Olajide Olatunji.
The next morning, all I could think about is Simon. And his appearance yesterday. He looked so tired out.
I was so worried.
I walked out of my room, only some joggers and a tank top on me.
The house was empty, as in nobody was there. There was only one room I hadn't checked.
Simon's.
Walking towards his room, I checked if his crepes were there. They were.
So he had to be there.
Knock, knock. I knocked several times, no answer.
As yesterday, I let myself in.
He was sat in his bed, half asleep.
The poor boy looked so tired.
"Hello, buddy.", I calmly spoke. I didn't want him to know I was worried.
"Hey.", He said, almost whispered.
"Are you okay? You know you can talk to me.", I reassured.
"I'm okay, thanks J.", he smiled. I knew it was fake, but I didn't want to annoy him.
"Simon, I'm not a fool. What's on your mind?", Guess I did want to 'annoy' him.
"JJ, I just feel ill. There's nothing more or less to it.", He assured me, but I was one hundred percent sure there was more to it. But, I took this as a sign to not continue questioning him.
"Okay. If you need me, my phone's on.", I smiled at him, getting up to leave.
"JJ, wait!", Simon yelled as I was walking out of his room.
I hummed in response.
"Sorry that I was so annoying yesterday. I was just worried that something might've happened.", He whispered. I knew it, he was for sure overthinking it.
"Hey, don't worry about it. You were just looking out for me. That's what any great friend would do.
It's my fault for reacting to rudely.", I told him gently, giving him a slight hug.
He frowned at my last sentence. He hugged me back, hiding his face from me.
But I saw it.

Still Olajide Olatunji.
Today's the day. After a few months of dating her, making sure that we'd last long, I wanted to introduce her to my friends. Family's a little too much, she'll meet them soon.
Though, I think my friends already have a clue of what's going on. Especially Simon. He's been on me for these last weeks, firing questions after questions. They range from where I am going, to who I'm with. I just tell him my mate's.
He knows all of my mates, though.
So today, I've asked all the Sidemen to come over to ours. I was going to tell Simon to stay home today, but he never went out, anyway. So I didn't need to go do that.
They arrived one by one, I got so fucking nervous. What if they didn't like her? I hope they well. I'm not sure.
"Why'd you want us here, lad?", Josh asked, the rest focussing on out conversation.
"I want to show you lot something.", I said, my voice slightly jumpy. It's because I'm nervous.
"Oh, well it better fucking be money. I know you've got tons of that.", Harry jokes. At least, I think he's joking.
The rest of the boys laugh at his words.
Ding! A message. She told me she was 2 minutes away.
Fuck, fuck, fuck. I was so nervous.
"I'll be right back, yeah?", I said, nervously. They all nodded in response.
———
I went outside, waiting for her.
I'm gonna talk to her before we walk in.
There she was, stepping out of her car. She looked so good. She was wearing my hoodie and some skinny jeans.
Oh god, I actually love her.
"Hey babe!", She said, walking over to me.
"Hey!", I gave her a casual hug.
"You nervous?", I asked her. She started holding and squeezing my hand.
"A little, yeah. I hope they'll like me.", She said, her head down.
"Hey, they'll like you. I'm sure of it.", I smiled at her. She smiled back and we entered the flat.
As we walked into the main room, all their faces turned to us. They all had a quite shocking facial expression.
"So guys, this right here. Is Amelia, my girlfriend.", I said, a big smile on my face.
She waved at them. God, she's adorable.
"Hello Amelia! I'm Vik.", He politely introduced himself.
"Hello lad, I'm Harry.", Harry casually said, munching on some crisps.
"Hi, I'm Josh.", And so they continued to introduce theirselves.
At least, most of them. Simon didn't.
"And that's Simon.", I shot it as everybody had already introduced themselves.
He sent her a smile, which was very fake. I think even she noticed that.
———
To my surprise, they all got along very well. They acted like they knew her for time.
It was actually so great to see. Everyone was downstairs, either munching on some snacks I prepared, or just there chatting. Ask for Simon, he went up to his room after the introduction. I don't know why, maybe I should go get him.
"Hey, I'll be right back.", I told the room. I got a few murmurs in response.
I walked up to Simon's room and knocked once. No reply as per usual.
I let myself in.
"Ever heard of knocking, dipshit?", He spoke, slightly annoyed.
"I did knock- once, but you didn't answer.", I said, grinning a little.
"Okay? What do you want. You have your girlfriend and best friends downstairs.", Simon concluded.
"You're the missing best friend. Come to the main room.", I asked him.
"No.", He replied.
"Why not? We're all having fun, but it's missing the peak of fun. You get me?", I said.
He laughed at me, "You sounded bare dumb. I'm not coming down, Jide. Beat it.", He rolled his eyes, so annoyed.
I don't know why.
"Jesus, fine.", I said, walking out of the room.

Simon Minter
JJ was gonna announce something. He seemed happy, yet nervous about it.
I wonder what it was. I was talking to Tobi, the both of us laughing at our dumb sentences.
Then, my face dropped.
Tremendously.
"So guys, this right here. Is Amelia, my girlfriend.", He spoke, smiling at her.
What? I knew it. I should've expected this.
She waved at us. I'm already annoyed at her appearance.
Everyone introduced themselves, smiling at her. Ew.
I didn't introduce myself. Why should I?
"And that's Simon.", JJ said, assuming I wasn't gonna introduce myself.
I shot her a very, very fake smile. I think the both of them noticed that.
Instead of joining in on their conversations, I got up and went to my room.
What's wrong with me?
He's my best friend, I should be happy for him.
Why can't I be?
Why is she here? Hell, I don't even know her and I hate her already.
She's also so fucking perfect, it's annoying. Her pretty cerulean blue eyes. Gorgeous blonde locks.
Their height difference was ideal for any couple. Not to mention, her body's shaped like an hourglass. I think she was even wearing his hoodie. I can't stand the fact that she's so perfect.
What am I on about? He's my mate's girlfriend. I should be happy for them.
It's so fucking hard, though.
- this is gonna be their conversation but in Simon's point of view, skip if not interested. you'll see "———" after their conversation -
The train of thoughts soon ran out of engine when my door opened.
"Ever heard of knocking, dipshit?", I said. I was genuinely irritated. I didn't want to see his face.
"I did knock- once, but you didn't answer.", He grinned. I don't want to see his stupid, yet cute, grin.
"Okay? What do you want. You have your girlfriend and best friends downstairs.", I told him. I was being so rude, but I was irritated. I couldn't help it.
"You're the missing best friend. Come to the main room.", He claimed. You have your stupid girlfriend down there.
You don't need me.
"You sounded bare dumb. I'm not coming down, Jide. Beat it.", I laughed at him and focused on my phone.
"Jesus, fine.", He seemed somewhat hurt with what I said. It would be stupid for him to be hurt, though.
I didn't say anything wrong, right?
———
I was in my room all day. I heard the front door open and close multiple times.
I think everyone's gone.
Seeming as I thought everyone was gone, I went to the main room.
I opened the corridor's door, and was proven wrong.
That girl was still here. I can't remember her name.
I don't remember things that don't matter.
"Hey Si!", JJ said from the sofa, an arm around his girlfriend.
"Hi!", She smiled at me. Why is she talking to me?
"Hello. I'll be gone in a little. I'm just grabbing food.", I said, my tone annoyed.
"You can stay?", She reported. I rolled my eyes almost instantly.
Only JJ saw that.
I didn't respond to her. I just went to the kitchen, grabbing an apple.
As I walked to the hallway, a voice called for me.
"Simon, come watch a film with us!", JJ proposed.
"I think I'm good, thanks.", I said. I really wanted to join him, but she's there. So no way.
"Babe, I've got to go. My mum needs me.", The girl spoke. Babe? Seriously?
"Okay, I'll see u Amelia.", JJ said, holding her hand as they walked to the front door.
Oh yeah, her name's Amelia. What a shit name.
She left our flat. Thank god.
"Simon, please watch this film with me. I want to watch it but not alone.", He asked, giving me puppy eyes.
"Fine, Jide.", I smiled, dumbfounded by his eyes. What's wrong with me? God's sake.
We sat down on the sofa. He pressed play and we started watching.
"So, what do you think of Amelia?", He asked me, searching for eye contact.
"She's alright.", I scoffed. I lied, of course. And I think he noticed that.
"Now your real opinion?", He laughed. I wasn't giving him the eye contact he was looking for. Because I know I'd crumble under his sight.
"I don't know, JJ. I haven't spoken to her. She seems okay.", I sighed.
Why am I feeling like this? It doesn't make sense. He's my best friend.
This is so weird. I have never felt like this for him before. What do these feelings mean?
What's going on?
God, I need help.
