Jo's POV.
It's been a month and it's my birthday today. I'm eighteen. I dyed my hair a different color.
Hair
I get up from bed and change into my party dress and smile at myself in my mirror. I do my makeup, and put my hair in a cute updo. I throw on my heels and walk out of my room into the living room.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
The Pogues all yell. I smile.
'Thank you guys.'
"Look sis we made a cake."
'Aww JB thank you.'
Cake
'I love it. Thank you guys.'
"We got here early to make it. To surprise you."
Kie says.
'What time is it?'
"Noon we let you sleep in."
JJ says.
'That was nice of you guys.'
"You look hot Jo."
'Why thank you Sarah.'
Outfit
l"Let's eat cake."
'I'm with ya brotha.'
"And don't think the day is over yet we have a lot planned."
Pope says. i look at them all.
'Oh really like what?'
"That's a surprise"
'It's your birthday too, ya know.'
I smile.
"Yeah but I wanna celebrate my first birthday with you and make it all about my sister."
'You're sweet JB.'
He cuts the cake and we all eat a piece and laugh and joke around. We smoke a blunt.
"Put on this blindfold."
JJ says.
'Uh okay!'
He helps me put it on.
"I'll lead you out."
JJ grabs my hand and I walk with him. We get into the van and I don't know where we're going.
'Guys where are we going?'
"If we told it would ruin the surprise."
My brother says.
'Ugh fine.'
We stop.
"Alright Jo let's get out."
JJ says. He helps me out of the van and we start to walk and I almost fall.
'I'm gonna fall in these heels'
"I brought an extra pair of sandals."
Kie says.
'Can you please get them?'
"Yeah"
She runs to the van and gets them and comes back.
"Me and Pope will lift her up and you put them on her."
JJ says.
'Or I can do it myself.'
"You can't take your blindfold off yet."
JJ and Pope lift me up and Kie and Sarah take off my heels and put on the sandals. The boys put me down.
"Alright almost there's a little bit more walking."
We walk more
"Okay stop."
"Take off the blindfold"
John B says. I take it off and I see all my friends from California.
'Oh my god.'
"Happy birthday little witch."
Stiles says.
'Ahh you're here.'
I run over to them and we all hug. We stop. I look at Stiles and we hug. I hug him tight.
'I missed you so much.'
"I missed you more."
We just hug for a good moment. I see Lydia take a picture of it. You might be wondering why I'm so excited to see Stiles. That's because something bad happened after I left and he went missing and they told me to stay here even though I wanted to come. Theo promised he would find him because he knew I didn't wanna lose anyone else. I still don't have my powers I've tried but nothing yet. He puts me down and looks at me.
'I'm glad you're alright.'
He smiles.
"So we gonna party or not?"
Theo says.
'Let's party.'
We turn on some music and dance and drink and smoke a lot. I shotgun and we all laugh and hang out. Me and the girls dance and start to twerk while the boys cheer us on. We all laugh. Me and Lydia sexy dance together and it makes Stiles go crazy. Him and Lydia aren't dating anymore. After he told her he's still in love with me. But me and Lydia are good friends, nothing will break us apart. Am I in love with Stiles idk. He said I was like his sister so that's weird to date him right? I go to get some vodka and JJ comes over.
"Having fun Jo?"
'The best time ever.'
I pour some and take a sip and look at him.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a walk?"
'I'd love to JJ.'
We go over to the others.
"We're going for a walk."
"Have fun you two."
JJ takes my hand and we start to walk away from everyone.
"So Jo, what's your favorite part about today so far?"
'This'
I smile and he smiles back.
"I'm glad to hear that."
'You know JJ Maybank, maybe we can make this work.'
"What do you mean?"
He looks at me.
'Us like dating wise but first let's just hang out and not date, don't wanna rush it's been a month since Scott died don't want anyone to think I moved on too fast.'
"I can wait for you whenever you're ready."
'Thank you.'
We walk on the side of the road. He stops and looks at me. I look at him.
"Can I kiss you?"
'I'd like that.'
He smiles and kisses me. He pulls back and smiles at me. He puts his arm around me.
"Let's go swimming."
'So back to the others?'
"Yep."
He picks me up and puts me over his shoulder and starts to walk.
'I can walk, you know.'
"I know I just need a workout."
'Oh so you're calling me fat?'
"The only thing fat is your ass."
'Haha thanks I think.'
He laughs and I smile. We get back to the others and he sits me down. I take off my clothes and I'm in my bikini.
Bikini
Me and JJ run into the water with others.
"Hey JJ, Jo smile for a picture."
Kie says. We pose.
"Send me that."
'Me too.'
We swim and laugh. We pretend to drown each other and play chicken. I should've said I took my makeup off before I got into the water. JJ looks at me.
"You're so beautiful."
'Stop you're gonna make me blush.'
"Good."
He smiles. Stiles and Lydia swim over to us and we splash each other and laugh and joke around. We get out and drink and smoke some more. It's getting very late now.
"Hey we should head back to Cali."
Stiles says.
'Aw okay, stay safe alright?'
"I will."
We hug tightly.
'I love you.'
"I love you too."
We stop hugging and I hug the others.
"Don't go crazy since you're eighteen now."
'I won't Allie.m
"Also keep in touch."
'Always do."
We hug again and smile and they all walk away. It's just me and the Pogues now.
"Still party?"
Pope asks.
'Hell yeah!'
We play music, dance and drink. I have a blunt in my mouth and twerk on Kie.
"Get it Josie."
Sarah says hyping me up.
"Sis stop my eyes."
John B covers his eyes. I laugh and stop and walk over to JJ and put the blunt in his mouth and turn around. He grabs my hand and spins me around to face him. He smiles with the blunt in his mouth and he starts to twirl me and dips me. He puts the blunt in my mouth and brings me back up.
"I know I got moves."
He winks. I smile and take the blunt out of my mouth.
'Yes you do.'
I put it back in my mouth and hit it. We dance around some more. And then clean up and take the party back to the house. We get into the hot tub and act stupid and laugh. It's now midnight and we all get out and head back inside I get in my pj's and JJ comes into my room.
"Those are cute Pj's"
'Why thank you.'
PJs
I smile and walk over to him and grab his hand and throw him on the bed.
'You're sleeping here tonight.'
"Alright."
'I'll be back'
I walk out of my room and go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and my phone buzzes. JJ tagged me in an Instagram post.

I walk out of the bathroom and to my room.
'Thank you JJ.'
"You're welcome."
I jump in the bed and accidentally jump on him.
"Ow Josie"
'Haha sorry.'
I laugh and lay down and look at him. He smiles and kisses me. I kiss him back. He pulls back and smiles.
"Goodnight beautiful."
'Goodnight'
I lay on his chest and he kisses my head. He plays with my hair and I fall asleep. But all I can think about is Scott.
