Ranboo pov
I think I've done well for myself.
I'm the weeks I've been living here I've already got a job, I work in a little studio shop selling records and albums
It's nice and peaceful
I cringe at anyone who walks in and asks for an endermen CD they can't be that big of fans of the band or they'd recognise me, I know I used to wear a mask and glasses but I was still very recognisable.
I wasn't upset. I liked being in the background. But I hated fake fans, the ones that pretend to enjoy the music I helped create
But life was going well, with all things considered. Of course I still missed Tubbo every second of the day but I had to move on knowing he was safe. And that's what helped me sleep at night.
"RANBOO!" A girl chimed from the next room
"Yes Gwen" I returned smiling as she walked through the door
"How long are you in the studio for tonight?"
"I think I'll close if thats ok" I asked sending her a soft smile
"You sure? You know you don't have to" Gwen spoke coming into the room more, almost sitting on my desk
"Yeah I like staying late" I smiled hoping she'd ask no further questions
Unfortunately I was wrong
"Is everything ok at home? I get you want the money but you close every night... I'm just a bit concerned" Gwen softly spoke almost like a whisper
"My home life is fine. I live in my own so no one can upset me... I just, it reminds me of...things, when I'm there. When I'm here in the studio I can let my mind wander you know?" I slightly joke but the serious undertone remained
"Yeah I know what you mean" Gwen said placing her hand on top of mine "I'm here if you ever need me"
"Thanks... what time are you leaving tonight?" I asked, returning the question to her
"Well since your closing, I might leave in a couple of hours. When it gets quiet" she answered and I nodded at her response
An hour passed and Gwen once again came back into my room, completely ignoring the customers that wanted her attention
"RANBOO HAVE YOU HEARD!" She exclaimed
"No calm down what is it?" I asked hoping her panting would stop, and after a few minutes it did
"The endermen" she began and it stuck a quick dagger in my heart. "Their doing another show... here in cube city!" She shouted
"They're coming here!" I shouted. I wasn't sure if I was excited or haunted. My heart leaped out of my body but I felt so incredibly sick
"Yeah! Do you wanna go, tickets will run out quick"
I didn't know how to answer. I couldn't watch the band I used to be in perform in... could I?
But my mouth moved before I could truly think about it "of course!"
