Chapter 22
Papa Tunde

Davina was sacrificed.

Klaus had made sure, Andrea was asleep before the rest of them left, to complete the ritual. It was only when she woke up the next day, that she felt betrayed.

And worst of all, Davina and the other harvest girls didn't come back.

She could feel, that something had changed. When she went to the French Quater, graveyard the next day, she realised it was coming from that very sacred ground.

The gound, she, her mother, and her sister had once worshipped on.

For once, she followed her own instincts, heading out to the Beau, to her family crypt. And just like she feared, her mother's body was gone. Along with, her magic.

She went back to the graveyard, to find Sabine, confronting her about her mother's lost body, but when she woke back up, she was alone. It was like, nothing had even happened ...

"Where's Elijah?" Andrea demanded, marching back into the compound.

"Last time I checked, you hated him, more than the whole French Quater" Klaus taunted.

"Klaus, I'm being serious" she warned. "You need to get Elijah and Rebekah here right now."

"Already here" Rebekah announced, appearing in the doorway. "What's Klaus done this time?" she asked.

"Why do you always assume, I've done something evil?" Klaus questioned her.

"Because you usually have" she quipped back, at him.

"Can you two shut the fuck up" Andrea snapped back, drawing the attention, of both, original siblings. "I went to my family tomb today, and my mother wasn't there" she proclaimed. "Her body's completely gone, and when I went to ask Sabine about it, she knocked me out and I can't remember anything more."

"What are you saying?" Klaus asked her, dread, infecting him.

"My mother's body is gone, and Sabine didn't want me to know, whatever it is, that she knows" she explained. "My mother married the crescent alpha, Klaus. She's one of the most powerful witches, the coven ever had. If she's on their side ..." her mind trailed off.

"You really think, she would attack her own daughter?" Rebekah asked.

"No" Andrea, shook her head. "But, I do think she'll kill all of you, for dragging me back to this town" she declared.

"Oh, brilliant, another psychotic witch, is back from the dead" Rebekah muttered. "What do we do now?" she asked.

"We find her, and when we do, I force her to help me" Andrea simply declared. "You think you hold family loyalty?" she asked, shaking her head. "My mother murdered, slaughtered and burned half this town down when Marcel came after me. To this day there hasn't been a massacre like it" she remarked, shaking her head at the memories. "If the witches hadn't killed her ... this town would have become a pile of ash."

"So what do we do?" Rebekah asked.

"We kill her" Elijah declared, appearing behind her.

"We do no such thing" Andrea snapped. "I was five, when my mother died, if she becomes a problem, I'll kill her, but only I will kill her" she declared. "Understand?" she asked.

He stared at her for a moment before something flickered in his eyes, as he bowed his head. "Understood" Elijah nodded, hesitantly.

She exhaled turning back to the other two originals. "The point is, someone, stole the magic from the harvest ritual and I have quite a good feeling, in some way, my mother will end up being involved. And if she is ..."

Andrea shook her head again, dropping a neckless on the table. "Many years ago, this was my mother's talisman" she explained. "If anything can cut off her magic, it's this."

"We have a problem" one of Klaus' vampires declared, appearing in the doorway.

"Oh, brilliant, now he's here" Andrea muttered. "Should I dance on your grave next?" she asked.

"What is it?" Klaus asked, ignoring her mockeries towards the vampire.

"Two dead vampires" he declared.

"Fucks sake" Andrea muttered, slamming her fist on the desk making Rebekah flinch slightly and heading to the sitting room, leaving the three originals behind. Although, Rebekah followed her.

"Andrea," Rebekah said calmly. "I want to know" she declared. "You seem burdened, tell me about her."

For some reason, the idea was incredibly appealing to her. She wanted to let it go, she had for years, but she had always been terrified of what they would say. For one reason or another, she felt safe telling Rebekah.

"My mother was regarded as a coven elder, at the prime of her time, when she had my sister she was seen as the perfect leader. But, her fatal flaw, had always been, wanting to defy authority. So, she ran off with a wolf but actually fell in love with him. And then she had me" Andrea explained.

"I don't understand" Rebekah interrupted. "Your a powerful witch, because of your werewolf side, why wouldn't they want to keep you sweet?" she asked.

"It's better if you just see" Andrea smiled.

Her mother bent down to her level, brushing a stray hair, away from her cheek. "One day, you will be one of the most powerful witches, this world will ever see," her mother told her, a gleeful smile on her face. "Vampires, witches, werewolves, even the originals will fear you. You will be unmatchable" she assured her.

"Will I ever be like you?" she asked her, in awe.

"You have no need to be like me" her mother assured her, beaming at her. "Power is a simple thing, the only thing that makes it fatal is ego. I have complete faith, you will never fall that low."

"Mama?" she asked.

"Yes, dove."

"When can I be a wolf, like papa?" she asked.

"When you're ready."

"I never realised what she meant until I killed a man" she signed. "And she was already dead, by then. I was a lone wolf alpha with -"

She gasped, feeling a sting, run through her veins, looking down to see a golden glow running under her skin.

"Are you alright"? Rebekah asked, rushing to her side, grabbing her by the waist to support her, swaying figure.

"She's casting magic" she declared, pulling away from her and rushing over to the map, placing her mother's talisman on it.

"What's going on?" Rebekah asked her.

"My mother's earth connection is me, so by all logic when she was raised her soul had to travel through me, to regain a foot in the mortal world. It's given me some kind of magical connection" she explained. "You have to go, you'll obstruct the magic."

Rebekah instantly vamped out of the room.

"Please don't be killing him ma" she begged, beginning the spell.

~*~

She didn't know how it happened, but she ended up at the very same bar she previously met Camille at.

She threw the door open to see, an unknown witch, bending over Klaus' body, on the verge of killing him.

Andrea raised her hand, sending, burning pain, through his skull, making him fall to the ground in pain. "And what do you think, you're doing?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

He ran over to her, breaking free of the spell, and grabbing her by the throat. But she returned the movement burning his skin under her hold. "I'm stronger" she smirked, up at him.

He magically, pushed her down, onto the ground. "I have the power of an original" he declared.

She gasped, forcing a look of worry onto her face. "Oh, wait," she chuckled, dropping the facade. "Same" she laughed, letting her false facade fall, smirking once again.

She kicked him in the gut, launching him across the room. "Per se qui e fracta toi, per se qui e total toi" she intonated, as a ring of fire spread around him. He cried out, as all the blood, left his hands, leaving them essentially useless, and crippled.

"Keep to yourself" she snarled.

She ran over to the hybrid, kneeling down, next to him. "Klaus" she whispered, grabbing his face and forcing him to look at her. "Klaus are you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine" he husked.

She turned around, realising that the witch was gone. Yet, the ring of fire still remained. "Who was he?" she asked.

"Papa Tunde" he husked. "He's meant to be, over a hundred years dead. But ... he's here" he explained. "I don't know how, but he's alive."

"The harvest" she muttered. "I was right. Meaning ..."

"The most powerful witch the coven has ever seen is back" Klaus voiced, looking her straight in the eyes. "Your mother's back."

~*~

Andrea stared down at the bloody corpse of Papa Tunde, the sacrificial ring of salt, surrounding him.

"Back in the day, if the witches wanted to send a message, they'd just kill a chicken and leave it on your doorstep" Marcel declared.

Andrea glared at him. She was still raging at Klaus for bringing him along, but he had made her promise not to murder him.

Yet.

"It's rather a large and ominous chicken, wouldn't you say" Elijah replied.

"Papa Tunde defeated Rebekah with ease. Almost got me and Marcel. If he was supposed to be their prized fighter, why leave him for dead in our front yard?" Klaus asked.

"Well don't you all look cheery" Rebekah declared.

"Cause he never was" Andrea muttered to herself, fiddling with the neckless hanging around her neck.

"Listen to this, a girl has literally exploded from a grave today, as Sabine was giving a tour of the dead" Rebekah declared.

Andrea, Klaus and Elijah all stared at her in shock and worry.

"It was Monique Deavurux" she announced.

"What?" Klaus stated.

"The tourists thought it was a part of the show, but the witches are celebrating like it's some kind of bloody miracle," she said.

"Maybe it is" Marcel voiced. "They think that all hope is lost, but now a harvest girl is resurrected This is how we're gonna get Davina back Kill the witch who took her place."

"Yer, except for the fact, there's a one in three chance that witch is my mother, and that is a risk, I am not willing to take" Andrea declared. "I'd happily bet, one of those harvest witches is Céleste, your darling ex-lover," she said, looking over at Elijah.

"So we just have to find a group of resurrected witches?" Klaus asked.

"No" Andrea stated. "I will."

~*~

The building, of an old abandoned church, stood on a hill. A church she recalled far too well, from her childhood. "Oh, mama!" Andrea bellowed, the sound of her heels, clicking on the stone floor. "I'm in a pretty shit mode, so let's have this chat fast. It's been a long time" she declared.

The sound, of heels, against the rock, came from around the corner, as her mother revealed herself, from the shadows. "Hello dove" she announced, a shake to her voice. "It's been a long time, has it not."

"Are you here to kill them?" she asked, instantly. "Are you going to kill the family of your granddaughter? Your granddaughter's father?"

"I don't want to hurt them Andrea" she admitted, holding her hand out to her. She didn't wait a moment, accepting her hand and letting her guide her over to a crumbling wall, sitting down by her side.

She stared into her mother's eyes. The eyes she hadn't looked into, since she was, only a small child. "I want to know what happened mum" she finally declared, a single tear falling down her cheek. "I want to know, exactly what Marcel did to you, too dad, to us."

Amara sighed placing a trembling finger on her shoulder but Andrea immediately hit her hand, away. "I don't want you to show me, some memory of the past. I want you to tell me, mum. Or I will never forgive you" she swore.

Amara grinned, chuckling to herself. "You're holding my life in your hands" she declared. "Does Klaus Mikaelson really hold you, in such high regard?" she asked.

"He trusts me" she replied. "How else do you think I convinced him to let me track down my potentially murderous mother, who could be attempting to kill him."

"You've always had such charm to you" Amara smiled, unbothered by her vitriols. "Such elegance that can convince anyone, to do, what you want" she leant closer to Andrea, smiling at her. "You get that from your father" she whispered.

"Then what do I get from you?" she sighed.

"A terrible temper" she chuckled. "I despise Marcel Gerard, with all my heart, and I will have him dead for what he did to you, to our family. But if you really trust the Mikaelson's, then I will do everything I can to protect them" she assured her.

"The fire? Was that you?" Andrea asked.

"Yes," she replied without hesitation.

"Marcel didn't just send his men, he had witches on his side as well, because he knew, he was no match for me. A witch channelling her whole bloodline, as well as the magic of expression. He knew, that I would protect your father to the death, and I did" she confirmed. "It just wasn't against who I thought."

"I know the story mum" Andrea admitted. "I know, Marcel came after the crescent and you fought for the pack, and me. And you would have won. If your own coven hadn't murdered you."

"Oh, it was never that simple" Amara chuckled, shaking her head, to herself. "I loved you, your father, and your sister," she said, tears running down her face. "Céleste thought she was bringing a woman with vengeance against the Mikaelson's back, but she was so wrong, I just, wanted to avenge you" she confessed, to her.

"I wanna kill him" Andrea whispered. "But Klaus loves him like a son and I'm scared that ..."

"He'll stop loving you," Amara said, finishing, the sentence for her.

"He doesn't love me" Andrea chuckled.

"Of course, he does" Amra chortled, humour in her voice. "He looks at you just like your father did to me. And even when I betrayed him, by channelling you, he still looked at me like that. But he wasn't a vampire. I can't imagine how much he loves you" she smiled at her.

Andrea was amazed. Her mother was genuinely happy for her and Klaus.

"I thought you were gonna hate me" she muttered.

"For loving someone, you shouldn't?" she asked. "For having a relationship, that is completely forbidden ... yer, I know nothing about that" she teased.

"Why would you risk it?" she asked,. "Why risk everything, for love."

"You're falling for him" Amara muttered, smiling at her. "I swear I won't hurt him, my little dove" she swore.

She hadn't felt such joy in years.

The bliss that comes with family. It wasn't the kind of happiness she thought she would ever experience. For most, once someone dies that's it. They're just gone. But for years, a small part of her had dreamed, she would get the opportunity to say goodbye.

And now, she had the chance, she had no idea, how to say goodbye.

"Klaus is here" Amara declared. "He has Monique" she stammered.

Andrea didn't waste a moment, marching out into the street, to see Klaus holding Monique by the throat. "What the fuck are you doing?" Andrea demanded.

"Looking for Bastiana" he declared. "The witch on her second life has decided to come after a friend of mine, and she must suffer for it."

"Klaus she's a kid" Andrea snapped. "Let her go, right now" she demanded.

"You know, I can't do that" he sighed.

"What if it was our daughter?" she asked, her hand falling down to her stomach. "Would you threaten her, as well?"

She noticed Papa Tunde's blade in his hand, and she hated how tempted she was, to drive it straight through his chest.

"Let her go, Klaus" she pleaded. "Please let her go before I do something I'm going to regret."

"You would betray me for her?" he asked.

Before Andrea could react, Sophie appeared, driving the blade through his chest. A sob choked from her lips, as she watched it burrow into her chest, as he cried out in pain. For once, there was fear in his voice.

Bastiana suddenly appeared, Andrea raised her head, staring the witch down. "Back away" she warned, grabbing Klaus and throwing him into the abandoned church, she had been in, only minutes ago.

"Or what, child?" she asked.

"Or I'll kill you" she shrugged. "I don't fucking care."

The witch hummed, sending her into a slumber.

~*~

Sweat rolled over Andrea's forehead, as she opened her eyes to see the swish of fiery red hair. "Mama" she gasped.

"I'm here" she replied, continuing to dab a cloth over her forehead. "I'm here dove, you're safe."

"What happened?" she husked, her throat dry and raw, from the torture she had endured.

"Bastiana is the same bitch as always. She cursed you, I've managed to relocate it onto another witch, so I promise, your fine now" she assured her.

"Who'd you give it to?" Andrea asked, feeling her head begin to throb.

"Do you want me to be honest?" she asked.

"Yes."

"I gave it to Céleste" she admitted.

"I fucking love you" she chuckled.

The memories of the night before suddenly came back to her. Klaus cries as Sophie drove Papa Tunde's blade straight into his heart. Moments later, knocked out, herself.

She threw herself up, so she was sitting on the bed. "Where's Klaus" she instantly asked. "Where is he?" she demanded.

Amara hushed her but Andrea wouldn't let her.

"Don't you dare" she snapped, at her. "Where is he?" she demanded.

"Bastian took him" she admitted, grabbing Andrea's arm as she tried to walk away. "You can't go after him, your pregnant and the New Orleans witches want nothing more than to kill this baby. Go back to the Mikaelson Compound, and stay there -"

"How do you know about the Mikaelson compound?" she asked, interrupting her.

"I've taken it upon myself to know everything, Andrea" she beamed, down at her. "But that noble Mikaelson. You need to have more faith in him."

"I'll have faith in whoever I want" she snapped back. "I'm going to go find Klaus, and you can sit here and deal with it because this is my decision" she declared. "Let me make it."

Andrea marched away from her anger, clear with every step. "Just like your father!" Amara yelled after her. A small smile of pride flickered on her lips.
