Cold nights, long days

Ghost voices of long ago

Forever faded.

Once filled with laughter

Now a wasteland.

Swings once full, now empty.

The dome, once a race to the top.

The slides, once a rush.

Now all overgrown with weeds.

Empty of children,

Empty of joy,

Empty of life.

Friendships were made,

The memories fade away,

Left to rot in the minds of the old.

Once where dreams were made,

Now a reminder of what once was,

And what will never be again.
