He was about to say everything..but suddenly her phone rang...
She took it out
" Hello..." She said in frustration
" Hey .. happy birthday Shanu ....why so serious.." riya asked
It was riya...
" Riyu...ghar ake baat karti hu" she said
" Bahar hai kya?" She asked
" Haa... humari ghar gaye the" Shanaya replied..
" Kisne tumse....oh..god ...rishi ko phone do...phata phat" Riya said in anger
" Kya hua..." She asked
" Do .." riya again stressed
" Ok..."
She gave phone to rishi ..he stopped the car ..
" Hello..." He said
" Rishi what's all this...rishi it's her 9 th month...uski kabhi bhi delivery ho sakti hai.and you know now a days she is very weak and your baby is very strong... aur tum use lekar ghoom rahe ho" riya scolded him..
" Sorry riya .. today it's her birthday na so mom told us to visit mandir...that's why..." He said
" Ok...now go home...dheere se gaadi chalana ok?" Riya said and hung up the call...
He carefully drive the car and it was total silence there....
They reached home...he dropped her and went back to office...

" Aa gayi beta....itni der kyu lagi ane mein" priya asked caressing her face...
" Maa hum meri orphanage mein bhi gaya...i used to visit there every b'day" Shanaya said
" Thik hai.... now go and take rest" she said and Shanaya slowly went to her room...
She reached the room and sat on her bed thinking about what rishi was about to say....
Suddenly again her phone rang...it was Riya...
"Shanu. .ghar ayi kya?" She asked
Shanaya : hmm
Riya : kya hua...
Shanaya : kuch nahi...
Riya : mujhse chut bol rahi ho ?
Shanaya : no I'm telling the truth ..
Riya : Shanu don't pretend that you are ok.... atleast not before me"
Now Shanaya couldn't control anymore...
She broken down before her...
" Shanu ...kya hua...batao...kya rishi ne kuch kaha" riya asked...
She said everything to riya and confessed to her that she loves him...
Riya : " Shanu tum...tum kya keh rahi hoo...what if he came to know it? Agar use esa kuch bhi nahi ho to...."
Shanaya : i don't know riya but i can't....i just can't stay without him....i want him to be with me ... i don't know"
She cried out...
Riya :" ro mat Shanu...sab kuch thik ho jayega....is Time pe rona nahi chahiye..it will increase your blood pressure... difficult ho jayegi yaar..."
Shanaya : "no I'm ok....vo mujhe wife maane ya na maane ...i just want to confess it to him before I go...yeah that's it..."
Riya : " Shanu are you serious"
Shanaya : "I'm cen percent sure"
Riya : acha chalo..tum stress mat lo...mein phone rekh rahi hoo...hum iski bare mein baad mein baat karte hai..thik hai...ab mujhe jaana hai... emergency hai... happy birthday once again ha.."
Shanaya :hmm..ok thanks yaar...
By saying this she cut the call... and sar there looking outside...
Don't know when she drifted into deep slumber....

At evening ,
Rishi came back with a sad face and saw Shanaya , Rohan and priya sitting on the sofa , discussing about something...
He saw Shanaya with a gloomy face...
He stood there and looked at her...
" Lo...Bhai.. correct time pe aa gaya..." Rohan said breaking his trance...
" It's good rishi that you came ...now you tell me ...we have to do her baby shower na?" Priya asked in excitement..
Buy suddenly Shanaya interuppted
" No ma...kya zaroorat hai sab ko bulane ki..."
" sab ko bulane keliye nahi beta ... sirf humari kuch friends...rishi ki friends aur uski family...bas..." Priya said
" But maa..." She was about to say again priya interuppted
" Beta it's a simple ritual..trust me koi pareshani nahi hogi tumhari.."
" Maa aisa nahi hai..." Shanaya replied
" So ... what's your opinion rishi.. "priya asked ignoring her disagreement
" Ok ...well... we'll do it ...no problem..." He said keeping an eye on Shanaya..
Shanaya shocked ti the core hearing that....
She can't believe her ears....
Shanaya 's pov
Did he said yes....he wasn't interested in these things and today...he is saying that he'll arrange my baby shower...Like seriously...
Today I want to know why he is doing this much for me...

" Ok... Can we fix the day after tomorrow for that rishi ?" Priya asked in excitement
" As your wish maa..." He replied and went to his room...
" So the date is fixed... bhabhi be ready.." Rohan said and she smiled at him ..

After sometime,
She entered her room and saw rishi laying on the sofa and it's unusual for him...
She went and sat beside his legs
" What happened" she asked in a soft voice..
" Nothing much....just a headache..." He said closing his eyes...
"Hmm" she replied and
She stood up and took some oinment from cupboard...
She sat beside his head ..took some oinment in her hands and started massaging his head....he recognised her touch....shivers ran down through his spines when he felt her touch... his mind wished to kiss her palms immediately ...
He opened his eyes slowly and looked at her...
" No...need it's ok" he said..
" Just lie there rishi... don't take stress..poora din laptop mein dekhta rahta hai to yahi hoga" she said in concern...
He didn't said anything...he just lied there like an obedient child looking at her....
She didn't saw it as she was busy in massaging...now he could feel relaxed and peace when her cool hands touches his forehead....
" Shanaya can I ask you something" he asked
" Mm"
" Can I lay in your lap?" he asked
She looked at him...tears welled up in her eyes...but she controlled it
" Did he also feel the same what I'm feeling for him?" She thought...
" Shanaya... did I ask anything wrong?" He asked which bought her back to sense...
" No...you can " she replied smiling slightly
He slowly rested his head in her lap without harming her baby bump...
She placed her hands and started massaging his temples....
He closed his eyes...
Rishi's pov
Finally I can feel solace and peace....
I'm in her lap...in my wife's lap...my life's lap....what else can I feel when I was in her lap.... should I say her now.... but how... before saying my Love... i want to ask her forgiveness...yes...first she has to forgive me ..then I will confess my love..I know Shanaya I hurted you a lot...I played with your emotions...I didn't bother about your ups and downs of emotions...at that time,i was blind... blind in my belief that all women are gold diggers and like my brother's ex- wife...but I know Shanaya that you are not like that...i don't know whether you have feelings for me or not..but I will always love you...even if you left me and our baby...

After sometimes he felt he slowly drowning into sleep....he slept peacefully in her lap....
She caressed his hairs and understood that he was asleep...
She slowly caressed his hairs ...
A lone tear escaped from her eyes
She pecked on his forehead...
He slowly placed his head on the pillow and slowly stood up holding her baby bump...
She was about to move forward, suddenly she felt a tug on her saree pallu....
Her eyes filled with tears...
" Rishi!!!" She murmured under her breathe and looked back...
She saw him peacefully sleeping and her pallu stuck on sofa ....
She slowly pulled it back and went back to her bed..
She sat there looking at him....and by sitting there ...she slowly drifted off into sleep...
