ANNABELLE
I SHUDDERED as I pulled on the cuffs of my sleeves from underneath my jean jacket. I cautiously looked around as I followed Pietro and Wanda through a fence gate into an abandoned church. I grabbed onto Wanda's hand as people muttered in German outside the fence.
We were instructed to meet with someone in the church after we found out Strucker was killed. Pietro and Wanda didn't want to take me, but we were given clear orders that this person wanted all three of us.
"Talk, and if you are wasting our time..." Wanda began as she let go of my hand.
"Did you know this church is in the exact center of the city?" A deep robotic sounding voice asked. "The elders decreed it so that everyone could be equally close to God. I like that. The geometry of belief..." Pietro pushed me further behind him as Wanda made her way closer to the mysterious voice. I looked around Pietro's back to see the flicker of a fire shine across the figures' metal legs and arms. There was a short pause before the man began to speak again. "You're wondering why you can't look inside my head." He told Wanda.
"Sometimes it's hard. But sooner or later, every man shows himself." She told him. The man or more specifically robot stood up, revealing itself, and took off a tainted blanket that covered his upper half. I gasped and jumped behind Pietro. Wanda took some steps back as she raised her hands in case the robot would attack us.
"Oh, I'm sure they do. But you needed something more than a man. That's why you let Stark take the scepter." The robot spoke as it got closer to us. I gripped the back of Pietro's jacket as I peaked around his arms, his hands in fists at his sides.
"I didn't expect it, but I saw Stark's fear. I knew it would control him. Make him self-destruct." Wanda explains.
"Everyone creates the thing they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create...smaller people? Uh...Children." It chuckled. "I lost the word, there. Children. Designed to supplant them, to help them end."
"Is that why you've come, to end the Avengers?" Wanda asks.
"I've come to save the world. But also...Yeah." It finishes.
I shuddered at the thought of helping destroy the Avengers. I never really liked the killing and torturing that we were created to do. But wherever Wanda and Pietro went, I was going to follow them. Where else would I go? What was I supposed to do?

THE ROBOT, or Ultron, took us back to the now abandoned Hydra base and went to the room where they had stored a giant floating alien ship and other small gadgets.
"We'll move out right away. This is a start, but there's something we need to begin the real work." Ultron explained.
"All of these are..." Wanda started, gesturing towards the human sized robots that were working throughout the space.
"Me." It replied. "I have what the Avengers never will. Harmony. They're discordant. Disconnected. Stark's already got them turning on each other. And when you get inside the rest of their heads..."
"Everyone's plan is not to kill them." Pietro told him.
"And make them martyrs? You need patience. Need to see the big picture." Ultron spoke as he grew closer to us again and I shuffled towards Wanda.
"I don't see the big picture. I have a little picture. I take it out and look at it every day." Pietro told it.
"You lost your parents in the bombings. I've seen the records." Ultron bent over as it met my eyeline. "And you, little one...well, they just didn't want you." Ultron chuckled and I looked down at my feet.
"The records are not the picture." Pietro said defensively.
"Pietro," Wanda began.
"No, please." Ultron amused.
"We were 10 years old. Having dinner, the four of us. When the first shell hits, two floors below, it makes a hole in the floor. It's big. Our parents go in and the whole building starts coming apart. I grab her, roll under the bed, and the second shell hits. But it doesn't go off. It just sits there in the rubble. Three feet from our faces. And on the side of the shell is painted one word." Pietro tells him.
"Stark." Wanda finishes. I grabbed onto Wanda's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Wanda sucked in her lips before squeezing back.
"We were trapped for two days." Pietro adds.
"Every effort to save us, every shift in the bricks, I think, 'This will set it off.' We wait for two days for Tony Stark to kill us."
"I know what they are." Pietro tells him.
As much as I ache for what Pietro and Wanda went through, I don't know if I'll ever be able to do to Tony Stark what they want to do.
"I wondered why only you three survived Strucker's experiments. Now I don't. We will make it right. You and I can hurt them." Ultron states, gesturing towards Pietro and me before turning to Wanda. "But you will tear them apart from the inside." Ultron spoke as I felt tears come into my eyes.
