Izuku drags Todoroki downstairs to join the rest of their classmates who insisted on watching a movie after dinner.
Todoroki and Izuku are some of the last to arrive, leaving them to either share the armchair or sit on cushions on the floor. They both blush when Kaminari teasingly suggests they sit together, though quickly Shoto offers to sit right in front of Izuku rather than sharing.
Todoroki rests his back against Izukus legs. As Kirishima walks down the stairs with Bakugo, he watches Momo grab Jirous hand.
The movie begins and soon most of the class, including Izuku, are singing along to the songs of The Little Mermaid. In just two hours Todoroki is having more fun than the entire weekend at home.
The boys still awake hours later when everyone had gone to bed. He just stares at the ceiling, thinking about the fight between his brother and his father.
Natsuo barely came home anymore, not like he had much of a relationship with him anyway. In high school, his brother would take any chance he got to be out of the house, which made Fuyumi worry to no end. He'd been at the table one night with them when Fuyumi confessed how afraid she was when Natsuo wouldn't be home until the early hours of the morning.
His phone vibrates beside him and he holds it above his face, squinting at the light. It had been a few hours since he'd played his boyfriend back in their iMessage game of darts.

Are you awake?
To: Izuku
Yeah. Are you alright?
From: Izuku
Can I come over?
Everyone was supposed to be in their own rooms after 9:30 on school nights. Weekends the kids could get permission for sleepovers, but Todoroki doesn't even think twice before telling the other he could.
Todoroki watches as the door opens without a knock, and Izuku crawls into the bed with him, "Bad dream?"
Izuku nods, "I don't really wanna talk about it," he whispers, "How was your weekend?"
Todoroki tells him about everything, trying to keep the boy distracted. On Friday night Fuyumi took him out to dinner, and the next morning they went grocery shopping together. He even told him about studying alone in his room Saturday afternoon.
He explains how him and his sister watched a cooking show, and made lunch based on one of the recipes. He describes the fight between Natsuo and their dad over the meal, which ended with Fuyumi crying.
Izuku just listens, with his head laying on his boyfriends shoulder. His breathing is even, the other boys voice calming him, his heart rate returns to normal.
They lay in the quiet for awhile, content with the other in the bed, "My dreams..."
Izuku smiles when Todoroki jumps at his voice, though it can't be seen in the darkness of the room. He sighs, turning onto his side towards the boy, "They're about my mom," Izuku says quietly.
Todoroki also turns towards him so they're both facing each other. Izuku had never called her his 'mom' before, "Inko?"
"Yeah." Todoroki stays quiet. He doesn't want to pressure Izuku into telling him any specifics, though he can't help the curiosity. The room is silent, other than their breathing.
Izuku continues after awhile of staring into the crimson and gray eyes, "I think I want to see her again."
"Really?"
The boy nods, "Don't tell anyone. I don't want my dads or Bakugo to know."
Todoroki's eyebrows furrow in confusion. He has never met anyone with a better relationship with their parents than Izuku. And his boyfriend hated secrets. His eyes widen when he realizes, "You don't plan on meeting her alone, do you?"
Izuku quickly shakes his head, grasping Todoroki's hand in his, bringing it out from under the cover and placing a kiss on it, "No, no way. I'm not going to live in fear because of Hisashi, but I'm not stupid. And right now it's just an idea."
Well, it's an idea with a semi-plan formulating in his head, but his boyfriend doesn't need to know that. Izuku turns over, pulling the boys hand which brings Todoroki's arm around him. The bi-colored haired boy listens as Izuku drifts of to sleep, his breathing calm and slow, until eventually he pulls him tighter and falls asleep himself.

After therapy the next day, Izuku enters Hizashi's apartment. His papa must still be out chauffeuring his students so he quickly enters his room. He has to pull over the desk chair to reach the top shelf of the closet. He struggles to keep his balance as he swipes his arm through the sweaters and sweatshirts.
He feels the cold corner of a metal box when the door to the bedroom opens and Izuku is startled enough to send the chair tipping over, but right as he braces himself for the impact of the ground, something cold and slimy is wrapped around him, "Ulgh," he groans in disgust as the tentacle places him on the ground.
Amajiki is standing in the doorway, now with the tentacle gone, his arms crossed, "What are you doing?"
Izuku fakes a laugh, closing his eyes, "Oh, I'm just, uh, grabbing a sweatshirt!" He swallows, "What are you doing?"
"I just got back from Hosu. I was gonna check in with Mr. Yamada." He narrows his eyes, "Now what are you actually doing?"
The boy blushes at being caught in the lie, "Only if you pinky promise not to tell dads."
Amajiki just looks at the pinky being outreached towards him, "Depends. If it's something stupid I'm going to tell them."
"Tamaki..." Izuku whines, glancing nervously at the door.
"What were you looking for?"
"It's nothing bad, I promise!" Izuku sighs, "I don't want to hurt Dad or Papa's feelings, I just wanted to see my adoption stuff. And find my moms information," he adds the last part quietly.
Amajiki looks behind him as well before shutting the door and approaching the younger boy. He reaches for the chair, holding it steady and instructs him to continue.
This time Izuku easily grabs the box, and places it on the bed. He looks around the room and asks Amajiki to lift the dictionary off the top shelf of the desk. Amajiki pulls out a key, "How did you-"
He snatches the key from his brothers hand and opens the box, "They used to hide it under a photo album, then a vase. I figured they'd go back to a book when we moved."
Izuku flicks through the papers in the box, though he pauses and smiles at his updated birth certificate which list his dads as his parents. He finds a file folder and pulls it out. He snaps a couple pictures of the documents, and Amajiki looks over with curiosity, "Wait, are you going to contact her?"
He places the folder back where it belongs and locks the box. Amajiki places the key back under the large book, and holds the chair in place as Izuku moves the sweaters and sweatshirts to the side to slide the box back into it's place, "Maybe. I don't know yet."
"I don't think it's a good idea."
When Izuku's safely on the ground the two leave the room, with Izuku doing a once over to make sure everything is how his papa had left it. When they're finally settled on the couch, Izuku explains himself, "I just... I need to talk to her again. I don't want a relationship, and I don't want to have to explain to dads why I want to see her because, I guess I'm really not sure. I just-"
"Wait, you want to see her?" Amajiki sighs, "She could get in serious trouble, never mind the dangers for you-"
"Stop worrying!" This is exactly why he wanted to keep this to himself. He had gone through enough of the slow process of the court system to last a lifetime, "I'm going to be smart about this, I promise. I just want to talk to her, alright?"
Amajiki just shakes his head. There was no convincing the kid. He had been the same way at that age, except he had been caught, "Just, p-please tell me if you plan on meeting her, alright?"
Izuku promises just as the door opens. They hear Hizashi hanging his keys and he walks into the living room, grinning upon seeing his boys. Izuku stands to give him a hug, and he shares a fist bump with Amajiki, "How was your weekend, Tamaki?"
The boy smiles tiredly, "Pretty good." He starts retelling what him and FatGum did but the man doesn't let him speak too much when he notices the dark circles under his eyes.
Yamada sends him up to bed for a nap and speaks with Izuku for awhile before he goes and gets ready to go on patrol.
When Izuku returns back to the 1A dorm, he sees Bakugo, Kirishima, Todoroki, and Kaminari all outside, sparring in hand to hand combat. It isn't until the sun begins to set that the boys check the time, and they enter the dorm building to see Uraraka and Tsuyu studying at the table.
"Hey, kero. Did you finish the math homework yet?"
Todoroki and Bakugo nod, while Kirishima and Izuku blush. They had definitely forgot about the last minute assignment they had gotten on Friday. Bakugo doesn't offer to help and Kirishima follows him up the stairs.
Izuku sits next to Uraraka and Todoroki sits on the other side of Tsu, quietly checking their work. When Todoroki is finished explaining what step they had forgotten Uraraka blurts, "I'm sorry but are you two dating?!"
Both boys blush red and glance at each other nervously. Izuku tries to laugh it off. Him and Todoroki hadn't really talked about when they were going to tell their classmates. They had been rather preoccupied with Izuku being kidnapped.
After seeing a slight nod from his boyfriend, Izuku admits their relationship, "Yeah, we are. We haven't really told many people yet, but it's not a secret."
Uraraka grins, looking at Tsu, "I knew it!" The dark haired girl ribbits while Uraraka continues, "Between us, Tsuyu and I have been together since our internships."
The boys nod, and Izuku quickly excuses himself to go get his own notebook to do his homework with the group. However, he would be lying if he said he didn't look at his camera roll and quickly add the number of the woman who birthed him.
He saves it under Riku.
