Naira's POV
We both were so lost in our hug not caring about our surroundings.
First, when I hugged him, his heart was beating so fast. I chuckled within myself looking at his reaction.
When he hugged me back, trust me I never felt so safe in someone's arms.
Ugh.... this guy will be the death of me.
This hug is special to me. A feeling of satisfaction and peace spread across my body.
But our moment was interrupted by the witch. I knew she'd be here. Rishi called to inform me about her arrival.
She just barged into the room and dragged Kartik out of the room not even acknowledging my presence.
Such a Bitch.
Then very next moment Rishi texted that he is waiting for me downstairs.
I smirked evilly, It's time for some jasusi and also makes someone jealous.
I went downstairs and introduced Rishi to everybody as my close friend.
Kartik's face was worth watching. But I ignored him royally.
Bhabi looked as if she would burst to laugh at Kartik, but she controlled it.
Vedika stuck to him all the time. Damn, I wished that I could strangle her to death.
So, all the time I was with Rishi, and we are just chilling.
At the lunch also I sat beside Rishi. I saw Kartik stealing glances at me but I didn't look at him even once.
He even tried talking but I ignored him. It was fun man.
Isn't he a cutie? He looks damn cute when he is jealous.
After having lunch everybody was busy looking after the arrangements.
I found everybody roaming here and there or just sitting and talking. But I didn't find Vedika there.
Immediately Rishi and I became alert. We excused ourselves to search for Vedika.
We searched the entire house but she wasn't there. She wasn't even there in the backyard.
When we came into the parking, we could hear some whispers.
We both slowly went to the place from where the whispers were coming.
2 people were standing there. We could only see their backs.
We went a little more forward to see who it was.
It was Vedika talking to some other woman.
Rishi took out his microphone that was in the shape of a stone and slowly threw it towards them after switching it on. Then he took out his transmitter so that we can hear them.
After a few seconds, we could hear what they were talking about.
Vedika was scolding that woman for being careless and irresponsible. That woman kept on apologizing Vedika.
They also spoke about some men too.
Inbetween the other woman spoke bout Varun and she was telling her that he is staying at their house.
That's it, we were sure that it was Natasha.
I took out my phone and clicked few pictures of them.
They spoke for another 10 mins and before leaving Vedika warned her to make things alright otherwise she will not mind killing her.
Poor people thought that only the police is handling the case and bribing them will be enough to destroy all the evidence.
Also in their conversation that stupid woman revealed all details to Vedika.
Rishi smirked at me and mouthed that "They are such dumb fools." I almost laughed very loudly but I controlled myself.
I knew that he got all the details of Varun and in less than 24hrs he will be in our custody.
Vedika and Natasha left a few mins ago itself.
Rishi sent the recorded conversation to his men to note down all the details in it. He is will be coming soon and they shall resume their work.
We both sat for another 45mins making our plan for tomorrow.
It will be the 'happiest' day in Vedika's life. (it is a sarcastic comment)
After we decided on the plan we went into the house.
While entering, Kartik's eyes were fixated on Rishi and me.
Damn, I didn't know that Kartik is such a jealous man.
Ignoring him, I went towards the washroom. I was smiling like hell.
I wasn't able to take out that Jealous face of Kartik. That guy truly likes me a lot.
MY MENDAK.
I switched on the washroom lights and was about to open the door when someone grabbed my hand and pinned me to the wall.
I got all panicked at once. I wanted to punch that person but I stopped seeing who it was.
It was Kartik.
"Kartikkk... Kya kar rahe ho?" I asked loudly.
He looked into my eyes and asked "Kaun hai woh?" in a very serious tone.
"Kaun Kartik?"
He moved closer to me. "Woh tumhara so-called friend."
"Ri...Rishi?" I answered shuttering realizing our closeness.
"Haa." He moved even more closer. Our faces were just inches apart.
Damn, I could feel his breath.
"Ka...Kartik yeh kya kar rahe ho?" I managed to ask.
He didn't answer instead, he was looking at me intently.
This look of his sent shivers down my spine.
"Me...mendak....." Before I could complete my sentence, he bent down to my face and freaking captured my lips with his.
I was stunned. I wasn't expecting this at all. My eyes became wide in shock.
He kissed me so slowly because he knew I'd panic.
He snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me soo close to him that our bodies were almost touching.
He was kissing me with utmost passion. He kept it smooth.
I still couldn't sink into what was happening.
Is the fact KARTIK KISSING ME so hard to digest?
Hell yeah.
I didn't kiss him back. I closed my eyes and was savoring this beautiful feeling.
After a good two mins, he stopped moving his lips and slowly backed off.
Damn, why did he stop? Oh shit, he realized that I ain't kissing back.
He moved a bit back and looked into my eyes. I looked at him with utmost love and desire.
Suddenly I felt butterflies in my stomach.
He just can't back off after igniting the fire within me.
Without wasting another damn minute, I grabbed his collar and pulled him down to my face, and kissed him with passion.
He didn't respond for a second but gave in the next second.
His lips taste so good.
He lifted me and I took this chance to wrap my legs around his torso.
He pulled me so close that our bodies didn't even have space for air to pass through.
Our lips were moving in sync.
I was running my hands through his hair and he was smoothly touching my thighs.
I tilted my head allowing him to deepen the kiss.
Soon it turned into a rough one but still had its beautiful essence.
God knows how much time, but we kissed until we went breathless.
By far this is the BEST KISS I've ever had.
We were breathing heavily joining our foreheads.
I could feel his hot breath.
We looked into the eyes of each other and trust me, I am madly in love with him. I want him more than anybody else and I know he too wants the same.
"Naira" He spoke out my name breathing heavily, so did I "Kartik".
My legs were still wrapped around him.
We looked at each other and a huge smile broke on our faces.
But as always someone was ready to ruin our moment.
We could hear footsteps approaching in our direction.
Coming out of the la-la land, Kartik put me down and set his dress and hair.
Me being me, I jumped off him quickly, set my hair and wrinkled Kurti, and sprinted from that place.
On my way downstairs, I saw housekeeping staff going towards the washroom.
Thankgod we've realized before and I came from there.
While going towards the living room, I fucking couldn't stop blushing at all.
Bhabi saw me going all pink and asked me if I was okay. I just nodded and walked off.
After few mins, Kartik came into the living room and he was continuously stealing glances at me.
We didn't even speak for the rest of the afternoon.
Every time our eyes met, I went all pink.
He initiated to talk but I avoided him giving some reasons or it was Vedika who interrupted us.
It was 7 in the evening and we had to go back home. Rishi left around 5 itself as he had work to do. I know what he had to do so I didn't stop him.
I was wishing everybody Bye when Vedika came to me and hugged me.
Was she out of her mind?
"Stay away from what is mine Okay? Varna consequences will be very bad and you cant take it." Vedika whispered in my ear dangerously.
Bitch thought that I would be intimidated by her. HELL NO
I smiled breaking the hug. "I will tell the same thing to you darling."
"You should be a fool thinking that he will be yours. Today you tried a lot to get closer to him but you failed dear. Also, we are getting engaged soon FYI." She said looking at Kartik dreamily.
I wanted to puke at that look of her.
"In your dreams darling. I know about the accident." I mocked her and whispered the last sentence in her ears.
Her face became so pale. It was worth watching. If I wasn't surrounded by others, I would have laughed my ass out and maybe slapped her too.
"See you tomorrow, darling," I told her and patted her checks before I walked towards my car.
I turned back to see Vedika. She was still standing in the place where she stood and shock was written all over her face.
Such a Bitch. She doesn't know that I am a Sherni. You be a bitch to me, then I will be even more bitchy than you can handle.
As I walked towards my car, I found Kartik talking to Bhabi who already sat in the car.
He turned towards me hearing the footsteps.
He put on his evergreen charming smile. This man...Why is he soo cute.
He told Keerti Bhabi bye and came towards me.
"Naira woh..."
"Woh kya Kartik?"
"Um... Woh jo washroom ke bahar Hua" his ear lobes turned pink.
"Do you regret it?" I asked directly.
"Yes... I mean no..no, not at all."
"Tho phir bath kya hai?"
Before he could answer, Bhai told me to sit inside the car fast.
"Tomorrow will be the best day of your life," I told in his ears hugging him and then looked at Vedika and smirked who was looking at us.
He put up a confused face. He looked at Vedika, then at me.
"Bye Kartik." I sat in the car without looking at him.

On the ride back to our home, I told Bhai and Bhabi our complete plan.
They were so happy listening to it and promised that they will help me in making it successful.
I am so nervous about tomorrow. Either thing will go as we planned or will completely fail.
I prayed to god to support me and give me the strength to accomplish our plan tomorrow.
I tried to sleep but I couldn't.

Kartik's POV
"Tomorrow will be the best day of your life," What did she mean?
For the past one hour, I've been thinking about what she meant.
She also smirked looking at Vedika.
What did that mean? Ughhhhh!
How can I get engaged now after having such a hot kiss with Naira?
Didn't she want me as much I want her? Of course, she does. Otherwise, she wouldn't have kissed me like that.
I need to talk to her and sort out things. I cant go and attend the party tomorrow with such confusion.
I should choose between Naira and Vedika.
If Naira agrees, without a second thought I will choose her itself. But I need to do that soon before the party starts.
I tried calling Naira but her phone was switched off.

I couldn't sleep all night thinking about that wonderful kiss and also worried about what will happen.
Naira and her family will be coming an hour before the party so I will directly ask her there.
If she tells me that she is serious about me I will talk to Papa regarding it.
I will not lose her by any chance. But what if she tells no?
Fuck Kartik don't overthink.
Soon it was 4:30 in the evening and the party starts at 6.
I was told to get ready soon and come downstairs.
I wore a black Tuxedo with a royal blue tie gifted by Keerti and Naksh.
Today morning itself this order was delivered and when I asked Keerti about it she said it was a surprise.
I had to wear it because Keerti gifted it to me.
I entered the living room and found Naitik uncle and Akshara aunty talking to Papa and Mumma respectively.
Naksh and Keerti were talking to Dadi and Chachu.
I didn't find the person whom I am looking for the most.
It was 5:25 already and she isn't here.
When I asked Naksh about Naira, he said that she won't be coming today.
That's it, my heart was broken into zillions of pieces.
SHE WON'T COME TODAY. I DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO HER. OUR KISS DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING TO HER.
I tried calling her to talk but it was switched off.
Why the hell is her phone switched off all the time.
I had to keep my phone aside seeing the Gupta family arrive.
Vedika wore a heavy ball gown with tons of makeup on her face.
I didn't like it at all.
As usual, she stuck to me like a fevicol.
Soon the guests arrived, media people started to come.
My mood was so bitter. I wanted to go away from here but I can't.
I had a small hope on Naira but she broke it.
I forcefully had to smile and greet all the guests.
It was 7:30 and everybody has arrived. Papa told me that he will be announcing the engagement soon.
I was standing beside the dias when all the lights turned off at once, panicking everybody in the room.
But the very next moment few dim lights were switched on, light music started to play, and a woman wearing a long gown walked gracefully into the room grabbing everybody's attention.
From a distance itself, she was looking like an angle even though her face wasn't visible clearly.
I moved towards her to see who it was. Her personality and walk felt very much familiar to me.
Slowly all the lights switched on one by one which made it easy for me to look clearly at the beautiful woman standing there.
When I saw her face, I was shocked, surprised, happy, and whatnot.
A huge grin made it onto my face.
It was her.
