Plot: you react to his new haircut

You were at the Hype House waiting on Vinnie to come back home. He had been out and told you that he'd be back soon.
After conversation go with Thomas in the kitchen, the door open to reveal a brand new Vinnie.
His blonde curls had been cut off, only leaving his brown roots that had grown out. It was short in the back and longer in the front.
His lips were pressed into a fine line, giving you an expression that said yeah, I know.
You covered your mouth with your hands, the only thing you could say was "oh my god".
"Well look who we have here." Thomas laughed.
"It looks so good!" You exclaimed.
Vinnie approached you and took your hand in his, leading you to go up to his room. You could tell from his body language that he wanted you all to himself right now.
"Why didn't you tell me you were getting a haircut?" You asked as he closed the door.
"Wanted it to be a surprise." He replied and sat on the bed.
It was a shock to say the least. You wonder how long he'd been planning to do this.
"Oh fuck me." He groaned and put his hands over his face.
"Don't tell me you don't like it." You said.
"It's just shorter than I wanted. Like, the dude, he started cutting from the sides. And I was like 'Okay' because I could get this length and still have longer hair on the top. And the guy was like 'I'm gonna cut it down to your nose. And that's what I normally have, but with this, I have to pull it all the way down. Just wasn't what I wanted."
"Why didn't you say anything?" You sighed.
"Because I'm too much of a pussy to say 'no'.
"Well if it means anything," you sat down next to him. "I really do like it."
It was like looking at an older, younger version of him. If that makes sense. Like 2019 Vinnie but with tattoos. You felt bad that he couldn't see how handsome he looked.
He gave you a soft smile and kissed the side of your head. It did mean a lot that you liked it, even if he didn't for a little while.
