
The Sludge Villain shot a few more tendrils at Izuku, desperate to keep the boy away from him, but Izuku quickly dodged them all without any effort as he slowly walked towards the Villain. In a final attempt to stop Izuku, the Villain used Bakugo's Quirk again and fired the biggest explosion he has fired today, aiming to obliterate the boy. Only for Izuku to let out a primal roar that generated some powerful shockwaves and countered the explosion. The shockwaves were powerful enough that they broke all the cameras that were filming this battle.
"Huh?" The Sludge Villain was frozen stiff after seeing his strongest attack getting overpowered like nothing. With fear in his eyes, he looked down and saw Izuku who had closed the distance between them and was now pulling his arm back, preparing to punch him.
And without a moment to spare, Izuku delivered the mother of all uppercuts, splattering half of the Sludge Villain's body and extinguishing most of the fires. With his newfound strength, he pulled out Bakugo from whatever was left of the Sludge Villain before the red Chakra completely disappeared.
"Holy shit! That kid just defeated a Villain with one punch!" A bystander cried out in awe as the crowd erupted into triumphant cheers.
But Izuku paid no mind to them and instead focused on Bakugo. He put the unconscious teen down and watched as the medics approached them.
"D-Deku?" Bakugo said as he slowly opened his eyes.
"Don't worry-" Izuku began but he quickly shut his mouth.
His danger sense has activated again, alerting him of a dangerous presence behind him. Izuku quickly turned around, but it was too late. The Sludge Villain was able to form his body back with the half that remained intact and captured Izuku.
The poor boy tried his best to get away as the Sludge covered him. He was thrashing inside the slimy liquid, clawing at it and trying his best to escape from it.
"Sorry, I got to end the call. I'll talk to you later." Sorahiko quickly hanged up in panic. He didn't expect this to happen. He thought for sure that Izuku was going to defeat the Villain with Kurama's help. "Guess I don't have much choice now. I'll have to step in and save him."
"Ah, it appears that this power you had earlier ran out. Guess I should count myself lucky. But don't worry, I'm sure I'll be able to put it to better use." The Villain said as he began to enter Izuku's body from his mouth.
Izuku struggled to breathe, and felt his strength leaving him as the Sludge Villain took over his body. Someone... Someone, please save me. He thought before everything went dark.

When the Sludge Villain opened his eyes again, he didn't expect to find himself in a huge and dark room. It was so large and vast that the ceiling was impossible to find. But was surprised him more was the large iron barred door that stood in front of him with a paper that said seal.
A growl sounded from the cage, sending a breath of hot air in the Sludge's face and causing him to tremble in fear. He thought that he took over Izuku's body, but he had a feeling that there was more to Izuku's body than the eye met, starting with whatever was in that huge cage. In fact, his instincts were screaming at him to stay away from it.
Suddenly, an enormous red eye opened, causing the Villain to tense up and look up at the incoming massive form. But that was nothing as the sight of the inhabitant of the cage almost made his soul leave his body.
"Y-Y-Y-You're the Nine-Tails fox!"
"And you are the pest that dares to enter my territory without permission." The Nine Tails spoke with a hint of malice.
"I-I-I'm very sorry. Please f-forgive me. I-I didn't know that this was your territory. I-I'll get out i-immediately." The Sludge was quick to apologize, though his fear made him stutter a lot.
"Do not be mistaken. There's no second chance." Kurama said with a death glare before his red Chakra started to engulf the Sludge Villain and burn him, causing him to scream in agony and plead for mercy, but Kurama gave him none. "Know your place, foolish human." He coldly added as he watched the Sludge roll on the wet floor and scream his lungs out.
"PLEASE, FORGIVE ME! I BEG YOU!"
Kurama's killing intent disappeared as well as the red Chakra that was burning the Villain. "I'll let you go now, but if you ever dare to speak to anyone about me, I'll know. And next time, I won't be as merciful." The fox threatened in a commanding tone.
And with that, the Sludge Villain disappeared, meaning that he got kicked out of Izuku's body. As for the Nine Tails fox, he patiently waited for the person he has been wanting to meet for a long time.
A brief moment later, Izuku had finally emerged out of nowhere, lying on a wet floor as he slowly opened his eyes again and regained his consciousness.
"Where am I...? Am I dead?"
"So you've finally answered my call, kid." The Nine Tails said in an irritated tone, yet his voice was powerful causing the young teen to quickly shot up and stiffen himself. He eyed the boy in front of him before the usual scowl on his face softened.
"W-Who're you?" He asked and quickly got his answer when he saw a beast with orange, silky fur, with black markings around his eyes that were connected to his ears. The upper body was humanoid, including the hands. Whereas the lower body was just like a fox, barring the nine long swaying tails in the back. As any normal human, the sight of the Nine Tails made Izuku terrified of him. He was only able to stay calm because of the steel gate that was separating the two of them.
"No need to be afraid of me, kid because I will never hurt you. In fact, you could say that I'm your ally."
"Y-You're the Nine-Tails fox. The one who attacked the city of Musutafu fourteen years ago and got killed by The Yellow Flash, Hisashi Uzumaki, aren't you?" Izuku pointed at him and he could swear that he saw a hint of sadness in the beast's eyes.
"I wasn't killed by Hisashi. I was sealed inside a newborn baby, and that baby was you, Izuku Midoriya." The fox corrected him.
"You got sealed inside me? How does that work? The Yellow Flash had a teleportation Quirk, not a sealing one. And how come a large beast like you can get sealed inside a baby in the first place?" Izuku began to ask multiple questions and mutter being the Quirk analysist he is. Thankfully, he was interrupted by the tailed beast.
"There are a lot of things that you don't know about The Yellow Flash, Izuku. But he sealed me inside you in order to protect the two of us."
"Protect the two of us?" Izuku tilted his head.
"Yes. And he also entrusted us with the mission of saving the world." The beast explained.
Izuku was both confused and astounded after what he just heard. His idol and Japan's best Hero left him with a mission, a mission to save the world. This can't be real. Why would he choose him? Besides, even if it was real, there was nothing he could do now since he's dead.
As if he was reading his mind, the fox immediately spoke, "No, you're not dead. You're very much alive."
"But... But even so, I can't save the world. I'm Quirkless. If I couldn't even save myself or Kacchan from one Villain, then how can someone like me ever hope to save the world?" Izuku asked as his earlier fight with the Sludge Villain incident gave him a reality check and showed him how little a Quirkless person can do.
"You're wrong. You managed to save the loud brat."
"You mean it wasn't a dream?"
"It wasn't. I lent you my power to save the boy from that slimy bastard after that explosion hit you and you succeeded. Besides out of all those people you humans call Pro Heroes, you were the only one to try to save that angry Pomeranian despite being Quirkless and powerless." The Nine-Tails said, and Izuku would've chuckled at the nickname if the words were not having another effect on him.

"You were the only one to act, and try to save him despite everything he did to you. You set aside your differences and did the right thing. That alone makes you more heroic than anyone that was present there..."
"B-But... But-" Izuku tried to protest but try as much as he wants, he couldn't find the words. What the Nine-Tails was telling him was absolutely right. The beast took his silence as a sign to continue.
""When everyone is running away, a Hero must walk towards danger, look at the foe and simply say Bring it! no matter how strong that foe is and put people's mind at ease. That is because it is the duty of a Hero to protect those who cannot protect themselves." Those were your words, weren't they?"
"Yeah!" His voice cracked because he was crying. Izuku hadn't cried in so many years now because he had already cried a lot as a kid. He cried so much thathe just got tired of it and stopped. But hearing all those words forced the tears to come out of his eyes as those were the words he always wanted to hear ever since he was a kid.
"People say that you're loser, but I believe that you're nothing like that. You work hard and spend a lot of time either training your body or taking notes on Quirks while everyone else around you just try to put you down. But no matter how hard they try, they always fail. And they fail to realize that your suffering only makes you stronger, and makes you more willing to prove them wrong. You never give up. And that's what separates you from a loser. So listen carefully kid because I don't like to repeat myself... You're no longer a Deku. You're a future Hero and the partner of Kurama, the strongest tailed beast. You're Izuku Midoriya!"
At the end of his words, Izuku had sunken to his knees and was crying his heart out. For the first time in his life, he has finally met someone that truly believes that he can be a Hero. All the pain and suffering he has endured till now wasn't for nothing.
Kurama kept staring at the boy with a grin, knowing how much his words affected the teen. I must admit, Naruto and Iruka had their way with words. Come to think of it, you remind me a lot of him, Izuku Midoriya. He thought, thinking about his old partner, Naruto.
Having finally wiped his tears, Izuku got back on his feet and walked towards Kurama before raising his fist towards him.
"Let's save the world together, Kurama." He gave his answer with a newfound determination.
Kurama fist bumped the boy, looking equally determined, "Yes."
All men are not created equal. This is the harsh reality Izuku Midoriya learned at the age of four. However, today, Izuku also learned that everyone gets a one in a lifetime chance to achieve greatness. And he wasn't going to let his chance slip by.
