Thanks for your message. It was nice to hear from you. Sorry, I couldn't answer you earlier.
In my opinion people collect something in order to remember and preserve an important moment in their life. There is another option why they collect something. Maybe people just like to look at a large number of identical, but unique things. For example, I would like to have a whole room of dolls. All dolls have their own history and their own unique image. For example, dolls with two heads or a mermaid, a centaur, even a skeleton. Maybe for some it's creepy, but for me it's art. I don't really know what is interesting to teenagers of the 21st century, except for gadgets.
